PHANTOM STAR – When entering the first turn had a tendency to hang in despite the efforts of its driver tightening the racing room of CALM FRANCO.
TERRAGONG SWINGER – Driver M Atkinson stated the gelding may not have backed up from racing at Parkes on Friday night and racing outside the lead contributed to the gelding tiring over the final 600 metres to finish in ninth position beaten 58.5 metres. The gelding will be required to requalify on one occasion.
WHATABOUTBRONSON – Pre-race blood.
RACE 7 – FORBES RSL SUBBRANCH LES FINDLEY MEMORIAL – 2060 metres

THE WICKED WOMAN – Pre-race blood.
BIG GIRL ROSIE – Tired over the final 700 metres to finish in tenth and last position beaten 93 metres. Connections were advised the filly will be required to requalify on one occasion prior to racing.
SMOOTH JESSIE – Raced roughly after the start, a warning was issued. Approaching the 800 metres shifted down the track to attempt to obtain a position in the running line where there was insufficient room. Driver I Ross was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) Furthermore, Miss Ross was questioned on the overall tactics of the filly when attempting to work forward in the early stages was unable to obtain a position in the running line and as a result raced three wide for the majority of the event until tiring over the final 300 metres to be beaten 60 metres. Miss Ross stated when IN LEXYS WORDS worked forward three wide from the 1600 metres she was of the opinion that that horse may hand up the position outside the lead and as a result worked forward three wide, when attempting to obtain the position outside the leader IN LEXYS WORDS improved to hold that position. Considering the mare was travelling easy and with 900 metres to go it would have been detrimental to her chances to restrain at that stage. After considering Miss Ross’s evidence and viewing the available footage no further action was taken other than to advise Miss Ross to show greater judgement in future drives.
STUDLEIGH FURY – Driver J Davis was issued a reprimand under rule 168(1)(a) in that when leaving the 400 metres attempted a run between TAKE ME TOO and MAMMALS JEWEL where there was insufficient room and as a result his runner was tightened for racing room.

MISTER CHEESE – Pre-race blood. Trainer/driver T Ison was queried on the gelding’s overall performance after leading the event failed to run on to finish in sixth position beaten 11 metres. He stated when approaching the 1200 metres the gelding was under pressure and tended to hang in and in doing so dropped the bit and when being passed by MEMPHIS FURY the gelding then picked the bit up again to finish the race off in a reasonable manner. His comments were noted.
MEMPHIS FURY – Post-race sample.
FORESIGHT – Hung out in the latter stages of the score up before breaking stride shifting out abruptly making heavy contact to HAZZA IS WATCHING. A warning was placed on the mare’s barrier manners.
HAZZA IS WATCHING – Prior to the all-clear being declared Stewards obtained evidence from trainer J Turnbull and driver E Turnbull and viewed the available race day footage in regard to HAZZA IS WATCHING breaking stride due to FORESIGHT shifting out and making heavy contact at that runner prior to the start. After viewing the footage Stewards believed HAZZA IS WATCHING had sustained heavy contact from FORESIGHT resulting in the gelding breaking stride prior to the start being affected and as a result was declared a late scratching under rule 15(t) being denied a fair start.
DIVINE GIRL – Inconvenienced in the latter stages of the score up when HAZZA IS WATCHING had been checked and broke stride.
