RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

HUNGER STRIKE – When questioned regarding the performance driver R Morris explained that after finding a rearward position in the field was unable to make any ground in the early stages of the event due to the tempo and was left racing in a rearward position.  He further added that when presented for a run leaving the 400 metres failed to travel genuine rounding the final turn where it finished off the event fairly and given the mile rate in the event was not overly disappointed in its efforts.

IDEAL MONDO – Pre-race sample was taken. 

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

LONGWINDINGROAD – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 2 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 1609 metres

SHEZA REBEL – Had a tendency to hang in throughout various stages of the event.

MAJOR MEMPHIS NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

LUKE JOHN NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 3 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres

APACHE WHITESOX – Gave ground over the concluding stage to finish well back.  Stewards advised connections a warning would be issued against the performance.

STORMY WOODS – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken. Driver S Grima was fined the sum of $200 under rule 156(7) in that when rounding the final turn struck the inside wheel disc on a number of occasions. 

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 4 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 1609 metres

A LOT OF LUVIN – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

ROMANEE NZ – Had a tendency to hang in as the field negotiated the final turn. 

JOHN MCLEAN NZ – Hung in briefly and contacted marker pegs as the field negotiated the final turn. 

 

RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

SEVE NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

DIDSHEDOITNZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

WAVETHEBILL NZ – Commenced to weaken as the field negotiated the final turn to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Driver R Morris could not offer any explanation for the performance.  Connections were advised a warning would be issued against the performance and to notify Stewards if anything was amiss in days subsequent.

 

RACE 6 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 2030 metres

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Checked as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion.

ROCKNROLL TONY – Hampered as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion. 

OUR ART CHRISTIAN NZ – Checked as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion.

SHADOW ECLIPSE – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Broke stride during the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Hampered as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion.

SLINGSHOT – Post-race sample was taken.

BE GOOD BENNY – Hampered as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion. 

KISSMELVIS – Broke stride as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion and again coming into the home straight for the run to the finish and continued to gallop for the remainder of the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

METRO MEMORY – Pre-race sample was taken.  Hampered as the field raced down the back straight on the final occasion.

BEANCOUNTER – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event and was hampered racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

JEFFCOATE – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event and was hampered racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 7 – SHARP OFFICE PACE – 2030 metres

OAK RIDGE – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A warning was issued.

ROCKNROLL CLARRY – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  Had a tendency hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.  A warning was issued.  Driver L Osborn was cautioned in relation to the manner in which applied the whip.

MY LADY SARAH – Had a tendency to hang out during the latter stages of the score up.  Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event and gave ground over the concluding stages. 

WATSLUVGOTTADO – Hampered during the latter stages of the score up.

LOUIGI – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKNROLL WILLY – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Whilst in a gallop broke the near side connecting strap and continued to race in the field before breaking stride racing down the back straight on the final occasion.

TOKOLOSHE – Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

MELFIELD SORYT – Post-race sample was taken.

KEYANG HARLOW – Pre-race sample was taken.

RAINBOW REASON – Fractious in the early stages of the score up by way of bucking and started out of position.  Continued be fractious until being retired from the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

POLISH PRINCE – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
