RACE 1 – MOOREHEAD CRANES THE FRIENDLY CRANE COMPANY PACE – 1730 metres

LAYLA SHANNON – Pre-race swab sampled. 

ARTISTIC SCOTT – Raced roughly under pressure in the home straight, for which a warning was issued. 

ZEN MASTER – Stable representative L Green was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the horse.  He stated he was not too disappointed with the run.  He added that it races best when able to lead but was unable to do so tonight.  He further added that it hadn’t raced since the 30th of April and in his view would take benefit from tonight’s run.

ROCKIN IN PARADISE – Post-race swab sampled.

PAS DE CHEVAL – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

LETTUCE GO MIKI – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

MAMMALS GIRL – Held up for clear running until near the 50 metres.

 

RACE 2 – THANK YOU BATHURST PARTY AND EVENTS HIRE PACE – 1730 METRES

RIKIBREAL – Pre-race swab sampled.  Driver J Hewitt was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare.  He stated that it raced dour in his view, he was following TAPAGANOOSH after leaving the 600 metres but when it sprinted he was unable to go with it.  He added that as a result rounding the turn near the 400 metres they got pushed wider on the track and he was a little disappointed with the way it finished the race off.

TAPAGANOOSH – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 3 – SPELLING AVAILABLE AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1730 metres

HAVEYOUCHECKEDIN – Inconvenienced during the score up and raced roughly as a result when it improved up onto the back of BAXTER RED.

CASSIUS DECK – Pre-race swab sampled.  Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – PACING FOR PINK KNIGHT 29TH MAY PACE – 1730 metres

SHAUN SHANNON – Broke gait during the score up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued. 

MAJOR JEWEL – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

FLUTTERING ANGEL – Sulky wheel contacted by SMOOTH CHAKRA after the start when that runner hung in.  Over raced during the middle stages of the event.  Driver H Ross was questioned regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare.  He stated that he was somewhat surprised with how short it started in tonight’s race.  He added he had to work a bit harder than he would have liked to try to lead which was how the stable wanted her driven tonight.  He further added that the mare did race keenly after doing that work in the early stages and may need a freshen up.

SMOOTH CHAKRA – Hung in after the start for which a warning was issued and as a result contacted the sulky wheel of FLUTTERING ANGEL.  Hung in under pressure in the home straight for which a warning was issued.  A post-race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any significant abnormalities although it was reported that it had a slower than normal recovery.

CAPITALISM – Tightened for room near the 100 metres when SMOOTH CHAKRA hung in.

LUCKY PUNT – Post-race swab sampled.

SATELLITE EXPRESS – Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

ROLL TO THE TOP – Pre-race swab sampled.  Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

 

RACE 5 – BATHURST RSL CLUB PACE – 1730 metres

GRAYSON RED – Pre-race swab sampled. 

ART OF TERROR – Post-race swab sampled.

FIRESTORM RED – Examined by the Club Veterinarian pre and post-race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared of any significant abnormalities.

BETTOR KEPPEL – Trainer M Tunbull was fined $50 under rule 210 for not declaring a driver for the gelding by the required time.

 

RACE 6 – THANK YOU OBERON TRASH-PAK PACE – 2260 metres

MAC THUNDER – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

GO WITHOUT – Pre-race swab sampled.  Driver J Turnbull was queried regarding the below market expectations of the gelding.  He stated he was not disappointed with the run given it had to work a bit harder than he would have liked in the early stages of the event to lead.  He added the pace of the race increased from the 800 metres when BETTING RANGER commenced to put the pace on.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities. 

CHICAGO BART – Post-race swab sampled.

AUNTIE LOU – Tightened for room approaching the 200 metres when ALWAYSBMYPONY shifted out and was inconvenienced. 

BETTING RANGER – Over raced during the middle stages of the event.  Driver A Hurst was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the gelding.  She stated while she was a bit disappointed with its run it did have to work hard in the early stages and raced keenly during the middle stages of the event.  She added that it had been three weeks between runs for the gelding which may have affected it.

ALWAYSBMYPONY – Driver M Turnbull was issued with a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 200 metres he shifted the gelding out when not sufficiently clear of AUNTIE LOU which was inconvenienced. 

COLLECT A DIME – Held up for clear running until leaving the 100 metres.

 

RACE 7 – BLUEPRINT SIGNS PACE – 1730 metres

SMOKING SHANNON – Pre-race swab sampled.  Broke gait during the score up and a false start was declared for which a warning was issued. 

WILLIEWA THUNDER – Examined by the club veterinarian pre and post-race as it was having its first start in over 12 months and cleared of any significant abnormalities. 

STUDLEIGH TITANIUM – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 8 – THANK YOU BARKERS BUTCHERY 2YO PACE – 1730 metres

CUT OF THE CASH – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres., given it was just the colt’s third race start connections were advised that it would be required to perform a requalifying trial. 

HIGHVIEW BONNIE – Pre-race swab sampled.  Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when CUT OF THE CASH broke gait. 

OUR LOU – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight. 

LUCKY GIRL – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres

LUCKY JESS – Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when CUT OF THE CASH broke gait.

WALLABY WAY – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 9 – HYNASH GROUP CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS PACE – 1730 metres

DEAR DARLING – Hung in entering and rounding the first turn for which a warning was issued.

ABSOLUTE WEAPON – Pre-race swab sampled.

MIDNIGHT CRIMES – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 10 –THE TAB APP PACE – 1730 metres

REDEMPTION MISS – Pre-race swab sampled. 

GLINDA SHANNON – Broke gait after the start, given it was only the filly’s third race start connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.

FURY ROCK – Inconvenienced after the start when GLINDA SHANNON broke gait.
