RACE 1 – 2DU PACE – 2120 metres

JAYJAYBENNY – Raced roughly and broke gait entering the first turn. A warning was issued against the racing manners of JAYJAYBENNY

YOKON BE SERIOUS NZ – Pre-race swab. Driver George Lee was issued a reprimand for tightening entering the first turn. Post-race swab.

MAN MOUNTAIN – Checked passing the 500m when LAURIE DEE was yielding ground.

HALL CASH – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.

LAURIE DEE – ($11.00) Driver Anthony Varga was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 9th & last position beaten 61.4m after racing outside the leader from passing the 1500m. Mr Varga contributed the performance to the gelding having to endue more work than expected during the early stages of the event to obtain the position outside the leader which was the main factor in the gelding’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. LAURIE DEE will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one occasion.

RACE 2– HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1720 metres

General: The start of this event was delayed two (2) minutes when stewards approved a shadow roll to be fitted to MOVES LIKE MIKI which was jumping shadows in the preliminarily.

ALICE RHAYNE BOW – Slow out. Broke gait clear of interference passing the 500m. ALICE RHAYNE BOW will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

LA FEAST – Post-race swab.

TIGER TOOTH – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event.

MOVES LIKE MIKI – Jumped a shadow entering the back straight on the first occasion and broke a further two (2) times a short distance latter. MOVES LIKE MIKI will now be stood down from racing for a period of fourteen (14) days and trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on two (2) occasions.

ELLIE RIPPIN – Inconvenienced passing the 500m when ALICE RHAYNE BOW broke gait.

CELEBRITY CRUISE – Inconvenienced passing the 500m when ALICE RHAYNE BOW broke gait.

CERISE RAINBOW – Pre-race swab.

RACE 3 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1720 metres

KING BOBBY – Raced roughly momentarily shortly after the start was effected. Post-race swab.

GLENN FORD NZ – Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

RACE 4– THE SHIRE BAR & GRILL PACE – 1720 metres

HOLME BOY – Post-race swab.

JEREMY LOU – Driver Chris Shepheardson pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) the particulars of the charge shortly after the start Mr Shepheardson permitted JEREMY LOU to shift inwards when not sufficiently clear of DIAMOND BIKINI which had progress to its inside checking that runner which broke gait. In assessing penalty stewards took into account the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines Mr Shepheardson’s guilty plea & forthright evidence his overall offence record with his last offence April 2023 (177 drives). Mr Shepheardson’s licence was suspended for a period of twenty-one (21) days commencing midnight 26th December 2025.

STUDLEIGH STARLITE – Pre-race swab.

REASON TO LAUGH – ($10.00) Broke gait clear of interference rounding the first turn. A warning was issued against the REASON TO LAUGH racing manners. Driver Michael Day Jnr was queried into the tactics adopted upon the gelding after breaking gait and his decision to improving forward shortly afterwards and race outside the leader from the 1000m prior to finishing in 8th position beaten 20.4m. Mr Day advised REASON TO LAUGH lacks any high speed and is one paced and felt once regaining its gait REASON TO LAUGH improved onto the main body of the field he felt the speed of the event was slow at which point he would improve quickly to obtain the position outside the leader and was able to do so without exerting the gelding with the first half of the mile recorded in 62.8 seconds. Mr Day added REASON TO LAUGH maintained its ground until inside the final 100m when only beaten less than a meter between 4th to 8th position.

DIAMOND BIKINI – Checked and broke gait shortly after the start when JEREMY LOU shifted inwards.

RACE 5 – GERARD YEO MEMORIAL – 1720 metres

THE POSTMASTER– Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

HOPPALONGPOG – Hung inwards shortly after the start was effected. HOPPALONGPOG will now be placed on its last chance in the draw. HOPPALONGPOG hung inwards under pressure and veered in abruptly despite the driver’s efforts & broke gait checking CARBAGANOOSH. HOPPALONGPOG will now be stood down from racing until trialling the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

SCRUFFY MOTO – Inconvenienced passing the 200m when DIRECT COMMAND NZ broke gait. SCRUFFY MOTO broke gait clear of interference a short distance latter. A warning was issued against the mare’s racing manners.

CARBAGANOOSH – Checked and contacted marker pegs inside the final 100m when HOPPALONGPOG broke gait and veered inwards.

DIRECT COMMAND NZ– Contacted its own sulky and broke gait passing the 200m. DIRECT COMMAND NZ will now be placed on its last chance to race truly.

RACE 6 – LOCHEND STUD PACE – 1720 metres

SPRINGFIELD DESIRE – ($7.50) Driver Jason Turnbull was queried into the seemingly improved performance in winning compared to its most recent starts. Mr Turnbull advised SPRINGFIELD DESIRE was dropping in grade and was racing lesser opposition compared to its most recent starts and was further suited to the moderate overall mile rate of 2.01.1. Post-race swab.

PHANTOM STAR – ($5.00) Pre-race swab. Driver Justin Reynolds was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 10th and last position beaten 26m after racing outside the leader throughout the event. Mr Reynolds contributed the performance to PHANTOM STAR racing fiercely during the middle stages of the event in particular when MITTYS THREE ACES NZ improved to his outside passing the 1000m at which point his was satisfied to obtain a trail on that runner but due to the racing manners of PHANTOM STAR racing fiercely he was unable to restrain the gelding.

MITTYS THREE ACES NZ – Driver Claire Judd was reminded of her obligations when applying the whip to the gelding inside the final 200m.

RACE 7 – COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1720 metres

SOHO BETTY DEE – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

SHES DUNNA RUNNA – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of SHES DUNNA RUNNA.

STRAWBERRY FLAME – Locked wheels checked & broke gait when BODELETOS hung inwards shortly after the start was effected. 

BODELETOS – Hung inwards shortly after the start was effected and locked wheels with STRAWBERRY FLAME causing that runner to be checked break gait. BODELETOS will now be placed on its last chance in the draw.

GOT FORGOT THAT – Broke gait under pressure passing the 200m. A warning was issued against the racing manners of GOT FORGOT THAT.

RACE 8 – MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1720 metres

PEAKSART – ($2.90) Pre-race swab. Driver Jason Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 7th position beaten 19.8m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Turnbull advised the gelding was not suited to a combination of being urged forward at the start & racing without cover with the stronger windy conditions.

HALL MOST AN ANGEL – Post-race swab.

MOHAWK PARK – Broke gait during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position when the start was effected. MOHAWK PARK will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

OUR UNCLE HAROLD – Tired to finish in 9th and last position beaten 55.7m. OUR UNCLE HAROLD will now be placed on its last chance to race competitively.

RACE 9 – ALABAR STUD 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

General: The starter inadvertently activated the start button prior to quickly correcting to a false start when STUDLEIGH FURY had broken gait during the latter stages of the score up checking runners on the second row. No runners progressed passed the mobile barrier arms when retracting.

STUDLEIGH FURY – Broke gait during the latter stages of the score up at the first attempt checking runners on the second row and a false start being declared. STUDLEIGH FURY will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. Broke gait clear of interference passing the 1300m checking multiple runners to varying degrees. STUDLEIGH FURY will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

MICKILLATIGER – Pre-race swab.

WINDFIELD BLUE – Checked passing the 1300m when STUDLEIGH FURY broke gait.

BILLS SWAN SONG – Checked passing the 1300m when STUDLEIGH FURY broke gait.

OLD FARMER BILL – Yielded ground rapidly from the 600m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 129m. OLD FARMER BILL will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

COHEN THE RED – Trainer Mat Rue was fined the sum $50 under AHR Rule 268A(1) for presenting the gelding in gear which was not correctly declared. Post-race swab.

BETHS FURY – Inconvenienced passing the 1300m when STUDLEIGH FURY broke gait.

ROCK TOGETHER – Inconvenienced passing the 1300m when STUDLEIGH FURY broke gait. Tired to finish in 9th position beaten 92.4m. ROCK TOGETHER will now be placed on its last chance to race competitively. In not taking further action stewards were mindful of the interference the gelding suffered and the 40m margin between first & second position.

ALWAYS LATHER – Out of position when the start was effected at the second attempt. ALWAYS LATHER will continue to be drawn wide in future mobile events.
