RACE 1 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE 3YO TROTTERS FOUNDATION HEAT 4 – 2300 metres

MAXIMUM STRIDE – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare himself as the driver by the prescribed time.

LONELY ROAD – Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 200 metres for which a warning was issued.

WHAT THE TOOTH – Pre-race blood sample.

SUPERIOR STRIDE - Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare A Delosa as the driver by the prescribed time. Post-race swab sample.

CEE CEE IN PARIS – Galloped out a the start for which a warning was issued.

GLADIATRIX – Became unbalanced and galloped when being eased approaching the 1300 metres for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 2 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

AFFAIRE DE COVER – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

LAST CLANSMAN – Trainer K Morris was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare J Coney as the driver by the prescribed time. Pre-race blood sample.

ITZFERGIETIME – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – CORDINA FOOD CO PACE – 1609 metres

DUTTON – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

MICKEY BE NIMBLE - Trainer K Towers was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare B McDonough as the driver by the prescribed time. Sustained a flat offside sulky wheel passing the 400 metres.

BETTOR BE LUCKY - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

MADAZALWAYS - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

 

 

RACE 4 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE – 1609 metres

CYCLONE JENNI – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for failing to declare A Delosa as the driver by the prescribed time. Pre-race blood sample.

SEABOW – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

D J ROCK NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

EBONY KARALTA – Post-race swab sample.

PERFECTDELIGHT – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 1100 metres. Stewards questioned Driver R Morris in relation to the performance of the filly ($1.40 fav) when finishing in second position. Mr Morris explained the filly appeared to switch off when leading. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight for which a warning was issued. 

 

RACE 5 – FAST AS THE WIND @ WINGATE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

BEV THE GOAT NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 76.4 metres and finished in 9th position.

CHARLIES ACE NZ - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

THERES WALLY – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.

RAYS REDEMPTION – Stewards questioned Driver B McDonough in relation to the tactics adopted and the overall performance of the gelding when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 91.8 metres and finished in last position. Driver B McDonough explained he was instructed to drive the gelding forward at the start and attempt to lead and maintain a solid tempo throughout. Mr McDonough stated that RAYS REDEMPTION began well from the start and after crossing the lead and was surprised when the first section flashed up in 26.0 seconds and as a result he elected to try and ease and gain some respite, however when doing so RAYS REDEMPTION contacted its own sulky and raced keenly. Mr McDonough explained he was unable to restrain the gelding further although being able to get the second quarter in 28.2 seconds however the gelding was racing keenly throughout and approaching the 700 metres, failed to race genuinely from that point. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. In view of the disappointing performance RAYS REDEMPTION was stood down until it completes on requalifying trial.

OUR UNCLE JIM - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

RACE 6 – DAHUA COMMUNITY PACE – 1609 metres

ARK SEA – Post-race swab sample.

FASTING – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

OUTSIDE FIGHTER - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

JILLIBY FABIO – Pre-race blood sample.

CARLO GAMBINO NZ - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 7 – CATTLEWASH STANDING AT YIRRIBEE PACE – 1609 metres

FE FE ON FIRE – Tightened passing the 350 metres when WESTERN STYLE was taken up the track towards its inside which carried SWEET ROCKY up towards the running of FE FE ON FIRE which was placed it in restricted room to the inside of SPIRIT OF ARION NZ.

HAS THE COURAGE – Pre-race blood sample.

BETTORLIGHTEM UP – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sample.

SPIRIT OF ARION NZ – Driver D Murphy was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier until the start was effected.

WESTERN STYLE - Driver M Bigeni was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile barrier until the start. Driver M Bigeni was issued  a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that passing the 150 metres he has permitted WESTERN STYLE up the track when not clear of SWEET ROCKY and as a result that runner was taken up towards the running of FE FE ON FIRE and placed in restricted room to the inside of SPIRIT OF ARION NZ.

 

RACE 8 – SKY RACING PACE – 1609 metres

ROCLEA IMAGE – Raced roughly during the score up and was slow to begin. Raced roughly shortly after the start.

DESSIE GEE – pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

HES A MEISTER NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
