RACE 1 –PENRITH MAZDA PACE – 1720 metres

BANDIT EYES – Galloped out at the start and a warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding.

DOUBLE IT HARRY – Post-race sample.

CHOOCHOO TRAIN – Hung in during the score up and immediately after the start. A warning was issued. Inconvenienced leaving the back straight on the final occasion when trailing EPIC ERNIE, when that runner was giving ground.

EPIC ERNIE – Galloped in the score up, however regained its barrier position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of the gelding. Over-raced during the early and middle stages. Gave ground over the final 600m.

WATCH YOUR BACK NZ – Pre-race sample. Over-raced during the early stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormal findings. Driver W Rixon explained that the gelding contacted its own sulky wheels in the early stages of the event and as a result over-raced. Mr Rixon further advised that WATCH YOUR BACK NZ also may have resented the bit used on the gelding in tonight’s event. Mr Rixon added due to having its first race start for the stable since arriving from New Zealand the stable would make the necessary gear adjustments prior to the next start.

SALERO – Inconvenienced after the start when BANDIT EYES galloped.

 

RACE 2 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 1720 metres

CROWN MOJO – Held up for clear racing room in the home straight on the final occasion and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

PLAYFUL MISS – Pre-race sample.

DILETTO – Held up for clear racing room in the home straight on the final occasion and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

DESIDERIO – Post-race sample.

MADAZALWAYS – Held up for clear racing room in the home straight on the final occasion and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

GIMME A REASON – Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 3 – COLLECTORS PLANT FARI APRIL 12 & 13 3YO PACE – 1720 metres

BLISSES BEST – Trainer T Williams was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of C Geary as the driver of the filly. Inconvenienced in the home straight due to VESPA STRIDE shifting out under pressure.

MAC THUNDER – The training partnership of D & K McDowell were fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of C McDowell as the driver of the gelding.

VESPA STRIDE – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.

LOCKITONEDDY – Post-race sample.

ADDOCAR – Pre-race sample. Out of position at the start and a warning was issued.

SEE THE DREAM – Hung in at the 1200m, contacting marker pegs, as a result Driver R Morris dropped his left foot for momentarily from the sulky footrest.

CRUSADER MISS – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late driving notification of D Murphy as the driver of the filly.

 

RACE 4 – PENRITH RSL CLUB PACE – 2125 metres

ALTA SIERRA – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

GOODTIME BRAVO – Gave ground over the final 400m to be beaten 54m.

DAN FERNANDO NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. No claims were lodged for this runner.

TIMELY SOVEREIGN – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts and acquiring the age of 12 years old. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 5 – STARZ GAME SHOW @ CLUB PACEWAY APR 12 PACE – 1720 metres

MR TEDDY NZ – Post-race sample.

SHADES OF HEAVEN – Pre-race sample.

POLKA DELIGHT NZ – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

MAJOR STATEMENT – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 6 – FISHOS RAFFLES EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT @ CLUB PACEWAY PACE – 2125 metres

WEAREALLALONE – Gave ground over the final 400m to be beaten 44.5m.

TELL ME THIS NZ – Galloped clear of interference rounding the final turn. In assessing the geldings previous racing record connections were advised that TELL ME THIS NZ would be stood down for a period of 28 days and until the completion of four trials.

STELLINA – Post-race sample.

CRACKABRIE NZ – Pre-race sample.

RUM DELIGHT NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts and the age acquiring of 12 years old. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

CLEMENTSORRELL – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding starting in excess of 200 starts and the age acquiring of 14 years old. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 7 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2125 metres

Due to COULDNT CATCH HIM falling to the track in the vicinity of the 1300m and being unable to be shifted from the track the race fall siren was sounded when the remainder of the field passed the 900m. After taking submissions from drivers and assessing the distance in which the runners had completed, an announcement was made to abandon the event and all monies invested to be refunded.

COULDNT CATCH HIM – Pulled hard in the score up and then raced fiercely and raced well in advance of the remainder of the field, when leading. In the vicinity of the 1600m commenced to choke down and was shifted to the outside of the track before falling to the track. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal abnormalities. COULDT CATCH HIM was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

RACE 8 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

MYDNIGHT – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.
