RACE 1 – RURAL SUPPLIES COOLAMON PACE – 1760 metres
NIFTY JOLT – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
TIGER CHEDDAR – Unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.
CLASSIC BEESMACK – Post-race swab sampled.
IMPERIOUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Had a tendency to over-race while being restrained in the early stages of the event.
THE BANKER NZ – Out of position at the start, connections were advised that it would continue to be placed outside the draw in mobile start races.
RACE 2 – THE MITAVITE COOL VITALITY PACE – 1760 metres
HEZ ON THE BUZZER NZ – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and until near the 100 metres.
PADDY MACH – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 12 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
NIFTY RONALD – Shifted in leaving the 1600 metres, as a result THE MOUNTAIN was tightened for room. At a subsequent inquiry, Driver T Osmond pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that leaving the 1600 metres, she shifted her runner in when not sufficiently clear of THE MOUNTAIN which was tightened for room and was checked. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account T Osmond’s guilty plea, her driving record with regards to this rule and the particular circumstances of the incident, in that shortly after the tightening, the pace in the running line eased, which may have contributed to the level of interference suffered. Driver T Osmond had her license to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days, to commence at midnight the 26th of April. Broke gait near the 200 metres, T Osmond reported that the gelding’s shortener chord became entangled around its hind legs causing it to gallop, given the circumstances no action was taken. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
FULL OF SPICE – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race. Trainer/Driver M Hardy was questioned regarding the tactics, he stated that he initially went back at the start in an attempt to get cover in the running line, but when he saw HES A TERROR improving to the position outside the leader he elected to improve forward as he felt that runner would surrender that position to him. He added that approaching the 1000 metres he could see that HES A TERROR was not going to surrender that position and elected to allow his runner to run along at a pace it was comfortable with and without pressuring it or the runners to his inside, as he felt going back to last at that point would be detrimental to his chances, in particular with the majority of the runners being in the running line and how far back he would have had to go.
BRAEBEACH NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
THE MOUNTAIN – Tightened for room and checked leaving the 1600 metres when NIFTY RONALD shifted-in.
MOP NZ – Checked leaving the 1600 metres when THE MOUNTAIN was checked.
THE CLOCK WINDER – Checked and raced roughly leaving the 1600 metres when MOP NZ was checked.
RACE 3 – GARRY ARMSTRONG MEMORIAL/COOLAMON BUTCHERY PACE – 1760 metres
BONDI BEACH NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
LOOKIDEAL – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
FLUTTERING ANGEL – Post-race swab sampled.

BIDGEE BABE – Hung-in under pressure upon entering the home straight.
MELATI BOY – Hung-out under pressure upon entering the home straight.
SHEZ BETTORS BABE – Post-race swab sampled.
ROLL PLAY – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 5 – THE DENNIS FAMILY PACE – 1760 metres
BOLANALONG – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
RACE 6 – JACK GRADY MEMORIAL PACE – 1760 metres
GEOFFREY BEE – Pre-race swab sampled.
RUN BUSINESS RUN – Broke gait during the score-up, for which a warning was issued. Raced roughly while racing three wide rounding the turn leaving the 1400 metres. Commenced to lose ground from near the 600 metres and was beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery. Connections were advised it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial prior to its next race start.
LESSISMORE – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 7 – HRNSW GUARANTEED MACARTHUR REAL ESTATE LADYSHIP PACE – 1760 metres
LA FEAST – Hung-out under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued.
TWO MORE DIAMONDS NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
HY MAINTENANCE – Post-race swab sampled.
DOVE LAKE – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
AVA LEANNE – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
RACE 8 – REDFOX ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS COOLAMON PACERS CUP – 2210 metres
MORE GOODA NZ – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. Driver R Coelli was questioned regarding the performance, he stated that it raced keenly during the middle stages of the event and was making a bit of an abnormal breathing noise during the run. He added that he felt the run was disappointing although it racing keenly may have contributed to it. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the mare for its performance today.
UNCLE JAY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 13 years old, and was cleared to start. Hung-in rounding the first turn.
KAIRAKI DELIGHT NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
IM DUSTEE – Driver B Jones was queried regarding the performance of the gelding, he stated that he was not too disappointed with its run. He added that it is up in class after its wins prior to having a break and needs to be driven a bit more conservatively in these harder races. He added that he was going to shift down to the marker pegs near the 800 metres when the gelding was off the bit, however he didn’t feel MORE GOODA NZ or TICK A LOCH which were both racing on the pegs were the horses to follow so elected to stay in the running line. He further added that when CARRERA SUNSET NZ commenced to improve three wide to his outside his runner wouldn’t quicken so rounding the home turn he shifted down to the pegs to save ground and the gelding got going again somewhat when back in amongst other runners.
RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 2210 metres
UNCHAINMYART – Trainer/Driver B Harpley was queried regarding the performance of the mare, he stated that he was not too disappointed with its run. He added that it was up in grade and distance and raced fairly keenly, which he felt with those factors combined contributed to her being unable to finish the race off strongly.
ELECTRA GIRL – Pre-race swab sampled.
THALASSOPHOBIA – Post-race swab sampled.
