BILLS SWAN SONG – Inconvenienced at the 900 metres when improving onto the back of ROSANNA SHANNON when the pace on the marker line eased. RACE 2 – SOHO LANIKAI AT MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1730 metres

HOPPALONGPOG – Pre-race blood sample.

SHAZADELE – Post-race swab sample.

SHELL SHOCK NZ – A pre and post-race veterinary examination as the gelding had not raced since October 2025. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Tired over the final 500 metres to be beaten 44.5 metres. Trainer N Turnbull was disappointed in the gelding’s performance as it pleased leading into the event. He further added he would have the gelding examined in the coming days and report any abnormalities from the examination. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 3 – CLUB MEMBERS BADGE DRAW PACE – 2260 metres

BEACHRIDE – Pre-race blood sample. Contacted the sulky wheel of BETTING RANGER when shifting to the inside to utilise the sprint lane in the home straight on the final occasion.

BETTING RANGER – Driver A Hurst stated she was disappointed in the gelding’s performance and although sustaining a flat tyre at the top of the home straight failed to run on as expected when placed under pressure. Trainer A Bellach also had a similar view of tonight’s run but had been disappointed with the recent start at Eugowra on 5 October 2026 where the gelding performed below expectations. He further added it would be his intention to take bloods and report to Stewards any findings of those blood test in the coming days. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ALWAYSBMYPONY – Driver V Duncan pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that leaving the 150 metres when shifting his runner wider he has done so when insufficiently clear of TASBMIKI with that runner contacting its hind leg to his sulky and being checked. Considering Mr Duncan’s guilty plea and record in relation to the rule and the totality of the incident, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 7 days. This suspension is to commence midnight Saturday 17th October 2026. Post-race swab sample.

TASBMIKI – Driver H Ross was issued a reprimand under Rule 168(1)(a) in that when negotiating the first turn when shifting his runner down the track has done so when not sufficiently clear of MEMPHIS FURY making contact to that runners’ sulky wheel and raced roughly for a short distance. Checked and raced roughly when leaving the 150 metres when the gelding’s offside hind leg made contact to ALWAYSBMYPONY’S sulky.

SAINT EMILION – Held up for clear racing room until the final 100 metres.

ITS CONFIDENTIAL – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

RIPP – Driver J Hewitt was questioned on the overall performance. He stated from the second row draw he elected to work forward to race in a prominent position in the early stages but with the fast tempo of the race and racing outside the leader proved detrimental to the horse and the horse’s overall performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

RACE 5 – BEDWELLS FEED BARN BLENDED STOCKFEED PACE – 2260 metres

MONDO GLITZ – Pre-race blood sample. Tended to over race throughout the event.

OCEAN KING – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

JUDAH RED – Prior to the all-clear being declared, Driver O Frisby was questioned if the gelding had been afforded a fair start when trailing OCEAN KING who was out of position at the start. After taking evidence from Ms Frisby and viewing the available footage, Stewards deemed JUDAH RED had been denied a fair start because of OCEAN KING breaking stride checking JUDAH RED and being out of position at the start. Acting under Rule 15(t), the gelding was declared a non-runner and all clear was given on the judges’ numbers of 4 – 1 – 9 – 5. Trainer/Driver O Frisby was further questioned on the gelding’s condition when pulling up after the race. Ms Frisby stated she was of the opinion JUDAH RED may have choked down and had some concerns with the horse’s welfare. Ms Frisby further added the gelding will be fully examined by the stable vet in coming days. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Considering the gelding’s performance, it will be stood down for one requalifying trial.

RACE 6 – YABBY DAM FARMS OWN THE THRILL PACE – 1730 metres

AWICKED WOMAN – Hung out shortly after the start. Driver N Turnbull pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 156(2(a) in that applying his whip in the home straight on the final occasion has done so with more than a wrist flicking action and has engaged his shoulder. Considering Mr Turnbull’s record in relation to this rule, his licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 14 days. This suspension is to commence following the completion of a suspension occurred at Parkes 14 October 2026. This suspension will commence at midnight 28 October 2026.
