RACE 1 – HYNASH CONSTRUCTIONS PACE – 2260 metres

TERRYRAMA – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. 

SPEED DIAL – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against SPEED DIAL barrier manners.

OBADIAH DRAGON NZ – Pre-race swab. Driver Seaton Grima was found guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 170(4)(b) which reads: A driver shall not: -Attempt to or allow his foot to be placed in the immediate vicinity of the hind legs of the horse he is drivingThe particulars of the charge being upon entrance to the home straight on the final occasion Mr Grima allowed his right foot to be lowered in the sulky foot rest and permitted his heel to be placed into the vicinity of the hind leg of OBADIAH DRAGON NZ which made contact prior to Mr Grima redirecting his foot higher on the sulky foot rest following the completion of the event. In assessing penalty Stewards were mindful of Mr Grima clear record under this rule. Mr Grima was fined the sum of $200.

RACE 2 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

OUR DANCE MONKEY – Post-race swab.

BLAZING TART NZ – ($26.00) Trainer Seaton Grima was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 9th and last position beaten 60.7m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Grima advised the mare to be extremely disappointing and would now reconsider the racing future of the mare within his stable. BLAZING TART NZ will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

FAY IRENE – Pre-race swab. Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.

RACE 3 – HORSE QUEENED – QUALITY AND NATURAL HORSE CARE PACE – 1730 metres

LUCKY PUNT – Pre-race swab.

SPECIAL SPIN – Broke gait clear of interference approaching the 1100m checking KING BOBBIE & MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS. A warning was issued against the racing manners of SPECIAL SPIN.

KING BOBBIE – Checked approaching the 1100m when SPECIAL SPIN broke gait.

MAMMALS GIRL – Driver Jett Turnbull was issued a reprimand for tightening the racing room of TEDDY FEELS GOOD when directed to a marker line position entering the first turn. Post-race swab.

GRAFFITI LANE – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. GRAFFITI LANE will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. In taking this action Stewards were mindful GRAFFITI LANE was issued a warning at its most recent start for displaying similar barrier manners.

MY ULTIMATE LUCIUS – Checked approaching the 1100m when SPECIAL SPIN broke gait. Back in mobile draw.

TEDDY FEELS GOOD – Tightened for racing room entering the first turn when MAMMALS GIRL shifted inwards.

RACE 4– TOWN & COUNRTY RURAL PACE – 1730 metres

GRAYSON RED – ($5.00) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Mat Rue was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 11.2m after leading. Mr Rue advised he was satisfied with the performance as the gelding only weakened over the final 100m.

RACE 5 – BATHURST TOYOTA PACE – 1730 metres

HES CHIMINGHung outwards despite the driver efforts rounding the final turn. Which allowed sufficient room for ITZMINEONTHELINE which was trailing to improve through prior to the sprint lane becoming available. HES CHIMING will now be placed on its last chance to race truly. Post-race swab. Claimed by Alan Field of Junee.

RACE 6 – NATRIEN BATHURST GOLD CROWN SALE CLOSES 31 OCTOBER PACE – 1730 metres

DOUGS TRIBE – Broke gait clear of interference on two (2) separate occasion during the event at approaching the 1400m & again passing the 400m. DOUGS TRIBE will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on two (2) occasions and stood down for a period of fourteen (14) days. In taking this action Stewards were mindful of the colts poor racing record where the colt was stood down at its most recent start for displaying similar racing manners. 

YA RACIN ARLO – Checked approaching the 1400m when DOUGS TRIBE broke gait. Inconvenienced passing the 400m when ACHY BREAKY ARK hung inwards and broke gait.

JEWEL HEAVEN – Post-race swab.

WATCH ME RAIDER – Inconvenienced passing the 400m when ACHY BREAKY ARK hung inwards and broke gait.

ACHY BREAKY ARK – Pre-race swab. Checked approaching the 1400m when DOUGS TRIBE broke gait. Hung inwards and contacted the sulky of JASPERSTIMETOSHINE and broke gait passing the 400m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of ACHY BREAKY ARK.

RACE 7 – BLUEPRINT SIGNS PACE – 1730 metres

LIVE VANCE – Pre-race swab.

FESTINALENTE – Pre-race swab.

FULLOFFIGHT NZ – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of FULLOFFIGHT NZ.

ZARAS SPECIAL – Post-race swab.

RACE 8 – BCIT SOLUTIONS PACE – 1730 metres

THE DANCER – ($26.00) Yielded ground rapidly from the 600m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 118.4m. Driver Anthony Winnell advised stewards it would be the stables intentions to review the gelding’s racing future and possibly retire the gelding from racing. THE DANCER will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displaying a slow post-race recovery.

POTTER – ($3.70 Fav) Driver Jett Turnbull was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 24.7m after leading. Mr Turnbull advised the gelding to be disappointing and contributed the performance to the pressure applied during the first half of the event when recording a quick first half of 58.9 seconds. Mr Turnbull advised POTTER may be better served driven more conservatively going forward when engaged to race at the Bathurst venue. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

LUCKY ZARA – Checked and race roughly when contacting the sulky of THE DANCER when it commenced to yield ground quickly passing the 600m.

TULHURST TIMMY – Inconvenienced passing the 600m when THE DANCER yield ground quickly.

RACE 9 – RELIANCE BANK PACE – 1730 metres

PIPPAS LITTLE GEM – ($6.50) Pre-race swab. Trainer/driver Amanda Turnbull was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the filly which finished in 8th position beaten 20.3m after leading. Ms Turnbull attributed the performance to the filly displaying signs of being in season & sucking wind for majority of the event which were the main contributing factor to the filly’s performance. Ms Turnbull advised she would take corrective measure to prevent any reoccurrence going forward. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly displaying a slow post-race recovery. 

DEAR DARLING – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of DEAR DARLING. Post-race swab.

MCSIREN – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.
