RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

JUNIOR WARFARE – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

ULTRA BLISS – Pre-race blood sample.

SPIRIT KING – Post-race swab sample.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 2 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

BARRYS ROSE – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and checked the running of SWEETLY SPOKEN resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was issued.

JACQUELINE ROSE NZ – Momentarily tightened for racing room as the field negotiated the first turn. Driver K Bigeni was cautioned in relation to the manner in which he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

CHEVRON FLIES NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Driver S Grima was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when obtaining a position on the marker pegs rounding the first turn restricted the racing room of JACQUELINE ROSE NZ. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – SHARP OFFICE PACE – 2030 metres

TWO TICKS NZ – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

PROTAGONIST – Post-race swab sample.

THE CID – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the event whilst engaged in a jostle with CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ (B Hughes).

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 4 – REMEMBERING OUR MATE NATHAN FLAHERTY PACE – 2030 metres

LIGHT ME UP NZ – Had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages. Post-race swab sample.

LULLABY NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

PRINCESS MICKAYLA – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn.

AMERICAN HAMMER NZ – Had a tendency to over race during the early and middle stages of the event.

HAY THERE JOE – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 2030 metres

DANCE WITH CARMER – Post-race swab sample.

FAZE OF GLORY NZ – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. a post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormality. Connections were advised a warning would be placed against the performance.

SAINT CRUSADER – Pre-race blood sample.

PETES SAID SO NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 6 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

GRUMPYSHANNON – Shortly after entering the home straight when full pressure was applied, GRUMPYSHANNON had a tendency to shift up the track which checked the running of MIKI MOO. Continued to hang out and shift up the track over the final 50 metres. A warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.

MIKI MOO – Pre-race blood sample. Checked upon entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

 

RACE 7 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 2030 metres

ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – As the field entered the first turn was momentarily restricted for racing room when racing to the inside of QUICKSHIFT GIRL (B Elder) which had a tendency to hang in. Shortly thereafter, BREXITT (A Garaty) closed down the track filling that room whereas a result ULTIMATE RHAPSODY took leap of a marker peg then broke stride. Shortly thereafter ULTIMATE RHAPSODY shifted up the track slightly with QUICKSHIFT GIRL being shifted wider and shortly after as a result was checked and broke stride when contacting the near side wheel of BREXITT. Stewards noted the incident and could not lay blame against any one driver or horse and advised drivers to take care in similar circumstances when establishing positions in particular when going to the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination of ULTIMATE RHAPSODY did not reveal any abnormality.

CHLOBRO – Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn.

BREXITT – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

PENURIOUS – Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP 2YO PACE – 1609 metres
