RACE 1 – ANZAC DAY APRIL 25 PACE – 2125 metres

RUM DELIGHT NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

LANI KAI BEACH – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

GREY CADILLAC – Pre-race blood sample.  Driver Jye Coney was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position until the start was affected.

MIZZZ ADELE – Post-race swab sample.

STELLINA – Pre-race warm up.

ROCKSIE ROCK – Hung in passing the 1600 metres.  Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres when GREY CADILLAC commenced to give ground.

 

RACE 2 – ODE OF REMEMBRANCE PACE – 2125 metres

IMA SHINKANSEN – Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight.

DYNAMITES BEST – Broke shortly after the start and a warning was issued.

TRISTAR FOR CHRIS – Out of position at the start and in view of the gelding’s recent poor record it will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.  Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight.

HARLEEQUIN – Post-race swab sample.

LONGTAN VIPER – Pre-race blood sample.

KASBAH – Driver Nathan Xuereb was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 10th placing beaten 34 metres ($3.60).  Mr Xuereb explained that KASBAH had over raced during the middle stages when positioned outside the leader and felt the gelding may benefit from a brief let up prior to its next race start.  A post-race veterinary examination of KASBAH failed to reveal any significant findings.

 

RACE 3 – WE WILL REMEMBER THEM PAC E- 1720 metres

PROTAGONIST – Post-race swab sample.

BOLERO – Pre-race blood sample.  Paced roughly shortly after the start and a warning was issued. 

 

RACE 4 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

BETTINE – Over raced during the middle stages.

TENACIOUS D NZ – Declared a late scratching at 9.20am acting on veterinary advice.

ALTA SIERRA – Post-race swab sample.

HOT CRUISE CONTROL – Pre-race blood sample.

NOTSOKOOL – Over raced during the middle stages.  Paced roughly passing the 150 metres before breaking inside the final 100 metres.  A warning was placed on the record of NOTSOKOOL.

 

RACE 5 – LEST WE FORGET PACE – 2125 metres

The all clear of this event was delayed when the photo finish system failed resulting in the placings being confirmed via the video replay.  Upon review the all clear was given on the following placings:  1stPRINCE OF PEACE, 2ndOURTREACHEROUS REIGN NZ, 3rdCOVER GIRL NZ and 4thIMA QUEEN BEE.

CONSTANTINA – Broke during the early part of the score up and a warning was issued.   

COVER GIRL NZ – Broke during the early part of the score up and a warning was issued.

BARNSTORMER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke during the middle stages of the score up and a warning was issued. 

RADIANT AMBER – Inconvenienced passing the 1400 metres when A LOT OF LUVIN commenced to tire before being retired from the event.

DAN FERNANDO NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

PRINCE OF PEACE – Post-race swab sample.

A LOT OF LUVIN – Commenced to give ground passing the 1400 metres before being retired from the event shortly after.  A post-race veterinary examination of A LOT OF LUVIN revealed the mare to be displaying atrial fibrillation and in accordance with Rule 101C A LOT OF LUVIN will now be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days, until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards and until the satisfactory results of an ECG are tendered.

 

RACE 6 – THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD PACE – 2125 metres

The start of this event was delayed avoiding a clash with Race 5 from The Gardens.

KNOCKOUT TYSON – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten in excess of 91 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination of KNOCKOUT TYSON failed to reveal any significant findings.  Given the beaten margin (91 metres) KNOCKOUT TYSON will be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of Stewards.

HEAVENLY REASON – Post-race swab sample.

WEAREALLALONE – Over raced during the early stages.

MEMPHIS FURY – Held up rounding the home turn in the early part of the straight.

BARA RILEY – Pre-race blood sample.  Over raced during the middle stages.  Checked and hung out when held up behind KNOCKOUT TYSON passing the 800 metres when that runner commenced to give ground resulting in BARA RILEY pacing roughly.  Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight.

OKAY GRINGO – Pre-race blood sample.  Presented on course four hours prior to this event in accordance with the HRNSW Elevated TC02 Policy.

 

RACE 7 – TAB VENUE MODE LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

HONOLULU PRINCESS – Broke shortly after the start resulting in PLAYFUL MISS which was drawn behind being inconvenienced.  A warning was placed on the record of HONOLULU PRINCESS

MELFIELD SORYT – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

BETTING STAR – It was noted at the completion of the event the mare had dropped its near side knee boot.

PLAYFUL MISS – Inconvenienced shortly after the start when HONOLULU PRINCESS broke gait.

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Held up rounding the home turn in the early part of the straight.

 

RACE 8 – THE LAST POST PACE – 2125 metres

GO TESS GO – Pre-race blood sample.  Held up rounding the home turn in the early part of the straight.

TIGER EUPHEME – Post-race swab sample.

ROSES ARE BEST – Checked approaching the 400 metres when KINGSTON RAINBOW commenced to give ground.

TWO SAINTS – Broke during the score up, was out of position at the start and a warning was issued.  Broke on two occasions during running clear of interference and in view of the horse’s recent poor record Stewards ordered that TWO SAINTS be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on 3 occasions and also be stood down from racing for a period of 21 days.  In not taking more severe action against TWO SAINTS Stewards were mindful the horse was only having its fifth race start.

ARMA THE GREAT – Checked approaching the 400 metres when KINGSTON RAINBOW commenced to give ground resulting in ARMA THE GREAT making contact with the sulky of ROSES ARE BEST and ARMA THE GREAT breaking gait.
