RACE 1 – POSTER BOY AT LLOWALONG FARMS PACE – 2260 metres

PAS DE CHEVAL – Post-race swab.

CLEAR LEFT NZ – Pre-race blood test. 

RUNKLE – Pre-race blood test.  Over raced throughout the event.

DRIVE TO THE BEACH – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  

BETTORS HOPE – Broke in the score up and was issued its last chance in the draw.

 

RACE 2 – BLUEPRINT SIGNS LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

HONOLULU PRINCESS – Post-race swab.

TRUE LOGIC – Raced roughly rounding the final turn.

BOLERO – Pre-race blood test. 

 

RACE 3 – HORSE QUEENED NATURAL GROOMING CARE WARATAH HEAT – 1730 metres

JEWEL HEAVEN – Post-race swab.

PRINCESS BALLERINA – Hung in and raced rough rounding the first turn for which a warning was issued. 

SATELLITE EXPRESS – Raced roughly after the start for which a warning was issued.  Raced roughly at various stages throughout the event.  Inside the final 100 metres was inconvenienced as a result of DEEPWATER CAM being disappointed for clear running and shifted out.

A LIL BIT OF LOVE – Inconvenienced approaching the 100 metres as a result of DEEPWATER CAM being disappointed for clear running and shifted out. Held up inside the final 100 metres for clear running and was not fully tested.

FIRESTORM RED – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 

DEEPWATER CAM – Approaching the 100 metres when attempting to improve into a developing run was disappointed for a run and shifted.

LETTUCE GO MIKI – Pre-race blood test. 

 

RACE 4 – RAGING BULL AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1730 metres

IDEA TIMING – Post-race swab.

THE ROGUE I AM – Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued.

THE SWIFT ONE – Pre-race blood test. 

NOSAER – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

A TRUE LOVE – Pre-race blood test.  Held up for clear running and not fully tested.

BETTING RANGER – Approaching the 1100 metres commenced to over race for which a warning was issued.  Driver Angela Hurst was issued a reprimand under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that she permitted the gelding to progress forward contacting the driver of TASBMIKI Owen Shea which was racing in advance of BETTING RANGER.

 

RACE 5 – BATHURST PARTY AND EVENTS HIRE PACE – 1730 metres

MCLEAN – Post-race swab.

NICELY SPOKEN – Hung in under pressure.

BABY YOURE THE ONE – Pre-race blood test. 

SHEZ SWEET LOUISE NZ – Stewards opened an inquiry into the driving tactics adopted by Isobel Ross.  After commencing the inquiry and taking a body of evidence Stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed.  Held up for clear running in the home straight and not fully tested.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have no obvious abnormalities.

ALWAYSBMYPONY – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 6 – NIJINSKY AT YIRRIBEE STUD FARM 3YO PACE – 1730 metres

STAY LUCKY – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

COWBOY CULTURE – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

 

RACE 7 – MOOREHEAD CRANES THE FRIENDLY CRANE COMPANY 2YO PACE – 1730 metres

COMPLIMENTRY DRINK – Pre-race blood test.  Approaching the first turn checked and broke as a result of HARBOUR VIEW being tightened from CAPTAIN VALIENTE shifting down the track.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. 

HARBOUR VIEW – Approaching the first turn was tightened and carried down the track onto COMPLIMENTRY DRINK causing that runner to be checked and break gait as a result of CAPTAIN VALIENTE shifting down the track.

CAPTAIN VALIENTE – Driver Mat Rue pleaded not guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the first turn he has permitted CAPTAIN VALIENTE to shift down the track when not clear of HARBOUR VIEW causing that runner to be carried down the track onto COMPLIMENTRY DRINK and as a result COMPLIMENTRY DRINK was checked and broke gait.  Driver Mat Rue had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 14 days to commence midnight 31 July 2026.  In assessing penalty Stewards considered Mr Rue’s plea, record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident.  Post-race swab.

RICCARDO SHANNON – Driver Travis Bullock was questioned regarding the overall performance of the gelding.  Mr Bullock explained that after beginning well RICCARDO SHANNON was obliged to race outside the leader and from the 1200 metres over raced which contributed to its overall performance as the gelding tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 61.5 metres.  Stewards issued a warning against the racing manners of RICCARDO SHANNON.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slow recovery rate. 

 

RACE 8 – ALWAYS B MIKI RETURNS TO ALABAR FARMS PACE – 1730 metres

DUN SPRUIKIN – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

SMOOTH EURO – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having not started for 12 months.  Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. In the early stages of the score up driver Will Rixon raised his hand indicating an issue with his gear and a false start was declared.  Mr Rixon indicated that he had dropped his whip in the early stages of the score up and felt it only fair to the connections of the horse that a false start be declared.  Mr Rixon was advised to ensure that he has control of his whip at all stages.

MOVES LIKE MIKI – Raced rough under pressure.

ROWLEY MINT – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.  At the request of connections will be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.

SUNSET JAY JAY – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.  Commenced to tire approaching the 500 metres and was retired from the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to sustaining arterial fibrillation.  Acting on veterinary advice SUNSET JAY JAY will now be stood down for a period of 14 days, an ECG, a veterinary certificate of clearance and one trial.

 

RACE 9 – HYNASH GROUP CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS PACE – 1730 metres

ONLY ONE REASON – Raced roughly throughout the event and tired to be beaten 72.6 metres for which a warning was issued.

TACTICAL ILLUSION – Post-race swab.

ONE STUNIN MELODY –  Inconvenienced in the score up and was out of position at the start, as a result no action was taken.

KIA ORA LOU NZ – Pre-race blood test.  Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 55 metres.  Trainer/driver Phobe Betts was questioned regarding the overall performance of the mare.  Ms Betts explained that KIA ORA LOU NZ would be better suited racing on smaller tracks.

ALWAYS A SAM – Driver John O’Shea was questioned regarding to the overall performance of the gelding after giving ground to be beaten 45.4 metres.  Mr O’Shea indicated he was confident of a forward showing however was disappointed in the overall performance of the gelding. 

 

RACE 10 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1730 metres

LITTLE ADELAIDE – Broke after the start and will now be placed out of the draw in mobile starts.  Took no competitive part in the event.

WINDFIELD BLUE – Pre-race blood test.  Post-race swab.

BOHEMIAN FLY BY – Had a tendency to hang out at various stages of the event.  Passing the 300 metres BOHEMIAN FLY BY raced roughly when under pressure and was issued its last chance to race truly.

EMILYS PRINCE – Approaching the 450 metres raced roughly.
