RACE 1 – SLICK CHICKS 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

LAST LEXUS – Pre-race sample was taken.

MODERN MISCHIEF – Broke stride in the middle stages of the score up.  A warning was issued.

ULTIMATE DELIMMA – Checked and raced roughly negotiating the final turn when the tempo of the event eased.  Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Connections were advised that a warning would be issued against the performance.

ULTIMATE ALL STAR – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.   Contacted the sulky of WHERES MY REASON rounding the first turn and was checked and raced roughly for a short distance as a result of the tempo easing.

THE NINJA – Had a tendency to race roughly shortly after the start was affected.

KYCORDEN – Bucked shortly after the start was affected for some distance.  Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw in addition to a last chance to race truly.

WHERES MY REASON – Sustained a contact to the rear of the sulky as the field negotiated the first turn.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 2 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 2030 metres

PERFECTDELIGHT – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Post-race sample was taken.

BLING THE KASH – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event. 

FRANKIROMAR – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

RACE 3 – RIPPIT GOLF PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKNROLL GIG – Severely checked and broke stride as the field approached the 900 metres. 

PET KITTY – Checked and raced roughly as the field approached the 900 metres.

LETSSTARTINHEAVEN – Jumped an object and broke stride whilst leading the event approaching the 900 metres checking multiple runners the field to varying degrees.  Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

RADIANT AMBER – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

THE CID – Hampered as the field approached the 900 metres.  Post-race sample was taken.

HEIDSIECK NZ – Checked as the field approached the 900 metres.

PARADISE POINT – Checked as the field approached the 900 metres.

WALTER WARLOCK – Pre-race sample was taken.  Severely checked and broke stride approaching the 900 metres.

GO AWAY AGAIN – Hampered as the field approached the 900 metres.

 

RACE 4 – HUNTER VALLEY HARNESS RACING ASSOCIATION PACE – 1609 metres

ROCKTAGONAL – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Out of position as the start was affected.  Driver G Panella was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected.

LACEYS LAD NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

SAINT CRUSADER – Post-race sample was taken.  When questioned regarding somewhat improvement Driver S Grima advised that had been racing well leading into the event and held up for clear running at its most recent start and coming into the event confident however was impressed with the mile rate recorded however felt that coming into the event had the intentions of being forward and leading and given the pressure in the early stages of the event ran a faster first quarter than expected then was able to race without pressure however was able to continue without pressure through the middle stages and finished off the event well. Stewards noted his comments.

WAMBOYNEINAMERICA – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 5 – BILL & GLENN TOMLIN MEMORIAL – 2030 metres

KARAOKE KING – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to hang out throughout various stages of the event however most severe whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  Connections were advised a warning was issued.  It was also reported that it cast its off side front plate during the event.

BET ON POLLY NZ – Had a tendency to hang out as the field negotiated the final turn and placed RESERVE BANK NZ in restricted room.

RESERVE BANK NZ – Placed in restricted room negotiating the final turn prior entering the home straight.

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 6 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND 2YO PACE – 1609 metres

RISEABOVETHEREST – Pre-race sample was taken. 

WILDFIRE STRIDE – Post-race sample was taken.

BETTOR ELEMENTS – Out of position as the start was affected.  Driver B Hughes was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up to the mobile prior to the start being affected.  Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

DELANEY NZ – Out of position as the start was affected.  Driver D Jack was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position prior to the start being affected.

ULTIMATE CRUSADER – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 7 – MANTLE LANDSCAPE SUPPLIES PACE – 2030 metres

STAY FOOLISH – Pre-race sample was taken. 

HEEZ REASONABLE – Placed in restricted room entering the first and was obliged to race wide before being unsuccessful for a position outside of the leader racing down the back straight on the first occasion and obliged to be restrained to the rear of the field.

IRE OF THE DRAGON – Driver R Atkins was cautioned in relation to closing down the track in the early stages of the event restricting the racing room of HEEZ REASONABLE.

PELIGROSO – Post-race sample was taken.

ROCKNROLL CLARRY – Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

 

RACE 8 – MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

MEDIA MOGUL – Post-race sample was taken.

HOGES MEMORIES – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

THRIPENNY – Pre-race sample was taken.
