RACE 1 – DIFFERENTIAL & MECHANICAL SERVICES PACE 2170m

EDDIETHELEGEND – Tired over the concluding stages to finish in 10th position, beaten 111 metres. Given the rain affected track conditions, no action was taken against the colt.

RONZEL SONNY – Post race swab sample.

SHANKEN SANDS – Raced three wide during the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.

UNCLE CRAIGO – Pre race blood sample. Raced three wide during the early stages before being restrained to last position.

PENCIL ME IN – Tired over the concluding stages to finish in 9th position, beaten 110 metres. Given the rain affected track conditions, no action was taken against the mare.

MICTON MOUSE – Improved three wide during the middle stages before working forward. Passing the 700 metres the gelding hung in, resulting in MICTON MOUSE being forced to race three wide over the concluding stages.

GENERAL –  Following the running of Race 1, the Starter expressed concerns regarding the operation of the mobile barrier. Prior to the running of Race 2, Stewards directed that a test be conducted with the mobile barrier, during which it became evident that the vehicle would be unable to safely effect a start. Stewards also held concerns regarding visibility given the prevailing conditions. After consultation with Club officials, the decision was made to abandon the remainder of the meeting due to the condition of the track and ongoing inclement weather.
