RACE 1 – THE CORDINA GROUP PACE – 1609 metres

RIPP – Unable to secure clear running at any stage of the home straight and was not fully tested.

COOL NIGHT – Held up for clear running until shifting wider approaching the 50 metres.

JORGE STREET – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

MAX DELIGHT – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

HI MANAMEISJEFF NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Broke gait during the score up for a short distance.  A warning was issued. 

KINGMAN NZ – Hung in during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position at the start.  Approaching the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 2 – BESTINBEDS.COM.AU PACE – 1609 metres

BARTELLO – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

GRAYSON RED – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

WEONA MISS MIKI – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

GO WITHOUT – Unable to secure clear running over the final 100 metres and was not fully tested.

 

RACE 3 – CAMDEN TIGERS PACE – 1609 metres

I BREAK THE LINE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines due to the gelding competing in its 212^th race start.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.  Improved three wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to obtain the lead near the 900 metres.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

I GOT CHILLS NZ – Raced three wide in the early stages before working forward to the lead near the 1000 metres.  Shortly thereafter surrendered that position to SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR which improved to its outside.

 

RACE 4 – REMBERING UNCLE IVAN PACE – 2300 metres

TOORAM CEE CEE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be noticeably lame in the off fore leg (4/5).  Adopting the veterinary advice connections were advised that TOORAM CEE CEE would stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness.

MAHATTEN CHICK – Approaching the 400 metres had to be checked away from MAXNJAX which had broken gait.

JEWEL HEAVEN – Approaching the 400 metres had to be steadied and checked around MAXNJAX which had broken gait. 

ACTION MAJOR NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Passing the 450 metres had to be checked when MAXNJAX broke gait.

MAXNJAX – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Leaving the 500 metres raced roughly, became unbalanced and broke gait.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg (3/5).  Trainer D Aiken explained that the gelding appears to have a chronic with its near fore knee and it would be his advice to the connections to retire MAXNJAX.  Notwithstanding this, D Aiken was advised that MAXNJAX would be stood down for a period of 28 days and would require a veterinary certificate of fitness to be submitted after which time MAXNJAX must complete one satisfactory official trial.

OUR SUNSET DELIGHT – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 5 – CLUB MENANGLE CAROUSEL FINAL – 2300 metres

LEXUS LOU – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Inclined to over race during the middle stages when racing with cover.  Leaving the 600 metres commenced to hang in and proved difficult to drive until passing the 400 metres.  Shortly thereafter the gelding commenced to weaken to be beaten 42 metres.  Driver C Hart explained that LEXUS LOU settled better than its most recent start however was still inclined to over race and proved difficult to drive due to the gelding’s tendency to hang in.  C Hart added that connections would now look to return the gelding to the more suitable mile distance.  C Hart’s explanation was noted.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  LEXUS LOU was placed on its last chance to race truly.

NYMBAL NZ – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

PALLADIUM NZ – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

VAN BASTEN – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.

 

 

RACE 6 – WOODLANDS STUD 3YO PACE – 1609 metres

SWIFT CODE – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Gave ground over the concluding stages.

ALERT BAY – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

LOUCASSO – Post-race swab samples were obtained.

 

RACE 7 – CLUB MENANGLE TROTTERS CAROUSEL – 2300 metres

SHOULD BEABARCA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

CALL ME JACK – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Inclined to over race throughout the event.  Hampered racing between the 400 metres and the 200 metres by SUNNY GEE which gave ground.

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

EZRA KAI – Post-race swab samples were obtained. 

SUNNY GEE – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 8 – SUCCESS STUD LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

CHARLIES ACE NZ – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare guidelines.  No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

SPARKLING SEA – Pre-race blood samples were obtained. 

JILLIBY ILLUMINATE NZ – Approaching the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait.  A warning was issued. 

GOLLY GEE FELLAS – Pre-race blood samples were obtained.  Post-race swab samples were obtained.

FARFALLA STRIDE – Out of position as the start.  Driver L McCarthy was fined the sum of $100 under rule 162(1)(h).

BELLA DANZA – Failed to run on over the concluding stages.  Trainer J Grimson explained that it would be his intention to send the mare for a spell.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  J Grimson was advised that BELLA DANZA would be stood down for a period of 28 days.
