RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2030 metres
DUTY OF CARE – Pre-race sample was taken. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections were advised it will be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.
BUSHY BEACH NZ – Had a tendency to hang in during the middle stages of the score up.
DANCE WITH CARMER – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 2 – KEN PILGRIM MEMORIAL – 1609 metres
FORGIVE AND FORGET – Had a tendency to hang out during the early stages of the score up.
BLAYA BLANCA – Post-race sample was taken.
MISTER CHEESE – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
SUPNKYS GOTSECRETS – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 3 – JAMES MURRAY FUNERALS PACE – 1609 metres
MAMMALS RIDDLE – Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
AMERICAN WEREWOLF – Placed in restricted room entering the first turn.
HEZA PLAYER NZ – Had a tendency to hang in entering the first turn restricting the racing room of AMERICNA WEREWOLF.
YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
RACE 4 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH AND GRACE PACE – 2030 metres
PRINCESS REMI – At the second attempt at a score up contacted the barrier arm and ducked its head getting underneath the mobile barrier resulting in a false start being declared. Due to the false start and speed of the mobile at that stage no further action was taken.
ALWAYS BE CHAPS – Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
ROCK FISHERMAN – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and driver T Miles raised his hand to indicate an issue to the starter which resulted in a false start being declared. Upon review and taking evidence from driver T Miles he was charged under rule 162(1)(d) for delaying the start as there was no gear issue apparent. T Miles was fined the sum of $200. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance after over racing in the position outside of the leader. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. It was also reported that it sustained a flat tyre over the final 600 metres.
MAJOR REASON – Retired from the event through the middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be displaying signs of cardiac arrhythmia. Connections were advised it would be stood down for a period of 14 days in addition to one requalifying trial and the receipt of a veterinary certificate of fitness including the results of an ECG.
DEBONAIRE – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.
RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres
STAGECOACH – Post-race sample was taken.
SAINT CRUSADER – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.
SURFERS DELIGHT NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.
RAVISHING SLOY – Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn. A warning was issued.
RACE 6 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO FILLIES HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres
ROCKIN MISS REGINA – Post-race sample was taken.
PERFECTDELIGHT – Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn. A warning was issued.
DESIGNA LABEL – Had a tendency to hang out throughout the event. A warning was issued.
WHERES MY REASON – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 7 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND 3YO PACE – 1609 metres
ROREY JAY – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. Connections were advised it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
LAZENA – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
SWEET TARA – Pre-race sample was taken.
RESERVE BANK NZ – When questioned regarding the performance driver J Gallagher explained to Stewards that it had a tendency to hang in on the turns throughout the event which placed it at a severe disadvantage. Connections were advised that a warning would be issued in relation to its tractability.
KASBAH – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 8 – NUTRIEN EQUINE NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO COLTS AND GELDINGS HEAT – ROUND 1 – 1609 metres
GENERAL – Stewards gave consideration to a protest lodged by driver B Elder (GRUMPYSHANNON) second past the post against MYDNIGHT (B Fitzpatrick) first past the post alleging interference entering the first turn. Upon review and taking evidence from all parties acknowledged that GRUMPYSHANNON was momentarily tightened entering the first turn and contacted a marker peg however could not be comfortably satisfied that an alteration of the placings was warranted due to the distance remaining in the event and the runs both runners were afforded. As a result the protest was dismissed.

MYDNIGHT – Pre-race sample was taken. Driver B Fitzpatrick was advised to take greater care in relation to closing down the track and momentarily tightening the running of GRUMPYSHANNON. Post-race sample was taken.
DOUBLE NEEDS – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance to race truly.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres
UPSTREAM – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
MYSTICAL SUNSHINE – When questioned regarding the performance and the finishing efforts driver R Atkins explained to Stewards that after finding himself in a rearward position the tempo through the middle half was quite steady and sprinted home. He further added that his runner had a tendency to hang in rounding the final turn and when racing down the home straight finished off the event well. Stewards noted his comments.
LETS N JOY NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
WAR WESTERN – Pre-race sample was taken. Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw. Had a tendency to over race in the early stages of the event before working to the position outside of the leader.
WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
SLINGSHOT – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
