RACE 1 – MILBRAE QUARRIES HEAT ONE – 2147 metres

MIKI LOCH – Pre-race blood sample. Tightened approaching the first turn as a result of MURPHYS REWARD NZ and ALWAYS EXCLUSIF both hanging in. Shifted out under pressure.

MURPHYS REWARD NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Hung in approaching the first turn placing MIKI LOCH into restricted room. Trainer/Driver Rodney Coelli was questioned in regard to the seemingly improved performance of MURPHYS REWARD NZ. Mr Coelli explained it was the first run for his stable and the horse had worked and trialled well leading into the event and he was confident of a forward showing.

ALWAYS EXCLUSIF – Hung in on the first turn placing both MURPHYS REWARD NZ and MIKI LOCH into restricted room.

SMOKIN POCKET – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 54.1 metres.

MOP NZ – Obtained a run to the inside of MIKI LOCH when that gelding shifted out under pressure. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – MILBRAE QUARRIES HEAT TWO – 2147 metres

FLYING COLOURS NZ – Post-race swab sample.

MARY MOURNE NZ – Raced roughly rounding the first turn. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 76.7 metres. In view of the overall performance of the mare, MARY MOURNE NZ will be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

LOTUSBIRD – Pre-race blood sample.

RENROW BOY – Hung out in the early stages of the event for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – MILBRAE QUARRIES HEAT THREE – 2147 metres

LE BETTY – Pre-race blood sample.

BONDI LASS – Tired over the concluding stages after racing outside the leader to be beaten 55.2 metres.

OH SWEET CREATURE – Driver Harrison Ross was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(b)(i) for shifting wider, momentarily forcing SPIRIT OF SAHARA wider before the push out pole. Post-race swab sample.

MASTER GOUDA – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before finding clear running passing the 100 metres.

SPIRIT OF SAHARA – Inconvenienced passing the 700 metres as a result of OH SWEET CREATURE shifting wider on the track momentarily forcing the colt wider. Driver Ryan Sanderson was questioned in regard to the overall performance of the colt after failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 35.5 metres. Mr Sanderson explained SPIRIT OF SAHARA didn’t handle the track and was disappointed in the overall performance of the colt.

WATERMAIN LADY – Driver Blake Jones was questioned in regard to the performance of the filly. Mr Jones explained that when commencing to make his run he was forced to sustain a run wide on the track and the filly didn’t handle racing wider. At the request of connections WATERMAIN LADY will be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – GOLDEN APPLE SUPERSTORE HEAT ONE – 2147 metres

STARS ABROAD – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 92.8 metres. As a result of the overall performance of the gelding, STARS ABROAD will be required to perform one requalifying trial.

ONTHADARKSIDE – Post-race swab sample.

JUMBO JIM – Pre-race blood sample. Over raced when racing outside the leader in the middle stages of the event.

IM HARVEY SPECTRE NZ – Out of position at the start for which no action was taken due to the speed of the mobile.

CRIMSON ROCK NZ – Approaching the 1800 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. In view of the overall record of the mare, CRIMSON ROCK NZ will now be required to perform one requalifying trial.

CEE WHOS BETTOR NZ – Raced roughly after the start for which a warning was issued.

CANT HEAR YOU – Out of position at the start and no action was taken due to the speed of the mobile.

 

RACE 5 – SOUTHERN CENTRAL ENGINEERING BREEDERS PLATE (LISTED CLASSIC) – 1758 metres

IM NO TROUBLE – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MY IDEAL DREAM – Driver Reece Maguire plead guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that passing the 1400 metres he has allowed MY IDEAL DREAM to shift down the track when not sufficiently clear of UPTOWN CHANCE causing that runner to be checked and break gait. Driver Reece Maguire has his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 14 days to commence midnight 1 January 2026. In assessing penalty Stewards considered Mr Maguires plea, record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident.

GO EASY ON ME – Pre-race blood sample.

UPTOWN CHANCE – Checked and broke as a result of MY IDEAL DREAM shifting down the track.

 

RACE 6 – WOODS FAMILY LOCAL PACE – 1758 metres

JAY CEE MAXWELL – Pre-race blood sample. Broke after the start and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Driver Blake Jones was questioned in regard to the overall performance of the gelding and the driving tactics adopted by himself. Mr Jones explained after JAY CEE MAXWELL broke gait after the start he didn’t loose ground and was still racing in the position four back the fence before being able to get off the fence and make a move three wide, as the work and trial of the gelding had been good leading into the event and the stable was confident of a forward showing, however Mr Jones felt the gelding was quite disappointing and as a result advised JAY CEE MAXWELL would be sent for a spell. In view of the overall performance of the gelding, JAY CEE MAXWELL will be required to perform one requalifying trial and was also stood down for a period of 28 days.

ROCKIN REMY – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as the filly hadn’t started for in excess of 12 months. Checked rounding the first turn as a result of JAY CEE MAXWELL breaking gait.

KALIMBA - Rounding the first turn Inconvenienced as a result of JAY CEE MAXWELL breaking gait. Driver Bill Trembath reported post-race the gelding had sustained a flat offside tyre around the 300 metres.

HARJAYBRO – Post-race swab sample.

BAYRIDGE TOMMY – Rounding the first turn Inconvenienced as a result of JAY CEE MAXWELL breaking gait.

MAGGIE BUTTERFLY – Rounding the first turn was checked and broke as a result of JAY CEE MAXWELL breaking gait.

JOLTED LOVER - Rounding the first turn was checked and broke as a result of JAY CEE MAXWELL breaking gait.

 

RACE 7 – GOLDEN APPLE SUPERSTORE HEAT TWO – 2147 metres

FIFTYSHADESOFHAY NZ – Post-race swab sample.

BLUES TERROR – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

SHES GOT A REASON – Pre-race blood sample.

MAJOR HUSS - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

SAVOY BALLROOM – At the request of connections SAVOY BALLROOM was reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 8 – GOLDEN APPLE SUPERSTORE HEAT THREE – 2147 metres

KYLEIGH – Post-race swab sample.

SECURITY CHECK – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 69.5 metres. For which a warning was issued.

KRISTYSGIRL – Pre-race blood sample.

HES A TERROR - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

ORAMA – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 136.6 metres. In view of the mares overall performance, ORAMA will be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

MARLO MAREAU – Tended to over race throughout the event.

 

RACE 9 – GOLDEN APPLE SUPERSTORE HEAT FOUR – 2147 metres

MILLIE FRANCIS NZ – Post-race swab sample.

STARSHINE LADY – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 67.3 metres.

CENTREFIRE – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 88.7 metres. In view of the overall performance of the gelding, CENTREFIRE will be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD NZ – Raced roughly rounding the first turn. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 48.1 metres.

BACKPADDOCKJACK – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued. Became unbalanced and broke gait approaching the 700 metres for which a warning was issued.

ARENDELLE – Pre-race blood sample.
