RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres
D J ROCK NZ – Tightened for racing room entering the first turn when raced up to the inside of FAY IRENE and as a result contacted marker pegs.
CONOR MCGREGOR NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
BEERSINMYPOCKET – Had a tendency to over race in the middle stages of the event.
ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Had a tendency to over race in early and middle stages of the event.
CAPTAIN GROOVE – Post-race sample was taken.
FAY IRENE – Driver S Grima was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when negotiating the first turn after initially closing down the track with the required had D J ROCK NZ progress to its inside prior to reaching a marker peg position shortly thereafter D J ROCK NZ was as a result of being placed in restricted room contacted marker pegs.
RACE 2 – RUN AT ME MARSHY PACE – 2030 metres
HARMONY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.
MISTER POVERTY – Pre-race sample was taken.
ZEN MASTER – When questioned regarding his driving over the final 600 metres driver L Green reported to Stewards that ZEN MASTER had a tendency to hang out throughout various stages of the event in particular when racing into the back straight on the final occasion and when rounding the final turn. This ultimately resulted in BOLERO obtaining inside running rounding the final turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a pustule near the wither region which was in contact with the saddle which would have caused discomfort through the run and may have contributed to its tractability. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down for a period of seven days in addition to a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to racing again.
RACE 3 – BONVILLA ESTATE PACE – 1609 metres
ABDICATE NZ – A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be displaying signs of the thumps. Acting on veterinary advice was stood down for a period of seven days in addition to a veterinary certificate of fitness.
CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
WAR WESTERN – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
KISSMELVIS – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 4 – CHADDIES ON REGENT WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres
KARAOKE KING – Pre-race sample was taken. Had a tendency to hang out as the field raced into the back straight on the final occasion.
LOVE LOU – Driver Taaffe was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when driving out over the concluding stages attempted a run to the inside of THE GREEK GENERAL and on passing the finish contacted the near side wheel and raced roughly.
THE GREEK GENERAL – Had a tendency to hang out throughout various stages of the event. Post-race sample was taken.
SURF ACE – Had a tendency to over race during the early and middle stages of the event.
RACE 5 – PELMAN POWER PACE – 1609 metres
METALLICA MAN – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
QUADDIE VC NZ – Upon entering the first turn had a tendency to race roughly for a short distance.
JAY OK – Post-race sample was taken.
RACE 6 – COCA COLA PACE – 1609 metres
CONCILIATE – Post-race sample was taken.
BOBBY WALNUTS – Pre-race sample was taken.
LEAVE IT TO LUCY – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected. A warning was issued.
RACE 7 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 1609 metres
TACKAS PRINCESS – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn. Post-race sample was taken.
JUST ROCKNROLL – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.
WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Pre-race sample was taken.
DOUBLE LINES – Shifted out slightly negotiating the final turn and locked wheels with GUNFIGHTERSGHOST which also had a tendency to hang in.
GUNFIGHTERSGHOST – Hung in slightly and locked wheels with DOUBLE LINES negotiating the final turn which also had a tendency to shift out slightly.
ROCKINDOWNUNDER – Fractious in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued.
RACE 8 – BOOK A NEWY TROTS XMAS PARTY HRNSW GUARANTEED 2YO FILLIES PACE – 1609 metres
MUSICSTAR – Post-race sample was taken.
SEASIDE DRIVE – Pre-race sample was taken.
AGATHA BLOOM – Fractious in the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and the overall performance driver W Buckley reported to Stewards that after having to make some effort to catch the mobile barrier after being fractious, landed a forward position with cover and when entering the first turn the tempo in the event eased whereas a result his filly had a tendency to over race and elected to move three wide to the position outside of the leader. He further added that from that point his filly failed to travel genuinely throughout the event and it would be his intention to spell. Stewards noted his comments however advised W Buckley that in the opinion of the Stewards believed that he had erred by making a forward movement after the start after making use of his drive to catch the mobile barrier in addition to the circumstances surrounding him racing in a position outside of the leader.
RACE 9 – SKY RACING ACTIVE 3YO PACE – 1609 metres
HOWITIS – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.
LORD JAYDO – Pre-race sample was taken. Had a tendency to race ungenerously in the early stages of the event. A warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.
CARPENTER – Fractious in the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. A warning was issued.
MAC THUNDER – Post-race sample was taken.
