RACE 1 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND WARATAH HEAT – 1609 metres

TEN GALLON – When placed in restricted room rounding the final turn contacted marker pegs.

KARAOKE KING – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

DEECEE ROCKIN – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 2 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES PACE – 1609 metres

LEOTA – Pre-race sample was taken.  Slow away as the start was affected.

BLING THE KASH – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

BETWEEN DECKS – Post-race sample was taken.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 3 – MITAVITE – LEAVING NOTHING TO CHANCE PACE – 1609 metres

DANCE WITH CARMER – Post-race sample was taken.

LACEYS LAD NZ – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

SOUTH SEAS ROCK NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 4 – RAGING BULL STANDING AT ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

HALF HOLIDAY – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Stewards intend to inquire into the tactics adopted by driver M Grant.  As left the course prior to being questioned the inquiry was adjourned.

PENURIOUS – Checked and locked wheels as the field negotiated the final turn.

VINCENTUS MAXIMUS – Post-race sample was taken.

DANGEROUS THREATS – Pre-race sample was taken.

CAPTAIN GROOVE – Hampered rounding the final turn when trailing weaking runners. 

METALLICA MAN – Momentarily locked wheels with VINCENTUS MAXIMUS passing the 700 metres.

RADIANT AMBER – A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.

 

RACE 5 – TOM FROST MEMORIAL – 1609 metres

DOUBLE NEEDS – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

RORY OTARA – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

DUBLIN CITY RAMBLA – A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

SILENT FEARS – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken. 

 

RACE 6 – ALABAR AUSTRALIA LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

COOINDALAI – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

BARRYS ROSE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

KRUSTY KRUNCH – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH NSWSOA FIRST PAST THE POST BONUS 2YO PACE

SPUNKYS A COUGAR – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

BE HAPPY LARRY – Momentarily locked wheels with WILDFIRE STRIDE as the field negotiated the first turn.

DON JACKO – Tightened for racing room rounding the final turn and contacted marker pegs when to the inside of DELANEY NZ.

REVVIN REYNARD – Had a tendency to race greenly over the final 600 metres of the event.  Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

WILDFIRE STRIDE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Momentarily locked wheels as the field negotiated the first turn.  When questioned regarding the tactics adopted driver A Delosa explained it was the pre-race intention to work forward in the event.  She further added that after beginning on terms with other runners settled towards the rear of the field and looked to move forward rounding the first turn.  Coming into the home straight on the first occasion when attempting for the position outside of the leader was unsuccessful with DELANEY NZ maintaining its position outside of the leader to which at that point attempted to restrain racing down the home straight on the first occasion.  She further added that when passing the 800 metres her runner had a tendency to strike its own sulky causing it to over race and without fighting again allowed her runner to move forward whereas a result was caught racing wide for the entirety of the event.  Stewards noted her comments.

ULTIMATE CRUSADER – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 8 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

GOODTIME MIKI – Pre-race sample was taken. 

IRE OF THE DRAGON – Post-race sample was taken.

LOUISE LUCK – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and overall performance driver S Grima explained to Stewards it was the pre-race intention to attempt to lead the event.  He further added that with speed drawn to his inside was left racing wide rounding the first turn with IRE OF THE DRAGON maintaining its position causing it to do more work than expected to find the position outside of the leader prior to entering the home straight on the first occassion.  He further added that when racing down the home straight felt that the tempo backed off to a suitable rate however when passing the 800 metres had some difficulty with his drive with IRE OF THE DRAGON racing in close proximity when trailing resulted in the third quarter being somewhat quicker than expected.  He further added that over the concluding stages was disappointing however felt that moving forward if being able to find a position along the marker pegs would be much more beneficial and would look to being improved.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Stewards noted his comments.

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2030 metres

MADAZALWAYS – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

PELIGROSO – Pre-race sample was taken.  Post-race sample was taken.

EMJAY JAZZ – Broke stride during the early stages of the score and was out of position as the start was affected.  Connections were advised that given its record it will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

WHENS LUNCH – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.
