RACE 1 – FARMER JOES FOOD SERVICE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
CEE ARE SEVEN – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
ITZ TRIXTON TIME NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
ONE PINEVALE HILL – Out of position at the start despite the efforts of its driver. Placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Passing the 400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. Connections were advised that ONE PINEVALE HILL must compete one satisfactory official trial prior to resuming racing.
ALADDIN SAME NZ – Near the 400 metres had to be checked away from ONE PINEVALE HILL and raced roughly.
FONDA RHONDA – Broke gait in the score up and was out of position at the start. FONDA RHONDA will now be continued outside of the mobile barrier draw. Near the 450 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. FONDA RHONDA was placed on its last chance to race truly.
RIOTERRA – Re-included into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 2 – HYLAND SPORTSWEAR TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
WE CAN HAVE IT ALL – Passing the 150 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. A warning was issued.
VALLEY STAR NZ – Leaving the 1200 metres when attempting to obtain cover in the running line VALLEY STAR NZ reduced the pace resulting in GUNNER which was trailing to be inconvenienced and AFFAIRE DE COVER which was trailing that runner to be checked and break gait for a short distance. Driver C Hart was issued a reprimand under rule 162(1)(u).
GUNNER – Leaving the 1200 metres improved onto the back of VALLEY STAR NZ at the same time that runner reduced the pace in the running line subsequently GUNNER was inconvenienced.
OH NOVA LOVE NZ – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward. Post-race swab samples were obtained.
AFFAIRE DE COVER – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. Leaving the 1200 metres had to be checked off the back of GUNNER when the paced was reduced resulting in AFFAIRE DE COVER breaking gait for a short distance.
MACHO MAN – Raced four wide in the early stages before shifting in near the 1100 metres.
ALDEBARAN JENSEN – Caught three wide in the early stages before working forward. Momentarily placed in restricted room passing the 1100 metres by MACHO MAN which shifted in slightly. ALDEBARAN JENSEN then was able to obtain a position two wide near the 1000 metres.
HES A HAMMER – Leaving the 1200 metres had to be steadied off the back of AFFAIRE DE COVER when that runner broke gait.
JUNGLE EYES – Raced three wide throughout. When questioned driver G Lee explained that he was instructed by trainer S Lee to allow the gelding to progress forward in the early stages as per the gelding’s normal racing pattern. He said that initially when racing three wide he had cover from ALDEBARAN JENSEN and was keen to follow that runner into the race. However, near the 1000 metres ALDEBARAN JENSEN shifted in to obtain a position in the running line which left JUNGLE EYES exposed three wide. G Lee stated that at that point he did not want to make JUNGLE EYES over work and that looked to steady his runner until allowing him to progress into the race from the 600 metres. G Lee explained that JUNGLE EYES is not a horse is not suited by being restrained to the rear of the field and given the circumstances of today’s event connections were pleased with the manner in which JUNGLE EYES performed. G Lee’s explanation was noted.
RACE 3 – VALE DICK INSKIP – 1609 metres
ROCK ASSET – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
WILL I AM – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
RACE 4 – D M PLUMBING PACE – 1609 metres
HUDSON RIVER – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
THE DEVILS FLAME – Caught wide in the early stages before working forward.
ASTRAL STRIDE – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
CARIBBEAN RUNA – Out of position at the start. A warning was issued.
RACE 5 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres
SHES A WARRAWEE – Raced roughly after the start and continued to race roughly into the first turn. Then near the 400 metres SHES A WARRAWEE was unbalanced and raced roughly into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer D Kennedy explained that it was the filly’s first start at the Menangle track and in his opinion at this stage of the filly’s career she may be better suited leading. He added that SHES A WARRAWEE wears a near side burr and in his opinion she had a tendency to run away from that burr in today’s event. D Kennedy’s explanation was noted however he was advised that SHES A WARRAWEE would be stood down from racing until it can complete one satisfactory official trial due to an unsatisfactory performance.
OUR SPECIAL MEMORY – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
HEEZA MALTEEZA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. Caught wide in the early stages before working forward near the 800 metres.
CASH AND BLING – Leaving the 400 metres was hampered by SHES A WARRAWEE when that runner raced roughly.
RACE 6 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL PACE – 1609 metres
JORDY NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
VINKE B NZ – Caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1100 metres.
MAC BON – Passing the 300 metres was inclined to race roughly for a short distance. Post-race swab samples were obtained.
RACE 7 – SUPER SPRINT WITH ALLCOTT PACE – 1609 metres
SURF ACE – Gave ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. When questioned driver J Gallagher explained that connections were disappointed with the performance. He added that he had to make more use of the gelding in the early stages than expected and the gelding then overraced. J Gallagher stated that had HOLY CAMP DILLON improved sooner into the race he may have given some thought to surrendering the lead to that runner. However, when this did not occur SURF ACE failed to settle which proved to be detrimental. J Gallagher’s explanation was noted.
MARATHON MAN NZ – Broke gait in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.
HOLY CAMP DILLON – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. Caught wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 900 metres.
PROMISING – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
JOE NIEN – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW animal welfare guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.
RACE 8 – BLING IT ON STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres
DOUBLE ACT – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
BOOM NZ – Had difficulty securing clear running until approaching the 100 metres.
ROLL UP NZ – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
ROCLEA IMAGE – Held up for clear running until passing the 200 metres when ROCLEA IMAGE was shifted wider.
DASHING – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.
