RACE 1 – AGTSLOTS.COM TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres

ADDICTIVE STRIDE – Approaching the 2100 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  In view of its recent record connections were advised that ADDICTIVE STRIDE would now be excluded from the standing start barrier draw.

FONDA RHONDA – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

VALLEY STAR NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 2 – SUPER SPRINT WITH ALLCOTT PACE – 1609 metres

MISTER JONES NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

MYTH YOU ALREADY – Caught wide during the early stages before shifting into the running line near the 1100 metres.

 

RACE 3 – CANNIBAL STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

KING COREY – Unable to secure clear running until leaving the 100 metres. 

BROOKESSMARTDANCER – Had difficulty securing clear running until approaching the 100 metres. 

CLASSICMAJOR – Improved three wide during the middle stages before crossing to the position outside of the leader near the 900 metres.

SYLVIA KAY NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

WILL I AM – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

RACE 4 – CORDINA CHICKEN FACTORY OUTLET PACE – 1609 metres

DANCING WITH MY EX – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Unable to secure clear running until passing the 100 metres.

THERES WALLY – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 5 – IRT LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

FAY IRENE – Had a tendency to hang out under pressure over the concluding stages.

KEAYANG BLUE JEANS – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

SNOW HUNTER – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

LE TWIST NZ – Leaving the 1400 metres attempted to shift in to obtain the position forward of BOLERO in the running line. As LE TWIST NZ commenced to shift in PEACE OUT which was racing three wide eased the pace which caused driver L McCarthy to have to steady LE TWIST NZ and desist from continuing to shift in and subsequently LE TWIST NZ became unbalanced and broke gait.

SKY BLU – Had to be steadied away from LE TWIST NZ when that runner broke gait.

 

RACE 6 – PRYDE’S EASIPERFORMANCE PACE – 1609 metres

RIVERA LOU – Gave ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  When questioned trainer J Alchin explained that RIVERA LOU is a frustrating horse to train as he has potential but has shown in his short career he mixes his form without an obvious physiological reason.  He added that at this stage of his career the colt needs races run suitably for him to display his best as he appears to race on confidence.  J Alchin’s explanation was noted however a waring was placed on RIVERA LOU for any consistent performance.

MIKI COHEN NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

ZOOM PARTY – Leaving the 400 metres raced roughly and commenced to weaken.

 

RACE 7 – APG PACING WITH EXCITEMENT PACE – 1609 metres

STORMTIDE – Tired significantly over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  Trainer T Williams explained that the gelding was not suited by the fast first quarter and it will be his intention to look to drive the gelding with cover in the immediate future if met with similar class of opposition as today’s event.  STORMTIDE was placed on its last chance to race truly for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance.

VINKE B NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

FOXY DADA – Post-race swab samples were obtained.
