RACE 1 – WELCOME MJAYS CAFÉ @ CLUBPACEWAY PACE – 1720 metres

DUTY OF CARE – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

FLO RYDA NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.  Over raced during the middle stages.

OUR UNCLE JIM – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

BARA RILEY – Held up during the early part of the straight.

ADMIRABLE NZ – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

EYEKNOW – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

 

RACE 2 – ATTICURIO BIZARRE MARKET @ CLUB PACEWAY JUNE 13 & 14 PACE – 2125 metres

UNCLE TIGER – Shifted out under pressure inside the final 150 metres. 

KIKI MEISTER – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke shortly after the start resulting in WINGMAN LOU and CLEAR LEFT NZ being inconvenienced.  A warning will now be placed on the record of KIKI MEISTER.  It was noted that passing the 1800 metres KIKI MEISTER had broken its head check.

WINGMAN LOU – Inconvenienced shortly after the start when KIKI MEISTER broke gait.  Post-race swab sample.

CLEAR LEFT NZ – Inconvenienced shortly after the start when KIKI MEISTER broke gait.

CAPTAIN RITCHIE – Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight prior to obtaining a clear run to the inside of UNCLE TIGER which shifted out under pressure.

 

RACE 3 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

FOXY DADA – Pre-race blood sample.  A post-race veterinary examination of FOXY DADA, which finished in 7th placing beaten 11 metres ($2.00 fav), revealed the gelding to be lame in the right foreleg.  FOXY DADA will now be stood down from racing for a period of 7 days and until a veterinary clearance is tendered.

THE METAL FLYER – Fractious during the score up at the first attempt resulting in THE METAL FLYER and MAURLEN BOY making contact resulting in Jorja Daskalovski (THE METAL FLYER), Zara Fitzpatrick (MAURLEN BOY) being dislodged from the sulky.  Both drivers subsequently underwent examinations by the on course paramedics and were cleared to fulfill their engagements.  Given the recent record of THE METAL FLYER the gelding will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events. 

MAJOR REASON – Driver Seaton Grima was fined $200 under Rule 256(2)(a) for using the whip free of the rein on multiple occasions inside the final 200 metres.

WHATABOYJACK – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

MAGNETIC STORM – Held up inside the final 200 metres.

MAJOR ICON NZ – Held up rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight. 

IM BLINGIN IT – Over raced during the middle stages.

 

RACE 4 – AUSSIE NIGHT MARKETS SUNDAY JUNE 14 PACE – 1720 metres

HAPPY TOO YA – Driver Seaton Grima was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 7th placing beaten 35 metres ($2.20 fav).  Mr Grima explained previously HAPPY TOO YA has performed best when able to lead and added that he made significant use of HAPPY TOO YA during the early stages in attempting to do so which he felt contributed to the gelding’s failure to run on over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination of HAPPY TOO YA failed to reveal any significant findings.

JILLIBY FABIO – Driver Jye Coney was explained the gelding was slow to score up after having a gear adjustment completed which resulted in him making use of JILLIBY FABIO to fully fulfill its position prior to the start.  Mr Coney further added that nonetheless JILLIBY FABIO was disappointing over the concluding stages which he attributed to the early use made of JILLIBY FABIO and the fast speed throughout as evidenced by the mile rate of 1:54:4.

DOM TORETTO NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 5 – TME TRAINING 3YO PACE – 1720 metres

COMPLETE STRANGER – Post-race swab sample.

CANTPLZA MALTEEZA – Driver Bailey McDonough was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 10th and last placing beaten 39 metres.  Mr McDonough explained that he allowed CANTPLZA MALTEEZA to progress forward three wide shortly after passing the 700 metres in an attempt to follow the race favourite SENTOSAR, however CANTPLZA MALTEEZA commenced to hang in shortly after passing the 800 metres and as a result found it difficult to improve when positioned wide on the track and in his view proved disappointing thereafter.  A post-race veterinary examination of CANTPLZA MALTEEZA failed to reveal any significant findings.  Given the performance and the racing manners displayed a warning was issued.

RACE 6 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT PACE – 1720 metres

TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Hung in under pressure passing the 400 metres, contacted a marker peg and raced roughly as a consequence.  A warning was subsequently placed on the record of TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ.

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Checked passing the 400 metres when TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ hung in and contacted marker pegs and paced roughly as a consequence.

ROCKIN BULL – Trainer/driver Seaton Grima was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the horse in comparison to its most recent starts.  Mr Grima explained that ROCKIN BULL had only recently joined his stable and had worked well leading into the event and he was confident of a forward showing on that basis.  Mr Grima further added that ROCKIN BULL had shown promise at its initial race starts for the previous stable and appeared to have regained that form.  Post-race swab sample.

BEV THE GOAT NZ – Broke during the score up and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND EVERY THURSDAY PACE – 2125 metres

FINAL PROMISE – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

HESHARLEY – Locked wheels with RIO DE JANEIRO BLUE NZ passing the 400 metres and was checked as a consequence.  Over raced during the middle stages.

GREY CADILLAC – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings. 

RIO DE JANEIRO BLUE NZ – Locked wheels passing the 400 metres with HESHARLEY and was checked as a consequence. 

 

RACE 8 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT JUNE 27 PACE – 1720 metres

NASHVILLE BART – Driver Seaton Grima was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 10th placing beaten in excess of 100 metres ($3.90).  Mr Grima advised he was at a loss to provide any tangible explanation for the poor performance other than NASHVILLE BART failed to travel from the 800 metres onwards.  A post-race veterinary examination of NASHVILLE BART failed to reveal any significant findings.  Given the poor performance NASHVILLE BART will be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.

KING COREY – Driver Cameron Hart was questioned regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 8th placing beaten 28 metres ($4.00).  Mr Hart explained that KING COREY in his opinion did not appreciate the pressure applied by TRISTAR FOR CHRIS to its outside during the middle stages.  A post-race veterinary examination of KING COREY failed to reveal any significant findings.  Given the performance and the beaten margin (28.9 metres) a warning was issued.

RONNYS WATCHING – Pre-race blood sample.  Broke clear of interference passing the 1500 metres and a warning was issued.  Paced roughly passing the 700 metres.

IMA SHINKANSEN – Checked passing the 1500 metres when RONNYS WATCHING broke gait.

MADAZALWAYS – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in more than 200 races.  These examinations did not reveal any significant findings.

RAINBOWSEND – Post-race swab sample.
