RACE 1 – FOR A REASON STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres
DARIN NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride during the middle stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
FORCE FULL – Pre-race blood sample.
WHERES THE GOLD NZ – Stewards questioned driver Jett Turnbull with regards to the performance of the gelding which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in nineth position beaten 27 metres. Mr Turnbull advised Stewards that the gelding failed to show enough speed to cross MONTALBANO and as a result was forced to race outside the leader throughout. Mr Turnbull further added that whilst disappointed with the performance it was not the preferred spot for the gelding to race. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Turnbull, Stewards determined to note his comments.

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres
ALTA WILLIAM – Held up over the final 200 metres of the event.
CAPTAIN BELLASARIO – Post-race swab sample.
MIKI PINS NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
BAINBRIDGE – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 3 – ULTRA AIR PACE (HEAT 1) – 1609 metres
LENNETH – Post-race swab sample.
RED REACTOR NZ – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
RAGING WHITEBAIT NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
PERFECT STRANGER NZ – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. Post-race swab sample.
QUIET STORM – Pre-race blood sample.
HEEZA MALTEEZA – Improved three wide from the 1050 metres until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 850 metres.
MIKI COHEN NZ – Back in the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 4 – PRON8SURE PROBIOTICS PACE (HEAT 2) – 1609 metres
ALFNALMA – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
MCWIZARD – Post-race swab sample.
CATCHAFIRE NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Stewards questioned driver Cameron Hart with regards to the performance of the gelding which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in fifth placing beaten 8 metres as the short-priced favourite. Mr Hart advised Stewards that in his opinion the gelding was a touch disappointing however never felt comfortable throughout the running of the event. Mr Hart further advised that trainer Jason Grimson would look to make some minor changes with the gelding’s gear before its next start. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Hart, Stewards determined to note his comments.
KING TIGER – Broke stride during the early stages of the score up. After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.
COLOSSAL HOPE – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.
VINKE B NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
MICHAYWEY – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 5 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE (HEAT 3) – 1609 metres
MIKI B NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Stewards questioned driver Will Rixon with regards to the performance of the gelding which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in seventh placing beaten 11 metres as the short-priced favourite. Mr Rixon advised Stewards that the stable were confident of a winning performance this evening however felt the gelding performed terribly. Mr Rixon further added that in his opinion the gelding travelled well through the early and middle stages of the event however failed to pick up the bridle when the tempo of the event increased passing the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. After considering the explanation provided by Mr Rixon, Stewards determined to note his comments.

RACE 6 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION PACE (HEAT 4) – 1609 metres
DOUGS FLAME – Pre-race blood sample.
MR TEDDY NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
MAJOR ART NZ – Post-race swab sample.
OHOKA COBRA NZ – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.
DANCE WITH CARMER – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres. Hung out under pressure upon entry to the home straight. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – TINTIN IN AMERICA @ WINGATE FARM LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres
MULLUM RUBY – Gave ground over the concluding stages.
CRUNCHIE DIVA – Gave ground over the concluding stages.
PLAYA BLANCA – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Ashleigh Delosa as the driver of the mare. Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the mare had competed at Penrith the previous evening. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Driver Ashleigh Delosa reported to Stewards at the completion of the event that she retired the gelding passing the 2300 metres as a result of the number two carrying strap on the near side becoming detached and tangling around the horse’s leg.
MADRIGAL NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres.
FARFALLA STRIDE – Post-race swab sample.
CERISE RAINBOW – Caught racing wide in the early and middle stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 900 metres. Post-race swab sample.
HARLEEQUIN – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 8 – LIVAMOL TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
I AM HELLBOUND – Post-race swab sample.
MALIBUU – Galloped out. After considering the recent record of the mare a warning was issued.
VIRGINIA CLOWERS NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride free of interference passing the 1100 metres. After considering the recent record of the mare, it was stood down for a period of 10 days and the completion of two requalifying trials.
JUNGLE EYES – Pre-race blood sample. Hung in between the 600 metres and the 400 metres.
SUNNY GEE – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
