RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

BELLRIVERGIRL – Commenced to give ground racing down the back straight on the final occasion. Offside sulky contacted at the 500m when NOWORRIES, which was trailing, commenced to over race when being restrained. As a result, BELLRIVERGIRL carried a flat tyre for the remainder of the race.

GOODTIME MIKI – Post-race sample.

MYSTICAL SUNSHINE – Galloped clear of interference at the 1200m. In assessing the gelding’s previous racing history, connections were advised MYSTICAL SUNSHINE will be stood down for a period of 28 days and until the completion of four (4) satisfactory trials.

NOWORRIES – Inconvenienced racing towards the 500m when BELLRIVERGIRL was giving ground in advance. Over-raced and contacted the offside sulky tyre of BELLRIVERGIRL, despite the efforts of the driver, paced roughly momentarily as a result. Hung in under pressure over the concluding stages a warning was issued against the racing manners of the gelding.

MAC STUBBORN – Pre-race sample.

 

RACE 2 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES PACE – 2030 metres

NEED ME SOME SUGAR – Post-race sample.

SIYA NZ – Galloped clear of interference at the 500m and a warning was issued.

SLICK AND SUAVE – Over-raced during the early and middle stages.

DEPASSANT – Pre-race sample.

SCATTERSHOT – Inconvenienced racing into the back straight on the first occasion when the speed of the race decreased in the running line. Gave ground to be beaten 36m after obtaining a position outside of the leader at the 1300m.

 

RACE 3 – SHARP OFFICE 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed due to a gear alteration occurring on DIAMONDINTHEROUGH. The All Clear was delayed allowing Stewards the opportunity to view the start. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied that all runners received a fair start and All Clear was sounded on the judge’s numbers.

BIG BAD ANGUS – Out of position at the start and slow to leave the mobile barrier. Given that the gelding was having its first race start a warning was issued against the barrier manners of BIG BAD ANGUS.

LOCHINVAR TIGER – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight after leading.

MICKEYS RUN – Pre-race sample. Passed a pre-race veterinary examination. Post-race sample.

HIWAYTHREENINENINE – Inconvenienced after the start when trailing BIG BAD ANGUS which was slow to leave the mobile barrier.

RIFLE RANGE NZ – Paced roughly leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 4 – COCA COLA – 1609 metres

General – The start of this race was delayed due to Terang Thoroughbreds Race 5 running behind advertised schedule.

PARALLEL – Post-race sample.

HASLER – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

MACS TOMADO NZ – Inconvenienced behind BARRYS ROSE at the 500m when that runner commenced to weaken. Shifted out from a marker peg position at the 500m momentarily unbalancing Driver J Douglass in the sulky of BETTOR BE LUCKY. Driver J Callaghan was issued with a reprimand for causing interference Rule 163(1)(a).

POWERLINC – Over-raced during the early and middle stages. Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

BARRYS ROSE – Over-raced and paced roughly at the 1200m. Contacted marker pegs when giving ground between the 400m and 200m. Considering the racing manners of BARRYS ROSE the mare was placed on its last chance to race truly.

BETTOR BE LUCKY – Pre-race sample. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities. Driver J Douglass became momentarily unbalanced in the sulky at the 500m when MACS TOMADO NZ shifted out to the inside.

 

RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

DOUBLE LINES – Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

DANIEL BOOM – Pre-race sample. Trainer C Davies will be interviewed in relation to an unlicenced persons involvement in the presentation of this runner.

DEECEE ROCKIN – Post-race sample. Hung in leaving the back straight on the final occasion.

A VAPAR STORM – Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

GIMMEFIVEMINUTESMORE NZ – Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

 

RACE 6 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

TAMATINE TANE – Pre-race sample. Paced roughly throughout the event.

TRIED AND TRUSTED – It was reported that the colt cast an off-hind shoe rounding the final turn.

HIDDEN DELIGHT NZ – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 7 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

THOMAS ROYAL – Pre-race sample.

HOT CRUISE CONTROL – Post-race sample.

MISTER CHEESE – Over-raced in the early stages at the 1400m and raced up onto and contacted the rear of the sulky of OHWHATIWOULDGIVE, which was racing in advance. MISTER CHEESE paced roughly momentarily and checked WHEREISHE, which was trailing.

WHERISHE – Checked at the 1400m when MISTER CHEESE paced roughly in advance.

OHWHATIWOULDGIVE – Rear of the sulky contacted at the 1400m when MISTER CHEESE raced keenly, which was trailing.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

MCCRIKIEY NZ – Post-race sample. Paced roughly leaving the 1500m.

ROYAL GAMBLE NZ – Pre-race sample.

PEPPA BLISS – Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw.

BAT MATSON – Held up for clear racing room and unable to be fully tested in the run to the finish.

FAR OUT RINGO – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having started in a race since November 2024. Cleared of any abnormalities. Hung in and contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn.
