RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2125 metres

VIOLET HANOVER – Post-race sample.

DYNAMITES BEST – It was reported that leaving the 400m the crupper on the filly slipped. 

OZZIE CORKA – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 2 –WEDNESDAY MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND PACE – 2125 metres

LOUMIA – Inconvenienced and momentarily paced roughly leaving the back straight between TIGER EUPHEME and FOLLOW THE MONEY.

TIGER EUPHEME – Pre-race sample. Held up and unable to obtain clear racing room over the concluding stages. Driver J Gallagher was reprimanded for causing interference leaving the 400m, this movement inconvenienced LOUMIA.

GOTTADOBETTOR – Post-race sample.

SUNSHINE KARAMEA – Galloped upon entering the home straight clear the interference and a warning was issued.

TRISTAR FOR CHRIS – Hung in when improving around the field three wide at the 1400m.

FOLLOW THE MONEY – Hung in rounding the final turn. Inconvenienced at the 200m between TIGER EUPHEME, which was shifting wider and GOTTADOBETTOR, which hung in.

 

RACE 3 – PENRITH MAZDA PACE – 1720 metres

MUFASA BART – Hung out under pressure in the home straight, which allowed an unimpeded run for BETTER HARLEY along the peg line. A warning was issued against the racing manners of MUFASA BART.

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Pre-race sample.

BARA RILEY – Post-race sample.

POLKA DELIGHT NZ – Held up and unable to obtain clear racing room over the concluding stages.

BETTER HARLEY – Held up and unable to obtain clear racing room rounding the final turn before obtaining a clear passage along the peg line.

DESIDERIO – Held up and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish line.

 

RACE 4 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 2125 metres

General – The start was delayed owing to Mornington Race 2 running behind schedule.

ALTA SIERRA – Post-race sample.

SET UP – Pre-race sample.

AMERICAN WEREWOLF – Held up and unable to obtain clear racing room rounding the final turn before gaining an unimpeded run along the peg line.

 

RACE 5 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY PACE – 1720 metres

DONTLETFEARSTOPYA NZ – Pre-race sample.

JILLIBY FABIO – Post-race sample. Racing around the first turn when attempting to gain the lead, hung in and when being corrected by driver A Delosa shifted out for a short distance. 

MERRYWOOD TONY – Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested close to the finish line.

 

RACE 6 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

PLAY SOUTHERNLAND – Was examined prior to the event and passed suitable to participate.

CHOOCHOO TRAIN – Post-race sample.

LARRIKIN LENNY – Pre-race sample.

ED MENDES – Held up over the concluding stages of the event and unable to be fully tested close to the finish line.

HARLEEQUIN – Held up for clear racing room in the home straight and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

RIPSTONE SNORTER – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 7 – INFAMOUS THE CIRCUS TICKETS ON SALE NOW PACE – 2125 metres

RUM DELIGHT NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Inconvenienced LANI KAI BEACH between the 800m and 500m when giving ground.

A VAPAR STORM – Pre-race sample.

GREY CADILLAC – Post-race sample. Driver S Grima was fined $200 under Rule 156(7) for striking the inside wheel disc with his whip on two separate occasions leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

THE BEST OF YOU – Tired to be beaten 95m. Driver C Hart explained that the mare was not suited to racing over the extended distance of 2125m on this occasion and began to be placed under pressure at the winning post with one lap to travel. Mr Hart added that connections would look to place THE BEST OF YOU in shorter distance races going forward in the preparation. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormal findings and connections were advised that THE BEST OF YOU would be stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

LANI KAI BEACH – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Inconvenienced by RUM DELIGHT NZ between the 800m and 500m when giving ground in advance of LANI KAI BEACH.

WHEREISHE – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

TIMELY SOVEREIGN – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 12yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

CLEMENTSORRELL – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding attaining the age of 14yrs & starting in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

 

RACE 8 – BEATS BREWS @ BBQ TICKETS ON SALE NOW PACE – 2125 metres

HES MY REASON – Galloped after the start and a warning was issued. Galloped clear of interference on two separate occasions during running and was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

HELLOVATIME – Inconvenienced behind DECIPHER when that runner commenced to give ground.

KINGSTON RAINBOW – Post-race sample.

DECIPHER – Tired to be beaten 66m. Driver J Gallagher explained that connections had changed some gear since joining the stable one run prior. Mr Gallagher added that DECIPHER failed to feel comfortable or travel at any stage and connections would look to make appropriate gear changes prior to racing again. In assessing the performance of the gelding, it was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

IM NO GIFT – Inconvenienced after the start when MARY ANNE ROSE shifted wider to avoid the galloping HES MY REASON.
