RACE 1 – MULTIQUIP THREE YEAR OLD PACE – 1609 metres

SPELL CHECK – Pre-race blood samples. Had to be checked and broke stride rounding the turn after the start, when racing tight on the inside of WICKED STRIKE, which was carried in and made slight contact with SPELL CHECK, when MERRYWOOD LOU hung in and shifted in despite the efforts of its driver. Hampered and had to be shifted wider passing the 600 metres when attempting to avoid RORY OTARA. Raced roughly for a short distance rounding the home turn.

MERRYWOOD LOU – Trainer/driver Miss G Panella was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record in relation to the incident rounding the turn after the start.

RORY OTARA – Was baulked entering the back straight on the first occasion when racing tight on the inside of JOE BOY, when SPELL CHECK resumed its position on the track. Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displayed a poor recovery rate. Trainer/driver Mr J Kennedy was advised that prior to racing again RORY OTARA must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.

 

RACE 2 – PACING FOR PINK – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1980 metres

TRUTHBETOLD – Pulled hard during the middle stages.

TRY CATCHING ME – Raced tight on the inside of HAPPY TULHURST for a short distance approaching the home turn and had to be steadied. Subsequently N Hurst the trainer/driver of HAPPY TULHURST was asked to exercise more care in future.

A LITTLE DILEMMA – Pre-race blood samples. Post-race swab sample.

ESPERANZA – Pulled hard during the early stages.

 

RACE 3 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1980 metres.

BARRYS BROTHER – Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after rounding the turn after the start and galloped for some distance. Trainer/driver Mr A Varga was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

LAST FLITE – Pre-race blood sample. Galloped away when the start was affected. Trainer/driver Mr N Hurst was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

RONNYS WATCHING – Held up for some distance in the early part of the home straight and had to be shifted in inside the 100 metres to obtain clear running.

YELLA – post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 4 – VALE VINCE BRENNAN – 1980 metres

UNIT FORTY ONE – Pre-race blood samples. Post-race swab sample.

RIPPIN GOOD FEELIN – Raced roughly for a short distance rounding the first turn.

COUNTRY MAJOR – Raced in restricted room for some distance approaching the home turn and then in the early part of the home straight.

 

RACE 5 – VALE STAN LOCKWOOD – 1609 metres

SUPERIOR ART – became unbalanced passing the 800m, shifted out marginally and sustained slight contact from BENJMAGEE, which shifted in slightly, this resulted in the gelding being checked and breaking stride for a short distance.

GOLDNGLITZ – pre-race blood sample.

BLING THE KASH – Post-race swab sample.

IM NO GIFT – Was hampered slightly near the 800m when racing behind SUPERIOR ART. Weakened inside the 500m. trainer / Driver Ms S Rushbrook was advised that a poor performance warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

BENJIMAGEE – Weakened inside the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer / Driver Mr S Ison was advised that a poor performance warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

JACKS FYRE – Trainer/driver Mr D Chapple was fined $50 under AR 162(1)(h) for failing to drive the gelding into position at the start.

 

RACE 6 – TAMBURLAINE ORGANIC WINES – K LANGELAAR PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1609 metres

LIMOUSINE CHEEKY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN – Held up inside the 150 metres and unable to be driven to the finish.

ADRENALINE RUSH – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn, then was held up in the early part of the home straight and had to be shifted out near the 100 metres to obtain clear running.

 

RACE 7 – COAST CARE SUPPORT – JEMMA CONEY PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1609 metres

LACHIES GAMBLE – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was 3/5 lame in the near foreleg and was treated on course by the club’s veterinary officer. Connections were advised that LACHIES GAMBLE is now subject to a 28 day stand down period and prior to racing again must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.

LOCKITINEDDY – Broke stride during the score up and caused a false start. Connections were advised that the provision of last chance in the mobile draw would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

ALLORNOTHINGLEVI – Driver J Coney was cautioned in relation to the way she applied the whip in the home straight.

LACHIES IDEAL – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 1200 metres. Connections were advised that prior to racing again LACHIES IDEAL must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.

YOU CANNOT HIDE – Galloped away when the start was affected, then could not be restrained and galloped excessively. Connections were advised that prior to racing again the gelding must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.

 

RACE 8 – KUDOS RENOS – BLAKE HUGHES PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1980 metres

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

HE SAID SHE SAID – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

SONIC EXPRESS – Held up in the home straight and unable to be driven to the finish.

MCCRIKEY NZ – post-race swab sample.

CINNAMON – pre-race blood sample. Held up for some distance in the early part of the home straight.

 

RACE 9 – TRITTON RACING – GRACE PANELLA PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1609 metres

LAURIE DEE – pre-race blood sample.

AMILLION PROMISES

ALLSOPP – Hung out when being driven forward inside the 400 metres and raced roughly for a short distance. Post-race swab sample.

CUT GLASS NZ – Refused to participate in the score up and after considerable assistance from the clerks of the course, followed the field at a distance before being retired. Trainer / Driver Mr S Ison said that it was his intention to consult connections to determine whether it was feasible to continue the gelding’s preparation. Mr Ison was told that to allow this, an indefinite stand down period would be applied and given the nature of CUT GLASS’ record relative to starting misdemeanours, if the preparation were to continue, it would be resumed after a significant stand down period, repeated satisfactory performance in official qualifying trials and then be subject to the embargo of right outside the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 10 – MARK LOWE – HRNSW 2025 CLUB VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION AWARD PACE – 1980 metres

LAST TIME JOE – Had to be checked for some distance inside the 500 metres when racing behind the weakening BETTERTHANFEDERER.

ARNIES ARMY NZ – Post-race swab sample due to being successfully claimed.

BETTERTHANFEDERER – Pulled had for some distance in the early stages and could not be properly restrained resulting in the gelding racing wide for a considerable distance in the early stages prior to weakening inside the 500 metres.

GROSSO NASO – post-race swab sample.

CARRAMAR OLAM – pre-race blood sample.
