RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE AT BHRC PACE – 1730 metres

UNCLE CRAIGO – Pre-race blood. 

MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Held up for clear racing room until the final 200 metres. 

ROWDY SHANNON – Post-race swab.

 

RACE 2 – CONGRATULATIONS TOBY & CHLOE SLOANE – TIED THE KNOT TROT – 1730 metres

EXCESS VITALITY – Driver J Hewitt was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have his horse in position prior to the start. 

NO LUCK – Pre-race blood.  Driver J Turnbull was fined the sum of $100 under rule 170(2) in   the home straight on the final occassion has had his body protruding from the confines of the sulky.  Post-race swab.

 

RACE 3 – SUCCESS STUD WARATAH HEAT – 1730 metres

HAPPY REG – Pre-race blood.  Post-race swab.

POSH FELLA NZ – Driver J Turnbull was cautioned on his whip use in the home straight on the final occasion.

LOVE WATCH – At the request of connections the gelding will be reverted from right outside the mobile barrier draw to outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

 

RACE 4 – BOURKES HORSE RUGS PACE – 2260 metres

CAMANCHI WARRIOR –  Over raced throughout the event.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – Pre-race blood. 

IM DESIRABLE – Post-race swab.

VAMOS – Over raced throughout the event.

BETTER SHUSH – Over raced throughout the event.

 

RACE 5 – COBBITTY EQUINE PACE – 1730 metres

BOULEVARDOFDREAMS – Post-race swab.

SKITTLE BOMB NZ – Inconvenienced in the score up when locking wheels with STUDLEIGH MELISE and as a result broke stride for a short distance.  Driver B Micallef was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the first turn has shifted his runner down the track when insufficiently clear of MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ and as a result that runner was tightened for racing room.

HES CHIMING – Pre-race blood. 

WATCHMEDAZZLE – Driver Jemma Coney was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have her runner in position prior to the start. 

MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ – When negotiating the first turn was tightened for racing room when SKITTLE BOMB NZ had shifted down the track when insufficiently clear.  Driver Jye Coney was questioned on the overall performance of the gelding.  He stated when working forward from the 1300 metres he made a short challenge for the lead the race but when HES CHIMING appeared to have dropped the bit. When unable to obtain the lead had to race outside the leader which may have been detrimental to the gelding’s overall performance.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 6 – MOORHEAD CRANES PACE – 2260 metres

TRUE LOGIC – Driver J Dean was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing maintain his position behind the barrier arm prior to the start.

HALL MOST AN ANGEL – Pre-race blood.

LAYLA SHANNON – Driver T Bullock was queried on the perceived improved performance of the mare.  He stated the mare was racing in a consistent manner prior to Bathurst 15 January 2025 where the mare was disappointing and may have contracted a virus. The mares work was and was eased up and has improved with recent racing.  He further added the mare had worked exceptionally well leading into the race and the stable was expecting a forward showing.  Post-race swab.

MAMMALS HEART – Broke stride shortly after the start.  A warning was issued.  Tended to race rough in the early and middle stages of the event.  Furthermore, the mare raced roughly when racing under pressure over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 7 – RELIANCE BANK PACE – 2260 metres

HELENS BOY – Pre-race blood.  Post-race swab.

MAMMALS GIRL – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event.

SOMETHING FOR LEXY – Driver J Hewitt was questioned on the overall performance of the filly.  He stated that after beginning moderately had a short challenge for the lead as he believed racing outside the leader over the longer distance would prove detrimental to the overall performance of the gelding.  He further added when unable to obtain the lead the mare had a comfortable run racing outside the leader but racing over the longer distance racing without cover to be the main reason for the performance.

BELLAGANOOSH – Galloped out when the start was affected.  A warning was issued.

HAZZA IS WATCHING – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  A warning was issued.

COUNT MONTECARLO – Inconvenienced shortly after the start when BELLAGANOOSH had broke stride.

THE DANCER – Inconvenienced shortly after the start when BELLAGANOOSH had broke stride.

PLEASE DONT ASK – Broke stride shortly after the start.  Considering the mare’s recent record, it will be continued to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

GABBYS SPORTSTAR – A pre and post-race veterinary examination were conducted as the gelding has had over 200 race starts.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 8 – BARKERS BUTCHERY PACE – 1730 metres

MISTER BOMBASTIK – Pre-race blood. 

SEASIDE BALL GOWN – Post-race swab.
