RACE 1 – SKY ACTIVE WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres

MISTER BRILLANTE – Sustained contact to the off side wheel upon entering the home straight for the run to the finish which resulted in a puncture.

MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC – Pre-race sample was taken.

ROCKNROLL CLARRY – tended to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

ROCKIN BULL – Post-race sample was taken.

ROCKNROLL TONY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE – Driver R Morris was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when negotiating the final turn when manoeuvring wider contacted the off side wheel of MISTER BRILLANTE which resulted in a puncture.  In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of movement from the inside up the track at that stage.

 

RACE 2 – SKYFALL STANDARDBREDS PACE – 2030 metres

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

ILLAWONG DANNY – Post-race sample was taken.

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 3 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES PACE – 2030 metres

LOUS DREAM NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

OUR IDEAL DREAM NZ – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame in the off side fore leg.  Acting on veterinary advice was stood down from racing for a period of seven days and until the receipt of a veterinary certificate of fitness.

THE TAX CULLECTOR – Broke stride entering the back straight on the first occasion.  A warning was issued.  Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

THE CREEK – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 4 – PSC INSURANCE PACE – 1609 metres

AMERICAN HAMMER NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

ALTA MAGICIAN NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

MAJOR REASON – Pre-race sample was taken.

OUR UNCLE JIM – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

FAZE OF GLORY NZ – tended to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

 

RACE 5 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres

GRACE SHANNON – When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hughes explained that was racing up in grade tonight but was not completely satisfied with the performance and given the run afforded expected more of a forward showing.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

KASBAH – Pre-race sample was taken. 

QUICKSHIFT GIRL – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – HUNTER SIGNS PACE – 1609 metres

ESPERANZA – Pre-race sample was taken.

JIMMY STEEL NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

PEPPI GRATZ – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

IM A LIBERTY GIRL – Pre-race sample was taken.  Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.

TWO CRACKED CORN – Had a tendency to hang in throughout various stages of the event.  Hampered shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

NOWORRIES – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. 

LADY DELORIS – Had a tendency to hang in when negotiating the final turn and reacted to its driver’s urgings prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish and shifted wider on the track.

D J ROCK NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

PENURIOUS – Driver K Brooks was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when manoeuvring wider leaving the home turn for the run to the finish hampered the running of TWO CRACKED CORN.

 

RACE 8 – SOMERSET MEATS 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

BUCKAROO SHANNON – Unable to gain clear running over the concluding stages.

PLAYBOY ROCKY – Post-race sample was taken.

BETTORELEMENTS – Pre-race sample was taken.

HARMS LULLABY – Upon request from connections approval was given it to be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Had a tendency to hang out throughout the running of the event.

DOUBLE LINES – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

DANIEL BOOM – Broke stride upon entering the home straight when three wide on the first occasion.  A warning was issued.

NEXT TO ME NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Hampered coming into the home straight on the first occasion.

BRING YOUR BEST – Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.

DEECEE ROCKIN – Post-race sample was taken.
