RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metres

LORIMERMAJOR – Pre-race blood sample.

ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Post-race swab sample.

HES A TERROR - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 2 – NIJINSKY STANDING AT YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres

TOBYS SHOUT - Pre-race blood sample.

FOLLOW THE MONEY – Broke during the score up for which a warning was issued.

SPREAD THE FEAR – Gave ground to be beaten 43 metres for which a warning was issued.

ELIZAJANE – Post-race swab sample.

YELLOW RIVER – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining a clear run passing the 150 metres. Driver Nathan Jack was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving, in that when shifting the gelding wider passing the 150 metres, he contacted the outside sulky wheel of ANGELIC ATTITUDE which resulted in YELLOW RIVER racing roughly.

ANGELIC ATTITUDE – Sulky contacted passing the 150 metres as a result of YELLOW RIVER being shifted wider on the track.

 

RACE 3 – BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS SUPER MAIDEN – 1740 metres

ANDERSITE - Pre-race blood sample. Out of position at the start and was issued its last chance in the draw. Post-race swab sample.

BIG NELSON – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

HAPPY HAPPY DAYS - Pre-race blood sample.

ROCKARAMA – Over raced throughout the event.

 

RACE 4 – SOHO LANIKAI STANDING AT MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1740 metres

THATS THE ATTITUDE – Broke approaching the 150 metres for which a warning was issued.

WARIEDA BOY – Passing the 500 metres sustained a flat tyre after shifting up the track into a three wide position before shifting back down the track slightly at which stage UNCLE TREV had improved into the run vacated by WARIEDA BOY and as a result contacted and flattened the near side sulky wheel of the gelding.

UNCLE TREV – Approaching the 500 metres contacted and flattened the sulky wheel of WARIEDA BOY.

GOCCIADORO - Pre-race blood sample. Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running at the 100 metres.

CINEMATIC – Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – NIXONS ENGINEERING 2YO PACE – 1740 metres

ROCKIN AT MIDNIGHT – Driver Nathan jack was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the mobile before the starting point.

STRAATHDALE – Hung out rounding the first turn.

HIGHVIEW BONNIE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

INTEMPERANCE – Post-race swab sample.

BOYSTROUS - Pre-race blood sample. Driver Alex Ashwood was issued a fine the sum of $200 under Rule 162(1)(g) for starting from the incorrect barrier position, in that prior to the starting point he has eased his runner 2 carts wider than its allocated starting position.

 

RACE 6 – SUCCESS STUD 3YO PACE – 1740 metres

EMERGING DEAL – Trainer Brad Hewitt was issued a fine of $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of Harrison Ross as the driver.

BOGDANOVIC – Over raced during the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

FIVE OCLOCK WAVE – Held up early before gaining clear running passing the 100 metres.

YIRRADIVA - Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 7 – WALSH & BLAIR LAWYERS PACE – 2270 metres

WESTERN STYLE – Broke under pressure for which a warning was issued.

AMERIKIN RUNA - Pre-race blood sample. At request of connections was placed back in the mobile barrier draw. Stewards questioned Driver Roger Strong regarding the tactics adopted and the performance of the gelding where after working forward to the lead AMERIKIN RUNA gave ground over the final stages to be beaten 26 metres. Mr Strong explained the gelding showed good speed to get to the front and was travelling comfortably so when challenged briefly for the lead elected to hold the front. Mr Strong added AMERIKIN RUNA had trialled well when leading and was confident of a forward showing however was disappointed in the performance of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

GO EASY ON ME - Pre-race blood sample. Driver Blake Medlyn was issued a fine of $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have his runner in position at the designated starting point.

RACE 8 – RIVERINA PUMPS PACE – 1740 metres

CO CAPTAIN – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

KAITOA – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the horse not having competed for in excess of 12 months. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

JILLIBY RYDER - Pre-race blood sample. Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 150 metres.

NORMS LADY – Held up entering the home straight before gaining clear running approaching the 150 metres.
