RACE 1 – PENRITH SHOW – APPRECIATION TO ALL INVOLVED PACE – 1720 metres

GREY CADILLAC – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

FLO RYDA NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Post-race sample was taken.

ADDOCAR – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

ETERNAL GOLD – Gave ground over the concluding stages to finish well back.  It was reported that the off side wheel had damaged placing it at a disadvantage over the concluding stages. 

RALLY AROUND – Pre-race sample was taken. 

JACQUELYN JOY – Held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 2 – BINGO @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 2125 metres

BEV THE GOAT NZ – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and overall performance driver C Griffiths explained that after beginning well and finding the position in the lead was presented with a challenge from NOTHINGBUTWAVES and looked to maintain that position again and shortly thereafter again pressure was applied for the lead position to which he relented given the tempo at that point.  He further added that throughout the run was somewhat difficult to drive wanting to have a tendency to hang out and whilst under pressure rounding the final turn continued to hang out whilst in restricted room when racing to the inside of GOODTIME BRAVO which shifted in slightly and as a result broke stride.  No direct action was taken against any driver or horse for that stage of the event and driver C Griffiths comments were noted in relation to the performance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have had superficial lacerations due to rubbing of gear on the near side hind leg.

NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Post-race sample was taken.

ADMIRABLE NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities. 

DUTY OF CARE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to hang in whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

MON SOLEIL – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame in the off side hind leg.  Acting on veterinary advice it was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness.

 

RACE 3 – MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT @ CLUB PACEWAY BOOK NOW PACE – 1720 metres

SUNSET STRIDE – Post-race sample was taken.

VINKE BE NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

IM ALRITE – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 4 – FATHER’S DAY FEAST AT CLUB PACEWAY SUNDAY SEPT 6 BOOK NOW – 1720 metres

LACEYS LAD NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

MONTALBANO – Pre-race sample was taken.  When questioned regarding the tactics adopted driver C Hart explained that shortly after the start was affected was able to obtain a running line position with cover.  He further added that as RAVISHING SLOY moved to the position in the lead elected to slide forward and attempt for the lead position given his runners turn of foot however was unsuccessful and shortly thereafter restrained to race in the position outside of the leader.  He was pleased in his runner’s efforts leaving the back straight as it showed some kick however faded over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  Stewards noted his comments.

TIGER PRINCE – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

JILLIBY FABIO – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

GROSSO NASO – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 5 – STEPS FOR LOVE OF LIVING PACE – 1720 metres

WOT DYA RECKON – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

HOMEBOUND – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 6 – MARKETS @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND EVERY THURSDAY 3YO PACE – 1720 metres

DESIGNA LABEL – Had a tendency to hang out in the latter stages of the score up and momentarily locked wheels with CAPTAIN TIDS.  Connections were advised that it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

CAPTAIN TIDS – Hampered just prior to the start being affected.  Prior to the declaration of all clear Stewards reviewed the patrol footage and took evidence from J Callaghan in relation to if it was afforded a fair start.  Upon review and consultation with J Callaghan Stewards were of the view that no disadvantage had occurred and settled in its expected position and as a result was declared a runner in the event.  Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. 

MAJOR AUSTIN – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – FISHO’S RAFFLES @ CLUB PACEWAY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

SHES A HOTSHOT – Raced greenly throughout the event.

SWEET LOUVRE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

FEROCIOUS LOVER – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

FACET PRINCE – Placed in restricted room as the field left the back straight on the final occasion when racing to the inside of KVITKA STRIDE which hung in slightly resulting in FACET PRINCE being checked and race roughly for a short distance.

STEELY ZAC – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 8 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1720 metres

SMOKESCREEN – Post-race sample was taken.

SPECIAL SPIN – Pre-race sample was taken.  Galloped shortly after the start was affected.  Connections were advised that it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw given its record.  Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event and contacted marker pegs. 

 

RACE 9 – PENRITH HIGHLAND FESTIVAL @ PENRITH SHOWGROUND OCT 3 PACE – 1720 metres

GARRYS LARRY – Checked approaching the 700 metres. 

ADERFAKI – Pre-race sample was taken. 

ADIRADIVA – Broke stride approaching the 700 metres.  Given its recent record Stewards advised connections that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and until the completion of two requalifying trials.

JANELLE MAY – Had a tendency to race roughly at various stages of the event.

GRANGE REASON – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

CALM REASON – Had a tendency to hang in and contact marker pegs when negotiating the final turn.

SO CAN EYE – Upon request approval was given it to be re-included into the mobile barrier draw.  Post-race sample was taken.
