RACE 1 – TAB TROTTERS STANDING START HANDICAP – 2300 metres

TUMULT – Driver S Pearce was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the first turn he has allowed TUMULT to shift down the track whilst having LAST CLANSMAN racing to its inside resulting in that runner being placed in restricted room for some distance.  Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 1900 metres and galloped excessively for which the mare was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.  The mare was retired from the event passing the 600 metres.

LAST CLANSMAN – Placed in restricted room entering the first turn when TUMULT was shifted down the track without the required clearance.

MOTY MONTE – Over raced when positioned outside of the leader and worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres.

IVANKA NZ – Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 1900 metres for which a warning was issued.

GUNNER – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

YOUR MAJESTY – Pre-race blood sample.  Shifted in under pressure over the final 150 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

FIVE OCLOCK GERRY NZ – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare himself as the driver as the prescribed time.

 

RACE 2 – BE HAPPY MACH @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

SAPPHIRENDIAMONDS – Hung out passing the 400 metres and contacted the sulky wheel of SASSY MIA which was racing to its outside for which a warning was issued. 

HESAA LISTER – Pre-race blood sample.

WHAT FOR – Post-race swab sample.

SASSY MIA – Had its near side sulky wheel contacted passing the 400 metres by SAPPHIRENDIAMONDS when that runner hung out to its inside resulting in SASSY MIA carrying a flat tyre from that point.

SIR KNIGHT – Hampered passing the 400 metres when being steadied away from SASSY MIA which was hanging out forward of that runner.

 

RACE 3 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609 metres

STELLAR STRIDE – Pre-race blood sample.  Hung in and contacted a number or marker pegs rounding the final turn.  Driver R Alchin explained to Stewards following the event that he was satisfied with the way the mare performed in today’s event and noted the significant rise in class to its most recent run when successful at Goulburn on 22 December 2025.

WAHAKA – Post-race swab sample.

TOOLIJOOA BEACH – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having not competed in the previous 12 months.  No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 4 – PRYDE’S EASIFEED PACE – 1609 metres

AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.  The gelding took no competitive part in the event.

WILLS WAY – Worked forward to obtain the lead approaching the 1200 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

THERES WALLY – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight. 

MISTER JONES NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

ELLY LOU – Hung in whilst under pressure passing the 300 metres and as a result HOMEBOUND was hampered momentarily when that runner was racing to its inside. 

HOMEBOUND – Hampered passing the 300 metres when being steadied away from ELLY LOU which had hung in under pressure to its outside. 

REFUSAL – Hung in after the start for a short distance.

SKY BLUE – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION PACE – 1609 metres

LARRIKIN LENNY – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

CLASSICMAJOR – Post-race swab sample.

HALLOWEEN – Stewards questioned driver J Gallagher in relation to the tactics adopted and the performance of the gelding.  Mr Gallagher explained that when able to lead during the early stages he was satisfied to allow MICTON MOUSE to progress forward of that runner and noted that was challenged from the 1200 metres up until the 1000 metres however MICTON MOUSE was unable to muster the required speed to cross HALLOWEEN and as a result HALLOWEEN was then required to race in the leading position.  Mr Gallagher added that considering the early tempo of the event he was satisfied with the way the gelding finished the race off.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

PARALLEL – Pre-race blood sample.  Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

A VAPAR STORM – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – HYLAND SPORTSWEAR PACE – 1609 metres

BRAVO STRIDE – Post-race swab sample.

RUDY GEE – Pre-race blood sample. 

PETES BIG JIM – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.
