RACE 1 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP 2YO TROTTERS FOUNDATION HEAT – 1609 METRES

TRINITY RAINBOW – Inclined to hang in after the start and approaching the 1400 metres contacted marker pegs. Passing the 1200 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had a small laceration on the near foreleg. Adopting the veterinary recommendations TRINITY RAINBOW was stood down for a period of 6 days.

CEE CEE IN PARIS – Slow to begin.

IM DREAMING – Broke gait in the latter stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

MISS HOLLY RED – Leaving the 1400 metres had to be steadied when momentarily placed in restricted room and the pace eased. Subsequently MISS HOLLY RED broke gait.

SUPERIOR STRIDE – Approaching the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. SUPERIOR STRIDE will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

ADELAIDE RED – Driver N Day was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for contributing to interference in that leaving the 1400 metres he eased ADELAIDE RED and then shifted in when not quite clear of MISS HOLLY RED to take up the position behind CARTACALHA which caused MISS HOLLY RED to have to be steadied.

GLADIATRIX – Pre-race blood sample. Approaching the 1200 metres was hampered by TRINITY RAINBOW when that runner broke gait. Post-race swab sample.

ACACIA STRIDE – Broke gait during the middle stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. ACACIA STRIDE will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 2 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 METRES

SECOND TO NUN – Gave ground significantly over the concluding stages to be beaten 83 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer/Driver K Morris explained the filly would now be sent for a spell. Given this undertaking, SECOND TO NUN was stood down for a period of 28 days. In addition, the filly was ordered to complete one satisfactory official trial prior to resuming racing for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.

CEE ARE SEVEN – Trainer A Towers was fined $100 under Rule 273(5)(a) for presenting CEE ARE SEVEN into the parade ring in the incorrect saddle cloth number.

ONE PINEVALE HILL – Pre-race blood sample.

DOWN UNDER EARL – Leaving the 500 metres was hampered by SECOND TO NUN which was weakening.

VIKSUN – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

ALPHA STRIDE – Post-race swab sample.

RAKERO WARRIOR NZ – Passing the 250 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – PRYDE’S EASIPERFORMANCE TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 METRES

MALIBUU – Unable to secure clear running until passing the 150 metres.

MACHO MAN – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

CHIEF RUNNINGCLOUD – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 84 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Connections were unable to provide an explanation for the gelding’s performance. Subsequently, CHIEF RUNNINGCLOUD was stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory official trial for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.

WE CAN HAVE IT ALL – Broke gait during the score up and will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

HES A HAMMER – Reincluded in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 METRES

GO TESS GO – Had a tendency to hang in particularly racing between the 1400 metres and the 1100 metres.

BART MAGUIRE NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

NITRO DENNY – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – IRT PACE – 1609 METRES

WOODLEA BEAVER NZ – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up for a short distance and was subsequently out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

CARIBBEAN RUNA – Pre-race blood sample.

WILL I AM – Post-race swab sample.

BETTOR BE LUCKY - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected. Caught wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.

 

RACE 6 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 METRES

CRUSADER MISS – Pre-race blood sample. Unable to secure clear running until passing the 200 metres at which point the filly obtained a run to the inside of LETS TURN IT ON.

PARALLEL – Slow to begin. Had difficulty securing clear running until shifting wider near 150 metres.

WATCH YOUR BACK NZ – Approaching the 100 metres had to be steadied and was hampered when NOTHINGBUTWAVES and ROYAL VINCENT locked wheels.

HESAA LISTER – Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to the position outside the leader near the 1000 metres.

EPIC ERNIE – Over raced during the middle stages and commenced to give ground approaching the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver C Fitzpatrick explained that the gelding failed to settle and over raced and in his opinion the gelding may have choked down. Trainer B McDonough explained the gelding had been sold and would be leaving his stable. Notwithstanding this, connections were advised EPIC ERNIE must complete one satisfactory official trial prior to resuming racing for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Approaching the 100 metres locked wheels with ROYAL VINCENT which was improving to its outside and subsequently NOTHINGBUTWAVES was checked. Driver R Morris pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip to NOTHINGBUTWAVES in more than a wrist only flicking motion on multiple occasions between the 250 metres and the 100 metres. R Morris was fined $200.

LETS TURN IT ON – Raced 3 wide in the early stages before working forward to the lead near the 900 metres. Shifted out under pressure over the final 200 metres.

ROYAL VINCENT – Approaching the 100 metres when improving quickly to the outside of NOTHINGBUTWAVES, shifted in marginally under pressure resulting in ROYAL VINCENT locking wheels with NOTHINGBUTWAVES which caused both runners to be checked. Driver C Geary was found guilty under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying his whip to ROYAL VINCENT in more than a wrist only flicking motion between the 150 metres and the 100 metres. C Geary was fined $200.

 

RACE 7 – MENANGLE PARK PACE – 1609 METRES

DAN FERNANDO NZ - Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

RADIANT AMBER – Unable to secure clear running at any stage in the home straight and was not fully tested.

MONTEFIORE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

DOUBLE IT HARRY – Broke gait approaching the finish. A warning was issued.

 

RACE 8 – FARMER JOES FOOD SERVICES PACE – 1609 METRES

CLASSIC MISSION NZ – Broke gait at the start and lost significant ground. A warning was issued. Unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

CARRERA SUNSET NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

POWER UP NZ – Approaching the 400 metres received slight contact to the near side sulky wheel resulting in POWER UP NZ sustaining a flat tyre.

CHICAGO BART – Approaching the 400 metres when shifting from the running line toward the marker pegs, CHICAGO BART made slight contact with the near side wheel of POWER UP NZ resulting in that runner sustaining a flat tyre. Driver S Grima was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving. Held up in the latter stages of the home straight and not fully tested.
