Ms Turnbull advised she did give consideration to improve three (3) wide at that stage of the event if she able to gain a cover following up other runners as the colt has been racing fiercely & taking charge of its driver’s in previous starts when improving without cover. Ms Turnbull explained she went to improve however runners in advance of her were relucted to improve at that stage where SMOOTH BUCKAROO improved quickly to her outside therefore was unable to manoeuvre wider without causing interference. Ms Turnbull added she was able to improve her position in the running line however was not until passing the 100m she was able gain any advantage to shift COWBOY CULTURE wider. Ms Turnbull added once COWBOY CULTURE obtained clear running the colt failed to improve in the desired manner & failed to compete in a genuine manner. Ms Turnbull added it would be the stable intentions to continue to drive COWBOY CULTURE in similar manner going forward if circumstances permit. After viewing the available replays and the comments of Ms Turnbull stewards took the matter no further.
