RACE 1 – CHRISTMAS IN JULY RACE NIGHT THURSDAY 23 BOOKING NOW PACE – 1720 metres
FLO RYDA NZ – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
WHERISHE – Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1300 metres.
KATES VIRTUE – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.
GIMME A REASON – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
RIO DE JANEIRO BLUE NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
OURTREACHEROUS REIGN NZ – Raced three wide in the early and middle stages until obtaining the position outside of the leader passing the 1000 metres.
OKAY GRINGO – Post-race swab sample.
CHARLIES ACE NZ – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
RACE 2 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE 1720 metres
HESHARLEY – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight on the final occasion.
ZAYNES TIGER – Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 1500 metres for which the horse was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.
RAYS REDEMPTION – Pre-race blood sample.
FINAL PROMISE – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being checked around ZAYNES TIGER when galloping before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.
JETASI NZ – Declared a late scratching at 2:00 pm acting on veterinary advice.
DAVOLAS LEGACY NZ – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 3 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 2125 metres
SOHO WASHINGTON – Post-race swab sample.
GENERAL LINCOLN – Pre-race blood sample.
HEAVENLY REASON – Over raced throughout the event.
OUR UNCLE JIM – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
GREY CADILLAC – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader leaving the 1800 metres.
RACE 4 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT 3YO PACE – 1720 metres
WICKED WHISKEY – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres.
FEARFUL – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres. Raced roughly and gave ground leaving the 600 metres to be beaten 78.3 metres and finished in last position. Driver C Hart explained that FEARFUL was quite intractable throughout the event and proved difficult to drive. Mr Hart recommended to the trainer that some gear adjustments be made prior to its next race start. In view of the gelding’s disappointing performance FEARFUL was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
CRUNCH IT – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres.
SEASIDE DRIVE – Driver J Coney was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that passing the 800 metres he has commenced to shift SEASIDE DRIVE wider on the track and as a result has caused MICKEYS RUN to be hampered when taken wider momentarily before that runner was restrained to obtain a trail from SEASIDE DRIVE. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful that Mr Coney had commenced to shift SEASIDE DRIVE prior MICKEYS RUN covering the wheel however due to momentum of MICKEYS RUN at that stage proved difficult to restrain and as a result was carried slightly wider.
DUTTON – Raced roughly passing the 1450 metres and again passing the 600 metres before giving ground to be beaten 14.7 metres and finishing in sixth position. In view of the colt’s racing manners a warning was issued.
MICKEYS RUN – Hampered passing the 800 metres when being steadied wider on the track to avoid SEASIDE DRIVE which was shifted up the track forward of it.
BELLAMYS BLAST – Pre-race blood sample.
COMPLETE STRANGER – Post-race swab sample.
SENTOSAR – Caught racing three wide in the early and middle stages until working forward to obtain the lead passing the 900 metres. Driver W Rixon explained that it took longer than anticipated for the colt to find the lead and felt that this had proved detrimental to his colt over the concluding stages. Mr Rixon explained that connections may reassess the way they drive the colt in similar circumstances.
RACE 5 – THE FROCKS @ CLUB PACEWAY AUGUST 8 LIVE PACE – 1720 metres
THERES WALLY – Trainer M Reed was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare J Gallagher as the driver by the prescribed time. Pre-race blood sample.
BLACKJACK BART – Caught racing three wide until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1500 metres.
ROCKIN BULL – Caught racing three wide until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1350 metres. Over raced when positioned outside of the leader. Stewards questioned driver J Daskalovski in relation to the racing manners and performance of ROCKIN BULL when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 20.6 metres and finished in seventh position. Driver J Daskalovski explained that prior to the event she was happy to go forward and sit outside of the leader however when racing three wide the horse commenced to over race significantly and felt that this had proved detrimental to her chances over the concluding stages. Stewards noted her comments.
HAPPY TOO YA – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1450 metres. Post-race swab sample.
THE GREEK GENERAL – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
RACE 6 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT PACE – 1720 metres
ROCKETON – Hung in and contacted a number of marker pegs rounding the final turn.
SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS – Hampered passing the 200 metres when racing in restricted room to the inside of LOUISE LUCK.
BO DUKE NZ – Hung in passing the 500 metres and as a result raced onto the wheel of TRISTAR FOR CHRIS for a short distance which had also hung up the track at that point.
BIRDY GAL – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1400 metres.
LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE – Over raced at various stages throughout the event.
LOUISE LUCK – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain a position behind the leader passing the 1300 metres. Driver S Grima was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that passing the 200 metres he has allowed LOUISE LUCK to shift down the track and as a result has placed SAPPHIRESNDIAMONDS in restricted room for a short distance.
TRISTAR FOR CHRIS – Hung out passing the 500 metres and raced onto the wheel of BO DUKE NZ for a short distance.
SIR KNIGHT – A false start was declared on the first occasion when the gelding’s lugging pole became detached during the score up. In view of the circumstances no direct action was taken.
TIGERLICIOUS – Post-race swab sample.
GOODTIME BRAVO –
RACE 7 – PENRITH SHOW AUGUST 29 & 30 TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW SUPER MAIDEN – 1720 metres
HIWAYTHREENINENINE – Driver G McElhinney was approved as a late driving replacement for L Green was indisposed.
CORNELIUS – Pre-race blood sample.
HUNGRY JOE – Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up for which a warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.
MAVERICK – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1300 metres.
CAPTAIN WILL – Hung in at various stages throughout the event.
MERRYWOOD LOU – Pulled hard during the score up. Raced three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1300 metres. Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 71.1 metres and finished in last position. In view of the gelding’s disappointing performance MERRYWOOD LOU was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
RACE 8 – TOM “PA” GARLAND MEMORIAL – 1720 metres
RACING WRITER – Pre-race blood sample. Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sample. Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up for which a warning was issued.
HOMEBOUND – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.
CASE FORTY EIGHTY – Raced roughly at various stages throughout the event.
RACE 9 – TME TRAINING PACE – 1720 metres
WATCH AFRICANDANCE – Raced roughly rounding the first turn for which a warning was issued.
FOR THREE REASONS – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 74.6 metres and finished in eighth position. Driver P Green Jnr could offer no explanation into the disappointing performance. In view of the gelding’s disappointing performance FOR THREE REASONS was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.
LETMEBECLEAR – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1400 metres. Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 56.3 metres for which the gelding was issued its last chance to race truly. Driver J Bigeni advised that connections were disappointed in the performance of the gelding.
ILUVMYSELF – Hung in and contacted a number of marker pegs and paced roughly passing the 700 metres. Failed to run on from the 700 metres to be beaten 141.9 metres and finished in last position. In view of the mare’s disappointing performance ILUVMYSELF was stood down until it completes two requalifying trials and for a period of 14 days.
BEE MY LOVER – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1200 metres.

RACE 10 – PENRITH HIGHLAND FESTIVAL @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND OCT 3 PACE – 1720 metres
BETTOR BE LUCKY – Pre & post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
BROOKESSMARTDANCER – Pre-race blood sample.
STILLINA – Hampered approaching the 1500 metres when being steadied away from the back of PETES BIG JIM which had contacted the sulky wheel of TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ and paced roughly. Post-race swab sample.
PETES BIG JIM – Placed in restricted room momentarily and contacted the sulky wheel of TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ approaching the 1400 metres and as a result paced roughly for a short distance.
TIL HEAVENS ROCKN NZ – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside of the leader passing the 1400 metres. Hung in significantly approaching the 1400 metres and contacted the leg of PETES BIG JIM when improving forward of that runner for which a warning was issued.
DILETTO – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
PELIGROSO – Hampered approaching the 1400 metres when being steadied away from the back of STELLINA which was eased off the back of PETES BIG JIM when that runner paced roughly.
