RACE 1 – MOOREHEAD CRANES THE FRIENDLY CRANE COMPANY PACE – 2260 metres

ARTISTIC SCOTT – Post-race sample.

ONTHADARKSIDE – Galloped out as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Driver E Dwyer was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when leaving the 400 metres when shifting her runner wider has tightened the racing room of THE ROGUE I AM who was inconvenienced.  Held up for clear racing room until the 150 metres.

THE ROGUE I AM – Leaving the 400 metres was inconvenienced when ONTHADARKSIDE was shifting wider and as a result has been taken up the track and inconvenienced HELLO I TEA.

HELLO I TEA – Leaving the 400 metres was inconvenienced when THE ROGUE I AM was shifted up the track.

PAS DE CHEVAL – Pre-race blood.

 RACE 2 – HORSE QUEENED FROM MUD-CAKED TO MAJESTIC PACE – 1730 metres

ALTA DOWNS – Post-race sample.

SECURITY CHECK – Tired over the final 500 metres to finish in ninth position beaten 58.2 metres.  A warning was issued.

REVEILLE JET – Pre-race blood. 

MAJOR JEWEL – On arrival, a veterinary examination revealed the mare to be unsuitable for racing and declared a late scratching at 5.22pm.  Connections were advised that mare would be stood down for a period of 10 days and must also submit a veterinary clearance prior to racing.

LOYOLA SPIAGGIA – Pre-race blood.  

VALDEZZZ – Driver A Turnbull was queried on the mare’s below market expectation performance when failing to run on over the final 300 metres to finish in eighth position beaten 39.4 metres.  Ms Turnbull stated she was disappointed in the overall performance with the stable believing the mare to be more suitable racing in the easier grade on the half mile tracks.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 RACE 3 – ALABAR FARMS A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE PACE – 1730 metres

OBADIAH DRAGON NZ – Driver C Griffiths was queried on the below market performance where the gelding failed to run on to finish in eighth position beaten 17.4 metres.  He stated with the tempo increasing in the third quarter when placed under pressure the gelding failed to respond and was disappointed in the overall performance.

NICELY SPOKEN – Post-race sample.

SKYS LEGACY NZ – Pre-race blood. 

MOS LONDON – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the gelding had not raced since May 2024.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 RACE 4 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

LADY OF HOPE – Pre-race blood.  Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  The mare will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

LUCKY PUNT – Held up for clear racing room until the final 200 metres. 

LOVE A BELLE – Post-race sample.

 RACE 5 – RAGING BULL AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 2260 metres

HUNTER SHANNON – Driver T Bullock was questioned on the reason for surrendering the lead in the early stages without any resistance, when at its previous start at Bathurst on 15 April 2026 when questioned his tactics in regard to holding the lead when,  Mr Bullock gave evidence in regards to holding the lead on that occasion which included  it was the intention to continue to drive the gelding in a positive manner and hold the lead where circumstances permit in future. In tonight’s event Mr Bullock stated when VITE MONET improved to his outside at the 1800 metres he believed that runner would apply too much pressure over the longer distance to his runner and as a result surrendered the lead.  Although not being critical of surrendering the lead in tonight’s event Mr Bullock was advised to drive the gelding in a more consistent pattern that does not bring attention to the stewards.

 RACE 6 – CATTLEWASH AT YIRRIBEE PACING STUD PACE – 1730 metres

TASBMIKI – Approaching the 300 metres was inconvenienced when KENZIE SHANNON was shifting wider.

SMOOTH BUCKAROO – At the request of connections the gelding will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

KENZIE SHANNON – Driver T Bullock was issued with a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that approaching the 300 metres when shifting his runner wider has inconvenienced TASBMIKI.  Post-race sample.

ULTIMATE EMPIRE – Pre-race blood.

 RACE 7 – THE TAB APP 2YO PACE – 1730 metres

LEXY BELLE – Post-race sample.

NIGHT WITCH – Pre-race blood. 

MY SHIRAZ – When negotiating the first turn hung out then continued to hang out at various times throughout the event.  Connections were advised the filly will be required to requalify on one occasion prior to racing.

CUT OF THE CASH – Broke stride shortly after the start.  As it was the gelding’s first race start it will be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

 RACE 8 – BEDWELLS FEED BARN QUALITY FARM SUPPLIES 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

SEAMEINTHECITY – Pre-race blood.  Trainer J O’Shea was fined the sum of $50 under rule 268A(1) for failing to submit a gear form for the filly prior to racing.  Fractious when leaving the score up circle.  Post-race sample.

GUARDED PROGNOSIS – Broke stride at the 1300 metres when the pace in the running line eased slightly.  Furthermore, the gelding broke stride when approaching the 600 metres.  Considering its recent record, it will be stood down for a period of 14 days and must requalify on two occasions.

 RACE 9 – BATHURST PARTY AND EVENTS HIRE PACE – 2260 metres

A TRUE PHENOMENON – Inconvenienced at the 300 metres when trailing BETTORBYTHESEA who was yielding ground.

BETTORBYTHESEA – Trainer/driver S Hewitt was questioned on the mares below market expectation performance.  He stated after getting an easy first half of 64.3 seconds the filly was extremely disappointing when placed under pressure over the final 500 metres.  He further added that he would consider the filly’s racing future in his stable in the coming days. 

STUDLEIGH TITANIUM – Pre-race blood.

BOPPER – Approaching the 750 metres broke stride.  A warning was issued.

LLANFAIR ROCKY – Post-race sample.

ROWLEY MINT – Out of position at the start.  The gelding will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.

HERESHOPINGSHANNON – Held up for clear racing room until the final 200 metres.
