RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres
CAPTAIN DORIAN – Broke stride during the score up. A warning was issued. Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.
ABSTRACT ART – Had a tendency to shift ground whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Post-race sample was taken.
STEALTH BOMBA NZ – Raced roughly as the field entered the first turn.
BEANCOUNTER – Pre-race sample was taken. Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
STICK MAN NZ – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
RACE 2 – GLOBAL BRANDS LIQUOR PACE – 2030 metres
PAYTONS ROCK NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
COLBY NZ – Hung in and contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn.
YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
HALSEY NICOLE – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Sustained a flat tyre during the event.
LONGWINDINGROAD – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
HEZATREACHEROUS – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 3 – WOLF BLASS PACE – 1609 metres
GENERAL – Shortly after the start was affected MONDELLO BEACH which was attempting for a position on the marker pegs was obliged to be shifted back up the track slightly and in turn racing to its outside SARA TARA SLOY (B McDonough) then had a tendency to hang in contacting the off side wheel of MONDELLO BEACH and breaking stride. Shortly thereafter DEBONAIRE which was trailing was severely checked and ultimately fell severely checking the running of FIRST STRING. As the remainder of the field raced into the home straight on the first occasion the race was called to a stop due to obstructions on the racing line. Upon review of the incident and taking evidence from all drivers Stewards could not lay blame on any one driver or horse and noted the incident advising drivers to take care in all circumstances. Post-race veterinary examination of DEBONAIRE revealed it to have lacerations to both fore legs. On veterinary advice was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness in addition to a stand down from racing for a period of 28 days. A post-race veterinary examination of FIRST STRING revealed a laceration to its near fore leg. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness. Driver Z Fitzpatrick was examined by the on course paramedics and cleared of any serious injury however on precaution was stood down for the remainder of the evening and was advised that a medical certificate of fitness would be furnished prior to driving again. After consultation with the remaining drivers in the event the race would be re-run. Horses DEBONAIRE and FIRST STRING were declared late scratching’s on veterinary advice. All other runners were examined prior to the recommencement and passed fit to take their place in the event.

PEPPA BLISS – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish. Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 4 – MATES4HARNESS HARNESS BREEDERS NSW LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
POPSTAROMAR – Post-race sample was taken.
BOUGANVILLEA – Pre-race sample was taken. Momentarily tightened shortly after straightening for the run to the finish contacting the sulky of SHIRALEE.
RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres
BOBBY WATERHOUSE NZ – Slow away as the start was affected.
PARADISE POINT – Out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
PORT AU PRINCE NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
MAILMAN NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 6 – SHARP OFFICE PAC E- 1609 metres
LACHIES IDEAL – Pulled hard during the score up.
PETES CRUNCH TIME – Post-race sample was taken.
THE COUNTY SHERIFF – Pre-race sample was taken.
IMLIKA – Raced roughly racing down the back straight on the final occasion and weakened out to be beaten a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame in front. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness in addition to the completion of one requalifying trial.
RACE 7 – JOHN HUNTER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL PACE – 2030 metres
FRANKIROMAR – Pre-race sample was taken.
MULLUM ROXY – Had a tendency to over race racing down the home straight coming to the bell and prior to entering the back straight on the final occasion appeared to choke down near to the inside of the course proper and ultimately fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have a laceration to the near side fore leg. Connections were advised it will be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial, a veterinary certificate of fitness and for a period of seven days. Driver A Delosa was examined by the on course paramedics and cleared of any serious injury however was stood down from her remaining engagements and was asked to provide a medical certificate prior to competing again.
DRAKAINA – Post-race sample was taken.
SEE THE DREAM – Out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
SIR CANDY CLOUD – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
RACE 8 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres
TOKOLOSHE – Placed in restricted room upon entering the home straight when racing to the inside of FRANCOS DELIGHT.
TONYS DREAM – Post-race sample was taken.
MIKI LEE – Pre-race sample was taken.
FRANCOS DELIGHT – Driver L Sutton was reprimanded under rule168(1)(a) in that shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish shifted down the track and engaged in a jostle with TOKOLOSHE and shortly thereafter became unbalanced and broke stride.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2030 metres
WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
JOHNNY DEE – Post-race sample was taken.
KISSMELVIS – Sustained a contact to the off side wheel shortly after the start was affected which resulted in a puncture.
AUDACE – Pre-race sample was taken. Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn. A warning was issued. Driver G Andrews pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 168(1)(a) in that shortly after the start was affected closed down the track and contacted the off side wheel of KISSMELVIS resulting in a puncture. Driver G Andrew was fined the sum of $200. When considering penalty Stewards took into account his good record in relation to the rule.
