RACE 1 – GOLDEN BOYS STABLES PACE – 2040 metres

FOZZ – Post-race sample.

KRISTA BELLITA – Galloped after the start, checking ROCKET ME and inconveniencing YESNOLETSGO and JEWEL MISTRESS. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of KRISTA BELLITA.

MOTHER WAS A MUDDA – Unable to be fully tested for racing room close to the finish line.

SERGEANT STRINGER – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

ROCKET ME – Checked and galloped after the start when KRISTA BELLITA galloped. Gave ground to be beaten 43.8m.

YESNOLETSGO – Pre-race sample. Inconvenienced after the start when KRISTA BELLITA galloped.

JEWEL MISTRESS – Inconvenienced after the start when KRISTA BELLITA galloped.

 

RACE 2 – PARKES FARM CENTRE PACE – 1660 metres

TULHURST ELVIS – Inconvenienced behind RIVERINA FLASH, when that runner was being restrained racing around the first turn. As a result, TULHURST ELVIS raced in a three wide position for a short distance.  

VIOLET JAY – Post-race sample.

GLENN FORD NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Neither examination revealed any abnormalities.

BUTTER CUP – Pre-race sample. Galloped free of interference at the 300m and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – TOM YOUNG CONCRETING PACE – 2040 metres

LOUIS THE LEGEND – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

SHEZ A PUNTER – Galloped clear of interference at the 150m. In assessing the previous racing record of SHEZ A PUNTER the mare was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

FESTINALENTE – Contacted a marker peg racing into the first turn and shortly after galloped. A warning was issued against the racing manners of FESTINALENTE.

 

RACE 4 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB PACE – 1660 metres

CARBAGANOOSH – Driver E Dwyer was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a) for shifting ground outwards at the 400m. This movement momentarily inconvenienced the forward momentum of YA RACIN ARLO.

DANCE BABY DANCE – Gave ground to be beaten 35m.

TAIRLAW TOLL NZ – Post-race sample.

DUN SPRUIKIN – Contacted and dislodged a marker peg racing around the first turn.

BORROWED TIME – Held up for clear racing room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

BETTING RANGER – Pre-race sample. Held up in the run to the finish and unable to be fully tested at any stage.

YA RACIN ARLO – Inconvenienced at the 400m when CARBAGANOOSH was directed outwards into clear racing.

 

RACE 5 – CLARINDA PARK IT PACE – 1660 metres

ANDREW SWAGGER – Paced roughly in the vicinity of the 200m. Driver O Frisby was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a) for directing her drive outwards when insufficiently clear of RIP JACKSON at the 300m, resulting in that runner being momentarily inconvenienced.  

PLAYFUL MISS – Driver M Atkinson was spoken to advisedly and shown the replays of the event in relation to his driving vigour during the first lap. Of particular concern being the ease in which RIP JACKSON was allowed to occupy a position ahead of Mr Atkinson’s drive in the vicinity of the 1200m. In not taking the matter further or issuing formal action Stewards were mindful of the inexperience of Mr Atkinson.

BEACH ON FIRE – Disappointed for a run to the inside of CARIBBEAN PAT over the concluding stages.

RIP JACKSON – Inconvenienced at the 300m when ANDREW SWAGGER was shifted out when insufficiently clear.

REASON TO LAUGH – Post-race sample.

 

RACE 6 – WORKLOCKER PARKES PACE – 2040 metres

WEE BIT BETTOR – Hung in, contacted marker pegs and paced roughly at the 1800m. Hung in and galloped at the 1500m and then again paced roughly at various stages over the final lap. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. WEE BIT BETTOR was stood down until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

MERRYWOOD ROSIE – Pre-race sample. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages. Driver C Masotti was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b) for directing her drive out when insufficiently clear of AMERICAM at the 1300m, resulting in that runner being forced to race wide on the track for a short distance.  

CALM FRANCO – Post-race sample.

AMERICAM – Forced to race wide on the track for a short distance at the 1300m.

LAST FLITE – Inconvenienced at the 1500m when WEE BIT BETTOR galloped in advance.

 

RACE 7 – RADIO 2PK/ROK FM 2YO PACE – 1660 metres

AWICKED WOMAN – Checked at the 500m when STUDLEIGH TITANIUM galloped.

GLOOMY MIST – Pre-race sample. Post-race sample.

DIRECT TARGET – Initially inconvenienced at the 500m when STUDLEIGH TITANIUM galloped. Further checked when MARINE CREATURE was directed wider to avoid interference, this resulted in Driver P Betts being placed in restricted room in the sulky of DIRECT TARGET.

STUDLEIGH TITANIUM – Galloped free of interference at the 1300m and then again at the 500m. AWICKED WOMAN, DIRECT TARGET, WINDFIELD BLUE, MICKILLA TIGER and MARINE CREATURE were all checked. STUDLEIGH TITANIUM was stood down until the completion of two satisfactory trials and for a period of 14 days.

WINDFIELD BLUE – Checked at the 500m when STUDLEIGH TITANIUM galloped.

MICKILLA TIGER – Checked at the 500m when STUDLEIGH TITANIUM galloped.

MARINE CREATURE – Checked at the 500m when STUDLEIGH TITANIUM galloped.

 

RACE 8 – TAB.COM.AU PACE – 2040 metres

JILLIBY MOON – Galloped racing around the first turn, checking ASHANTE PRINCE and LIMBO LOTTIE, which both galloped. MAKES YOU WONDER and FLOYDY BOY were also checked. A warning was issued against the racing manners of JILLIBY MOON.

SHES NO HONEY – Contacted marker pegs rounding the final turn. Driver B Medlyn was fined $100 under Rule 163(1)(c)(i) for failing to prevent his drive from racing over marker pegs when under driving.

CAITRIONA – Post-race sample.

ASHANTE PRINCE – Checked and galloped rounding the first turn when JILLIBY MOON galloped.

LIMBO LOTTIE – Pre-race sample. Checked and galloped rounding the first turn when JILLIBY MOON galloped.

MAKES YOU WONDER – Checked rounding the first turn when JILLIBY MOON galloped.

ROCKIN SWEET – Galloped in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of ROCKIN SWEET.

FLOYDY BOY – Re-included back in the mobile barrier draw. Checked rounding the first turn when JILLIBY MOON galloped.
