RACE 1 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

PAPENHUYZEN NZ – Pre-race swab. Trainer David Micallef was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the mare in gear which was not correctly declared.

ROXELLA – Yielded ground from the 600m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 62.7m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A warning was issued against ROXELLA racing competitiveness.

MILOLOA ROCK – Held up during the early stages of the home straight.

IDEAL CRUISER – Fractious during the early stages of the score up however was in position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against IDEAL CRUISER barrier manners.

LE BETTY – Fractious during the early stages of the score up however was in position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against LE BETTY barrier manners.

HEAVENS BADGIRL – Post-race swab.

MARDIBRINGSAPARTY – Hung inwards for majority of the event despite the drivers’ efforts.

RACE 2 – NORTH SHORE CAFE PACE – 1740 metres

JILLIBY RYDER – Driver David Moran was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to maintain his position until the start was effected.

SECRET LINE – Raced roughly approaching the 400m.

SPIRIT LEVEL – Hung outwards & raced roughly shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of SPIRIT LEVEL.

SHEZA BETTOR GEM – Held up during the early stages of the home straight.

COASTAL DRIVE – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

RACE 3– NUTRIEN EQUINE RIVERINA CHAMPIONSHIPS MARES PRELUDE –2270 metres

ALWAYS ADORNED – Refused to score up and was significantly out of position when the start was effected. Took no competitive part in the event. ALWAYS ADORNED will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

EVER ART – Pre-race swab. Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

EYE KEEP SMILING – Post-race swab.

RACE 4 – BOOTS CIVIL | MILBRAE QUARRIES RIVERINA CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTIRES & GELDINGS HEAT 1 – 2270 metres

SUPA AMERICAN – ($5.00) Driver Jack Callaghan was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the entire which finished in in 8th position beaten 17.3m after leading. Mr Callaghan advised SUPA AMERICAN to be disappointing and attributed the performance to a combination of SUPA AMERICAN commencing to pull hard from the 1600m onwards combined racing over the longer distance of 2270m for the first time to be the main contributing factors to SUPA AMERICAN performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Jason Grimson would be contacted in the ensuring days to the progress of the entire subsequently from the event.

ITZMINEONTHELINE – Driver Seaton Grima was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the gelding with more than a wrist flicking action and overt force inside the final 250m.

CAPTAIN HAMMERHEAD – Post-race swab.

RACE 5 – BOOTS CIVIL | MILBRAE QUARRIES RIVERINA CHAMPIONSHIPS ENTIRES & GELDINGS HEAT 2 – 2270 metres

ALTA WILLIAM – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

SWEETHEART BART – Pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

TIMMY RICTOR – ($1.33 Fav) Pre-race swab. Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of TIMMY RICTOR. Driver Jack Callaghan was queried into the overall performance of the entire which finished in 4th position beaten 6.3m after racing in a favourable running line position and directed wider from the 250m. Mr Callaghan advised he was satisfied with the overall performance of the entire as TIMMY RICTOR hung inwards under pressure at a vital stage upon straightening approaching the 200m which resulted in the entire having to be corrected combined with TIMMY RICTOR is racing much stronger seasoned opposition now since coming out juvenile age restricted races. Mr Callaghan advised he would recommend to Trainer Jason Grimson to undertake gear alterations to prevent the entire hanging inwards prior to starting in the final on Saturday 19th April 2025.

RACE 6 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metre

BIDGEE BABE – ($6.00) Trainer/driver Shane Hallcroft was queried into the tactics adopted upon the mare in particular in his decision not to direct the mare to the sprint lane once it became available which resulted in the mare being held up and finishing in 10th and last position beaten 14.8m. Mr Hallcroft advised the BIDGEE BABE was not suited in drawing barrier one (1) as the mare does not process any natural gate speed which resulted in the mare being crossed and caught racing three (3) back along the marker line. Mr Hallcroft added BIDGEE BABE raced ungenerously throughout the event in hanging outwards which was the main factor he was unable to direct the mare into the sprint lane. After viewing the available replays which supported Mr Hallcroft’s comments Stewards placed BIDGEE BABE on its last chance to race truly.

THE LURKER – Post-race swab.

GLAMORS SYMBOL – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

CHARGING BULL – Pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

GOODTIME MIKI – Pre-race swab. Pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

RACE 7 – WAGGA PACERS CUP APRIL 19TH PACE – 1740 metre

FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ – ($3.40) Pre-race swab. Broke gait during the score up checking runners on the second row causing a false start being declared. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ. Driver Harrison Ross was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 6th position beaten 26.2m after leading. Mr Ross advised FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ to be disappointing and attributed the performance to the mare causing the false start and becoming agitated afterwards and consistent pressure applied throughout the event which resulted in the mare compounding inside the final 50m. Trainer Phillip Bryce advised he was disappointed in the performance, and that he would look to have FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ undergo chiropractic therapy prior to starting again.

SHEZ BETTORS BABE – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

JACKS LAST HOO RAA – ($16.00) Driver Jack Stockton was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th and last position beaten 32.9m after racing behind the leader throughout. Mr Stockton attributed the performance to the gelding becoming highly agitated following the false start.

BRAEBEACH NZ – Post-race swab.

RACE 8 – NIXONS ENGINEERING PACE – 1740 metre

RYKER – ($12.00) Driver David Druitt was queried into the tactics adopted during the early stages of the event in particular if he gave consideration in obtaining a trail on MOTHER WAS A MUDDA when challenged after the start and the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 60.4m after leading. Mr Druitt advised he elected to maintain the lead shortly after the start due to the fact MOTHER WAS A MUDDA was racing extremely roughly and felt with its racing manners it would not be a suitable runner to follow and felt RYKER had trailed well leading up to its first start which he expected a forward performance. Mr Druitt added RYKER is one paced therefore he kept flicking the gelding throughout the event to maintain an even speed which was the main reason in recording a second quarter of 29.8 seconds. Mr Druitt added the gelding was tightened for racing room approaching the 500m for some distance afterwards when MOTHER WAS A MUDDA hung inwards at which point RYKER failed to compete in a genuine manner & provided to be disappointing over the concluding stages.  

STRIX – Hung inwards and contacted marker pegs passing the 1400m.

HEAVENS GOTTA WAIT – Pre-race swab.

MOTHER WAS A MUDDA – Raced extremely roughly shortly after the start was effected. MOTHER WAS A MUDDA will now be placed on its last chance in the draw. Hung inwards severely when racing outside the leader despite the drivers’ efforts passing the 500m and could not be driven forward tightening the racing room of the leader RYKER. Yielded ground to finish in 8th position beaten 54.6m. MOTHER WAS A MUDDA will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion due to its poor racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ITS A FOND MEMORY – Began badly as the start was effected. ITS A FOND MEMORY will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

DOVE LAKE – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

JUST LIKA DREAM – Inconvenienced passing the 400m.

JUNGLE SHARK – Driver James Locke was issued a reprimand for shifting ground passing the 400m when MOTHER WAS A MUDDA was giving ground he shifted JUNGLE SHARK outwards which tightened the racing room of BONDI BEACH NZ which was taken wider and inconveniencing JUST LIKA DREAM.

RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metre

NIFTY JOLT – ($8.50) Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Driver Blake Jones was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 16.2m after surrendering the lead passing the 900m. Mr Jones attributed the performance to the constant speed & pressure during the first half which was recorded in 57.4 seconds which may be beyond the gelding capabilities at this stage of its career.

ARKLOW – Pre-race swab

DIDNT I – Yielded ground rapidly from the 600m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 57.4m. A warning was issued against the racing competitiveness of the mare.

WEENEEDDREAMS – Post-race swab.

CLASSIC BEESMACK – ($1.35 Fav) Pulled hard during the score up. Driver Jackson Painting was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 5th position beaten 8.5m. Mr Painting advised CLASSIC BEESMACK racing fiercely during the early stages of the event which the gelding had to endure more work than anticipated to obtain the lead passing the 900m as he attempted to ease the pace once obtaining the lead in recording a third quarter in 29.5 seconds.
