RACE 1 – COLTON COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY PACE – 1730 metres
KENZIE SHANNON – Fractious in the score up causing the start to be aborted when driver T Bullock raised his hand A warning was issued. Driver T Bullock was fined $200 under Rule 162(1)(d) for delaying the start in that when KENZIE SHANNON was fractious in the score up the mare appeared that she may not be able to fill her barrier position prior to the start and as a result Mr Bullock has raised his hand to alert the starter who aborted the start. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
REVEILLE JET – Pre-race blood sample.
LUCKY PUNT – Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.
DUFFY HOLLOW NZ – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 2 – ACCUMEN ACCOUNTANTS PACE – 1730 metres
BERTIE JONES NZ – Co-Trainer Mr D McDowell was queried on the perceived improved performance of the gelding. He stated the gelding has had one run from a long lay off and believed him to be well graded in the tonight’s event and from a good barrier draw combined with an easy lead the gelding performed as expected. Post-race swab sample.
ALTA BILLY – Driver W Rixon was queried on the overall performance of the gelding which failed to run on over the concluding stages. Mr Rixon stated he was disappointed in the performance and was advised by Trainer J Turnbull the gelding may be better suited to racing on the smaller half mile tracks in easier company in future.
SIBELLA SHANNON – Pre-race blood sample.
JOETOMO – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. The gelding will now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
PRINCE OF PEACE – When attempting a run to the inside of IM DESIRABLE at the 150 metres contacted marker pegs.
RACE 3 – PALMERS PAINTING AND CONTRACTING PACE – 1730 metres
BOHEMIAN BRAWLER – Pre-race blood sample.
THE ROGUE I AM – Leaving the 600 metres the outside sulky wheel was contacted when DIVINE GIRL was attempting a run to the outside.
RUNKLE – Racing outside the leader tended to over race contributing to the gelding giving ground over the concluding stages.
SUNSET JAY JAY – Checked leaving the 600 metres when trailing DIVINE GIRL who had broke stride.
SLYX NZ – Post-race swab sample.
DIVINE GIRL – Driver Miss Ella Turnbull was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) when attempting to shift wider has made contact to the outside sulky wheel of THE ROGUE I AM and as a result the mare broke stride. In not taking further action, the racing manners of DIVINE GIRL who was hanging in and proved difficult to shift wider was taken into consideration.
RACE 4 – INLAND DIGITAL PACE – 2260 metres
MAC THUNDER – Driver L Green was queried on the gelding’s overall performance after over racing when leading the event, yielded ground over the final 300 metres to finish in 10th and last position beaten 46.5 metres. He stated with the gelding over racing throughout the event it may have choked himself off to some degree contributing to the gelding failing to run on over the final stages. A warning was placed on MAC THUNDER’S racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
THE SWIFT ONE – Driver E Dwyer was queried on the mare’s overall performance who failed to run on as expected to finish in 7th position beaten 24.7 metres. Miss Dwyer stated when being forced wider on the track over the final 400 metres and over the longer distance the mare was unsuited being slightly dissappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
BORROWED TIME – Driver J Turnbull was queried on the gelding’s overall performance when caught racing three wide in the early stages worked forward to the position outside the leader until failing to run on when placed under pressure over the final 400 metres to finish in 9th position beaten 45.7 metres. He stated having to do more work in the early stages than expected to obtain a forward position combined with the fast tempo over the longer distance, proved detrimental to the gelding’s overall performance.
BUDDY BRILLIANCE – Pre-race blood sample. At the request of connections, a pre-race warm up was approved.
ALFNALMA – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 5 – SKILLSET SENIOR COLLEGE PACE – 1730 metres
BETTER SHUSH – When entering the first turn was placed in restricted racing room as a result of TAPAGANOOSH attempting to shift down the track when insufficiently clear. When continuing to racing to the inside of that runner was further tightened contacting marker pegs approaching the 300 metres until locking wheels and being checked at the 250 metres until disengaging at the 1100 metres.
TAPAGANOOSH – Driver M Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when entering the first turn he has shifted his runner down the track when insufficiently clear of BETTER SHUSH before his runner raced roughly for a short distance, shifting up the track allowing BETTER SHUSH to improve to his inside further and when leaving the 400 metres has shifted his runner back down the track tightening that runner who has been forced inside marker pegs until locking wheels leaving the 300 metres. Considering Mr Turnbull’s guilty plea, his record in relation to this rule and the high degree of carelessness, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 28 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Wednesday 15 July 2026. The gelding tired over the final 400 metres to finish in 8th position beaten 74.6 metres. Last chance to race truly was placed on the gelding’s racing manners.
MCLEAN – Inconvenienced at the 400 metres as a result of BETTER SHUSH being tightened and contacting marker pegs.

SMOOTH BUZZ – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – EXECUTIVE SUITES ON HOWIC NSWSOA BONUS 3YO PACE – 1730 metres
INTERESTINME – Post-race swab sample.
COWBOY CULTURE – Galloped out as the start was affected. A warning was issued.
SMOOTH BUCKAROO – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 7 – BATHURST BUSINESS CHAMBER SUPER MAIDEN – 1730 metres
BRIOSO MINT – Out of position when the start was affected. A warning was issued.
SMALL INCOME – Raced roughly shortly after the start and when racing under pressure over the final 400 metres tended to hang in and contact marker pegs. The mare will be given its last chance to race truly.
ROWLEY MINT – Post-race swab sample.
A TRUE PHENOMENON – Pre-race blood sample. Driver J Turnbull was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have his runner in position prior to the start.
RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1730 metres
LOVE WATCH – Pre-race blood sample. Leaving the 1200 metres checked and raced roughly when RAGING ON NZ shifted down when insufficiently clear. Post-race swab sample.
BABLING BABLING – Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.
RAGING ON NZ – Driver J Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that approaching the 1200 metres has shifted his runner down the track when insufficiently clear of LOVE WATCH and as a result that runner was checked and raced roughly. Considering Mr Turnbull’s guilty plea and his record in relation to this rule, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Friday 24 July 2026.
BETTING STAR – Leaving the 1200 metres was inconvenienced when trailing LOVE WATCH who had been checked and raced rough.
