RACE 1 – MAWSONS CONCRETE & QUARRIES PACE – 1760 metres

THATS THE ATTITUDE – ($10.00) Pre-race swab Driver Peter McRae was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the gelding compared to its most recent starts. Mr McRae contributed the performance to the gelding dropping in grade and racing lesser opposition compared to recent starts & was confident of a forward performance after obtaining an economical run throughout the event in trailing the leader and only having to improve passing the 200m.  Post-race swab.

JOHNNYS BLUE – Held up during the early stages of the event prior obtaining clear running.

CLASSIC ARC – ($2.50 Fav) Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Driver Jett Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 6th position beaten 9.7m after improving to race outside the leader from the 850m. Mr Turnbull advised the gelding to be disappointing and felt the gelding failed to race in a genuine manner.

GEORGES WORLD – Raced roughly entering the first turn. Hung inwards and raced roughly passing the 400m.

HOLME BOY – Trainer Nathan Townsend was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 210 for the declaration of the driver upon the gelding.

RACE 2– JUNEE PRIME LAMB PACE – 1760 metres

General: Stewards intend to review all wagering on this event.

STIPULATING – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 1500m checking multiple runners to varying degrees. A warning was issued against the racing manners of STIPULATING.

EMIKO – Checked passing the 1500m when STIPULATING broke gait.

MAGIC MATTEO – ($2.80) Trainer Mat Rue was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the gelding compared to recent starts. Mr Rue advised the gelding had been working and trialled well at Bathurst in quick time and was confident of a forward performance. Mr Rue added the gelding was well graded and racing lesser opposition. Driver Mat Rue was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip to the gelding with more than a wrist flicking action and with overt force. Mr Rue was spoken to the manner he positioned his right foot in the sulky rest in the home straight. Post-race swab.

BIDGEE BABE – Pre-race swab. Inconvenienced passing the 1500m when STIPULATING broke gait. Inconvenienced passing the 1300m when HAITCH VEE TEE raced roughly. Broke gait clear of interference passing the 500m. A warning was issued against the mares racing manners.

HAITCH VEE TEE – Inconvenienced passing the 1500m when STIPULATING broke gait. Raced roughly passing the 1300m.

SOPHIES SCOOTER – Inconvenienced passing the 1500m when STIPULATING broke gait.

THROWDOWN HOEDOWN Inconvenienced passing the 1500m when STIPULATING broke gait. Yielded ground from the 500m to finish in 9th position beaten 65.9m.

RACE 3 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1760 metres

General: Stewards intend to review all wagering on this event.

KRISTYSGIRL – Held up during the early & middle stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.

ONLINE MODEL – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

LITTLE MIRACLES – Pre-race swab. Broke gait entering the first turn. LITTLE MIRACLES will now be stood down from racing until trialling the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. In taking this action in accordance with HRNSW Horse Breaking Gait Guidelines Stewards were mindful LITTLE MIRACLES was having its first official race start.

BUTTER CUP – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up and was significantly out of position when the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of BUTTER CUP. Took no competitive part in the event.

BETTES BLUE VIOLET – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

ELLENS DELIGHT Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

RACE 4– NUTRIEN EQUINE BATHURST SALE 22ND MARCH PACE – 1760 metres

OFFICIAL VIEW – Held up during the early stages of the event prior to obtaining clear running.

ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Pre-race swab.

MAGGIE MOTH – Driver Michael Hardy was fined the sum of $200 for applying the whip to the mare with more than a wrist flicking action and overt force in the home straight.

KALKADOON DREAMING – Post-race swab.

POTTER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

RACE 5 – JMA LEGAL PACE – 2170 metres

General: This event was advertised in some publishments as the distance of 2270m which was incorrect with the distance corrected to 2170m. This information was made public.

WHYIMAN – ($6.00) Trainer/Driver Mitch Turnbull was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 8th position beaten 29.2m after leading. Mr Turnbull advised the gelding to disappointing and could offer no tangible explanation for the performance of the gelding. Mr Turnbull advised he would look to increase the gelding’s workload going forward. A post-race veterinary examination revealed WHYIMAN to have a delayed recovery.

TAIRLAW TOLL NZ – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

TIME TO TORQUE – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event. Post-race swab.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Pre-race swab.

IM ALRITE – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 500m & 300m. IM ALRITE will now be stood down from racing until trialling the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

HELLO I TEA – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event. Inconvenienced passing the 500m when IM ALRITE broke gait.

ONTHADARKSIDE – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event.

RACE 6 – RIVERINA LIVESTOCK AGENTS PACE – 1760 metres

LETSGO MATILDA – Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event.

RONZEL SONNY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

LOVELY LILY – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining clear running.

BACKPADDOCKJACK – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 600m. A warning was issued against the gelding racing manners.

I LIKA STYLE – Driver Todd Day was spoken to in the manner he applied the whip in the home straight.

DEAD EYE TIKI – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up. DEAD EYE TIKI will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events. Broke gait passing the 1300m and again inside the final 100m. DEAD EYE TIKI will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 

RACE 7 – JUNEE CO-OPERATIVE IGA PACE – 1760 metres

General: A false start was declared at the first attempt when SPEARHEAD jibbed in the score & swung in the wrong direction checking multiple runners. A false start was declared at the second attempt when SPEARHEAD jibbed again and swung in the wrong direction checking multiple runners. SPEARHEAD was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 9:29pm acting under AHR 141(4) for causing two (2) false starts. This event was subsequently shown on Sky Racing 2.

KNIGHT JUJON – Raced roughly throughout the event and yielded ground prior to breaking gait passing the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a delayed recovery. KNIGHT JUJON will now be stood down from racing until trialling the satisfaction of stewards on four (4) occasions and for a period of twenty-eight (28) days.In taking this action Stewards were mindful of the gelding's poor racing history in being stood down at its two most recent starts.Trainer Justin Field advised it will now his intentions to retire KNIGHT JUJON from racing.

SPEARHEAD – Pre-race swab. Caused two (2) false starts. Declared a late scratching at 9:29pm Order of Stewards. SPEARHEAD will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events & stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

ALL SO SASSY – Post-race swab.

COMPLICATED Began badly as the start was effected. COMPLICATED will continue to drawn wide in future mobile starts.

RACE 8 – JUDDS HORSE SUPPLIES PACE – 1760 metres

General: Stewards intend to review all wagering on this event.

JUNGLE SHARK – Hung outwards under pressure inside the final 150m.

NOTTADOUBT – Checked and taken back through the field when ELLAVA PACER was giving ground. Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

GOODTIME JAZZI – ($6.00) Pre-race swab. Trainer Jason Turner was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the mare compared to its most recent starts & the mare being supported on fixed odds. Mr Turner advised the mare was dropping back in ratings and had performed best when winning when racing in this grade and was suited to the even sectional throughout the event. Mr Turner could not explain the fixed price support for the mare as he had not personally supported the horse and was unaware of the owner supporting GOODTIME JAZZI. Post-race swab.

SURFIN AT MIDNIGHT – Checked and taken back through the field when ELLAVA PACER was giving ground. Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining clear running.

RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1760 metres

BLUES TERROR – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Post-race swab.

GLAMORS SYMBOL – ($4.00 Fav) Pre-race swab. Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Driver Jared Kahlefeldt was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last position beaten 42.6m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Kahlefeldt advised GLAMORS SYMBOL to be extremely disappointing and could offer no tangible explanation other than the mare may not have backed up from its most recent start seven (7) days prior.

LIFE GETS BETTER – Inconvenienced passing the 400m when GLAMORS SYMBOL was giving ground.

NO MORE PROMISES – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior to obtaining clear running.

LORD PERCY ($12.00) Pre-race swab. Driver Jack Stockton was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 9th position beaten 39.3m. Mr Stockton advised LORD PERCY to be extremely disappointing and could offer no explanation other than the gelding may be better suited wearing hopples going forward which Trainer Robert Garrett advised it would be his intentions to race the gelding wearing hopples going forward. Mr Garett was advised LORD PERCY would be stood down for period of seven (7) days & required to trial to the steward’s satisfaction on one (1) occasion now that the gelding would be converting back to wearing hopples going forward under HRNSW Policy.
