RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metres

JUNGLE SHARK – Slow to begin.

MISTER CRUNCH – Trainer Steven Lee was fined $200 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of James Locke as the driver of the colt. Broke stride free of interference rounding the first turn, inconveniencing MAGIC CAPTAIN. After considering the recent record of the colt, it was stood down until the completion of two requalifying trials and for 14 days.

ITS A FOND MEMORY – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1400 metres.

MAGIC CAPTAIN – Inconvenienced passing the 1400 metres when MISTER CRUNCH broke stride, before working forward three wide to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample.

RUSTY VEEJAY – Hung in during the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of its Driver Codi Rauchenberger. Hung in after the start. After considering the recent record of the horse, a warning was issued. Held up upon entry to the home straight. After consideration of the horse’s recent record, it was placed on its last chance to race truly.

BAGLEY BOY – Pre-race blood sample.

DOVE LAKE – Improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the lead passing the 800 metres.

RACE 2 – HARVEYS MOWER & CHAINSAW PACE – 2270 metres

NUGGET ROGERS - Pre-race blood sample.

OLE CHESTER – Improved three wide from the 1700 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1600 metres. Stewards queried Driver Blake Jones with regards to the performance of the gelding which tired over the final 600 metres to finish in 10th placing beaten 107 metres. Mr Jones advised he was disappointed in the performance of the horse, however explained that the horse had been working the best it ever has. Mr Jones further explained that when he worked forward to the position outside the leader, the leader kept rolling and therefore he elected to take cover at which point the horse dropped the bit and gave ground. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Jones, the horse was stood down until the completion of one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

FOREVER ON THE PUNT – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres. Post-race swab sample.

JILLIBY RYDER – Broke soon after the start. After considering the recent record of the gelding a warning was issued. Stewards queried Driver Harry O’Neill with regards to the tactics adopted in the middle stages of the event when improving three wide from the 1300 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres. Mr O’Neill advised the horse was new to the stable and had been working well. Mr O’Neill further advised passing the 1300 metres he expected the tempo in the event would slacken and he elected to work forward. Mr O’Neill further advised he was of the opinion the horse’s performance could be attributed to the way in which the race panned out. After considering the explanation provided, Mr O’Neill was issued a reprimand under Rule 142(2) for unacceptable driving, in that Mr O’Neill had erred when deciding to work forward prior to the pace of the event slackening, particularly when considering the horse broke stride at the commencement of the event. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 3 – HERTZ PACE – 2270 metres

SCOTTIE MACH - Pre-race blood sample.

AMBER ALERT – Over raced when racing outside the leader during the middle stages of the event.

THE BANKER NZ – Broke stride free of interference entering the first turn. Ater considering the recent record of the gelding a warning was issued.

BRAEBEACH NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1600 metres.

BURTON – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 4 – STEEL SUPPLIES PACE – 1740 metres

HUDSON RIVER – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

SASSY GABBY - Pre-race blood sample.

HAPPY TOO YA – Caught racing wide entering the home straight before working forward to the position outside the lead passing the 1250 metres.

OUR ULTIMATE ROXY NZ – Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres. Post-race swab sample.

SHE HAUNTS EM - Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 800 metres.

PAYROLL – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 5 – WAGGA PACERS CUP 19TH APRIL PACE – 1740 metres

CARIBBEAN PRIDE – Post-race swab sample.

HEZ HARRYWHO – Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.

UNCHAINMYART – Improved three wide passing the 1250 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.

SMOKIN POCKET – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres.

CHANGEOVER GIRL – Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

RACE 6 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres

LUVTOO – Shifted out upon entry to the home straight and locked wheels with WAMBOYNEINAMERICA which was hanging in, causing LUVTOO to be checked and sustain a flat off side sulky tyre.

BUBBY TO BASE - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

WAMBOYNEINAMERICA – Hung in and locked wheels with LUVTOO, which shifted out upon entry to the home straight.  

ALTA WILLIAM – Inconvenienced and lost its rightful position when JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ shifted down the track approaching the 1250 metres.

JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before being restrained to a position in the running line passing the 1250 metres. Driver John Downey was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that he shifted his runner down the track to a position in the running line passing the 1250 metres when not sufficiently clear of ALTA WILLIAM causing that runner to be inconvenienced and lose its rightful position.

MAGINOT LINE – Inconvenienced and checked inside marker pegs when WAMBOYNEINAMERICA and LUVTOO locked wheels passing the 250 metres.

RACE 7 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS PACE – 1740 metres

MY CRACKLING ROSIE - Pre-race blood sample. Hung out during the score up and was out of position at the start. After considering the recent record of the mare, a warning was issued.

LIEUTENANT ARDEN NZ – Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

ZENXENA – Held up in the home straight and was not fully tested.

DIEING ART – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 8 – MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1740 metres

LEAVEMEOUT – Driver Amy Diebert was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that she allowed her runner to shift down into the sprint lane over the concluding stages placing CAPTAIN TOM into restricted room and contacting marker pegs.

MONGIANA – Improved three wide from the 1250 metres to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

CAPTAIN TOM – Placed into restricted room and contacted marker pegs over the concluding stages when LEAVEMEOUT shifted down into the sprint lane.

CAPTAINS CATCH – Caught racing three wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1300 metres.
