RACE 1 – CORDINA CHICKEN FACTORY OUTLET PACE – 1609 metres

MICK DANGER – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

CASSIUS DECK – pre-race blood sample.

NO HEART THROB NZ – Post-race swab sample.

JOE NIEN – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

DOM TORETTO NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 2300 metres

MONTEFIORE NZ – Over raced during the early and middle stages of the event. Raced roughly between the 950 metres and 800 metres when improving onto the back of JALANEEL and as a result the runners on the marker pegs were all inconvenienced.

LUKE JOHN NZ – Over raced during the early and middle stages.

PORT AU PRINCE NZ – Stewards approved Driver J Coney as a late driving replacement for K Morris who was indisposed. Over raced during the early and middle stages.

JALANEEL – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

ROCKTAGONAL – Pre-race blood sample.

QUIET STORM – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1750 metres.

SHEFFIELD SPARKY NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 2000 metres. Post-race swab sample.

IDEAL MARQUESS – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 36.6 metres and finished in last position.

 

RACE 3 – CONFEDERATE STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM FFA – 1609 metres

MACH DA VINCI NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 24.3 metres, finishing in last position.

TERRY NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1100 metres.

OOGA CHAKA – Pre-race blood sample.

ARDENS ACE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

PETES SAID SO NZ - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

KANENA PROVLIMA – Stewards approved Driver J Coney as a late driving replacement for K Morris who was indisposed. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

JAY OK – Post-race swab sample.

IM THE FALCON NZ – improved three wide from the 1000 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 850 metres.

 

RACE 4 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 2300 metres

MISTER MANAGER – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

CASH AND BLING – Pre-race blood sample.

HAS THE COURAGE – Post-race swab sample.

BETTERTHANFEDERER - Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

JILLIBY FABIO – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1700 metres. Stewards questioned Driver W Rixon in relation to the performance of the gelding when being beaten 3.1 metres finishing in 5^th position ($2.60 fav). Mr Rixon explained that after obtaining a favourable first half which was recorded in 61.6 seconds the gelding was disappointing when failing to find the line over the concluding stages and noted connections were disappointed with the gelding’s previous run. Mr Rixon explained connections will advise Stewards if anything becomes apparent with the gelding in the coming days.

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE GOLDEN EASTER EGG (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2300 metres

LUV THE NITELIFE – Pre-race blood sample. Hung in rounding the first turn. Post-race swab sample.

MARY ANNE ROSE – Over raced during the middle stages of the event. Stewards questioned Driver J Gallagher in relation to the seemingly disappointing performance of the filly when failing to run on over the final 600 metres to be beaten 74.9 metres and finished in last position. Mr Gallagher explained that due to the slow early tempo of the event the filly over raced and failed to find the line and was disappointing over the concluding stages. in view of the filly’s disappointing performance, MARY ANNE ROSE was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

SUGAR PIE HONEY – Over raced when positioned outside the leader until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 900 metres.

LULLABY NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 6 – IRT TAILAMADE LOMBO LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

A LOT OF LUVIN – L McCarthy was approved as a late driving replacement for K Morris who was indisposed.

DESTINY STRIDE – Pre-race blood sample.

MARIA ALLEGONDA NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1250 metres. Post-race swab sample.

MOTH HUNTER – Pre-race blood sample.

IDEAL IN DREAMS – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

WINDY HILL TARA – Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 7 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED PACE – 1609 metres

PROMISING – Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.

BETTOR KEPPEL – Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight.

AMERICAN HAMMER – Pre-race blood sample.

SWELL TIME NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

SEVE NZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1300 metres. Post-race swab sample.
