RACE 1 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2030 metres

TISBURY ROCKS NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

WAR WESTERN – Driver B Elder was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that after making a three wide move crossing to the position outside of the leader passing the 1000 metres restricted the racing room of IRE OF THE DRAGON which was momentarily hampered.

KARAOKE KING – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

GRUMPYSHANNON – Post-race sample was taken.

SWEET TARA – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 2 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

LOCHINVAR JAG – Post-race sample was taken.

PET KITTY – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 3 – PSC INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 2030 metres

COUNTY COURT JUDGE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

SWEET ROCKY – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

LOU WILL NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 4 – BARASTOC RACE N WIN PACE – 1609 metres

ARNIES ARMY NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

WHATABOYJACK – Post-race sample was taken.

LITTLE DEMON – Placed in restricted room racing down the home straight on the final occasion.

PURE GRUNT – When questioned regarding the performance driver J Gallagher explained to Stewards that after finding rearward position was somewhat at a disadvantage with the sectionals recorded however given the quick last half was pleased in his runners efforts over the concluding stages. 

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

 

RACE 5 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 1609 metres

OBADIAH DRAGON NZ – Commenced to weaken to be beaten a considerable distance passing the 600 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have cardiac arrythmia.  As this was its third attack however beyond 12 months from its most recent  Stewards ordered that it be stood down for a period of 21 days, a veterinary certificate of fitness inclusive of three requalifying trials.  In those trials Stewards ordered that it be subject to an ECG both pre and post of all trials in addition to it having to also not have an individual mile rate greater than two minutes.

MAJOR REASON – Post-race sample was taken.

ITZMINONTHELINE – Checked racing down the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

HUXTON NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Checked as the field raced down the back straight when trailing weakening runners.  As the field negotiated the final turn broke stride free of interference.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Connections were advised given its record it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

LACEYS LAD NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 6 – TRUCK AND FLEET MAINTENANCE PACE – 1609 metres

MAJOR AUSTIN – Post-race sample was taken.

MODERN MISCHIEF – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 7 – SOMERSET MEATS 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

MAIN BEACH – Pre-race sample was taken.

SWEDESBORO – Had a tendency to hang in as the field negotiated the final turn.

GORDONS GHOST – Had a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

LOUIGI – Hampered inside the final 100 metres.

RAINBOWSEND – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

BRING YOUR BEST – Driver B Elder was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when manoeuvring wider down the home straight on the final occasion in an attempt to gain clear running initially engaged in a jostle with LOUIGI and as gaining an advantage raced inside the line of that runner and as a result was hampered.

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 9 – BONVILLA ESTATE WINES PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKNROLL TONY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

WALLAROY BOY – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Post-race sample was taken.

HAITCH VEE TEE – Driver D Scanlan was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile prior to the start being affected.
