RACE 1 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB WARATAH HEAT – 1660 metres
LETTUCE GO MIKI – Broke gait approaching the 200 metres, severely checking and locking wheels with MILLWOOD GRACE NZ and severely checking SUNSET JAY JAY. A warning was issued.
SMOOTH EURO – Pre-race blood sample. Checked and forced wider approaching the 200 metres to avoid interference involving LETTUCE GO MIKI, MILLWOOD GRACE NZ and SUNSET JAY JAY after LETTUCE GO MIKI broke gait.
A LIL BIT OF LOVE – Broke gait and was fractious during the score up. A warning was issued.
CHAMPAGNE WALSH – Post-race swab sample.
MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Over-raced and hung in during the early stages. Severely checked and locked wheels approaching the 200 metres when LETTUCE GO MIKI broke gait.
SUNSET JAY JAY – Severely checked and broke approaching the 200 metres when LETTUCE GO MIKI broke gait.
MARYVILLE ALFIE – Contacted marker pegs over the concluding stages.
RACE 2 – TERRY BROTHERS CARPET COURT PACE – 1660 metres
DUFFY HOLLOW NZ – Post-race swab sample.
UNCLE SPORTY – Paced roughly during the early stages. Broke gait approaching the 200metres. A warning was issued.
DRIVE TO THE BEACH – Underwent a veterinary examination in accordance with the aged horse examination requirements no abnormalities reported. Held up during the early part of the home straight before obtaining an inside run.
INDI AIR TONIGHT – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages. Driver Isobel Ross was questioned regarding her tactics over the concluding stages, in particular the opportunity to obtain a run to the inside. Ms Ross explained that she initially believed there was insufficient room for her sulky to safely obtain that run. By the time she recognised sufficient room was available, DRIVE TO THE BEACH, driven by Chloe Formosa, had improved into the run.
KARINYA HAZ – Pre-race blood sample.
BIZZIE LIZZIE – Broke gait after the start and a warning was issued. Over-raced during the early stages.
STUDLEIGH SUNRISE – Checked after the start when BIZZIE LIZZIE broke gait.
RACE 3 – C & S STOCKFEEDS 3YO PACE – 1660 metres
GENERAL
A false start was declared after SMOOTH JESSIE broke gait and veered out, severely checking VINIES JOLT and OUR PURPLE PEARL, resulting in drivers Jason Turnbull and Chloe Formosa being dislodged from their sulkies. TROUBLE IN ME and STRANGER EFFECT were also checked, resulting in drivers Jett Turnbull and Isobel Ross being dislodged. Approximately 50 metres further on, Ella Turnbull had pulled up KARINYA SOPHIE when the driverless TROUBLE IN ME collided with her sulky, dislodging her. All dislodged drivers were examined by the on-course paramedics, with mainly superficial injuries reported. Ella Turnbull and Isobel Ross elected to relinquish their remaining drives. All horses engaged in the race were examined by the on-course veterinarian. The late scratchings of SMOOTH JESSIE, VINIES JOLT, OUR PURPLE PEARL, TROUBLE IN ME, STRANGER EFFECT and VINNYSGAL all on vet advice the race was re-run with the four remaining runners. Mark Hewitt replaced Ella Turnbull as the driver of KARINYA SOPHIE for the re-run. SMOOTH JESSIE will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events and was stood down from racing until the satisfactory completion of one requalifying trial.
WAT ON EARTH – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 4 – WILLS KANGA HIRE PACE – 1660 metres
KADAR – Post-race swab sample.
JASPERSTIMETOSHINE – Broke gait after the start and will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events.
MY IDEAL DREAM – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 65.1 metres. In view of the performance, was stood down from racing for 14 days and until the satisfactory completion of two requalifying trials.
RACE 5 – QUICKSHINE CARWASH PACE – 1660 metres
TULHURST MOUSE – Pre-race blood sample.
TENEACHWAY – Caught wide during the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field. The gelding then over-raced. Broke gait over the concluding stages and a warning was issued.
GRANT FOR LEXY – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.
IM NO STRANGER – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – WORKLOCKER PARKES PACE – 1660 metres
LINE ME UP BRO NZ – Post-race swab sample.
STAY STRONG – Hung out after the start and contacted the sulky of LOCHINVAR COOGEE, which was racing to its outside, and subsequently broke gait. The gelding will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events. Locked wheels with JOHNNYS BLUE approaching the 300 metres.
JOHNNYS BLUE – Pre-race blood sample. Locked wheels with STAY STRONG approaching the 300 metres.
RACE 7 – DWYER CONTRACTING 2YO PACE – 1660 metres
REASON TO BE HAPPY – Post-race swab sample.
SURPRISE ARRIVAL – Tightened shortly after the start when VALENTINE GIRL hung in.
VALENTINE GIRL – Hung in after the start and again over the concluding stages.
RAIL UP BERT – Broke gait approaching the 600 metres. In view of its racing record, was stood down from racing for 28 days and until the satisfactory completion of four requalifying trials.
HIGHWAY HENRY – Underwent a pre-race warm-up. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.
SECOND SERVE – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 8 – COACHMAN HOTEL PACE – 1660 metres
BROOKLYN BANDIT – Post-race swab sample.
STUDLEIGH STARLITE – Pre-race swab sample.
CAPTAIN LLANFAIR – Hung out after the start. Raced three wide during the early stages before being restrained.
CELEBRITY CRUISE- Checked after the start when CAPTAIN LLANFAIR hung out.
RACE 9 – NELLA CONTRACTING PACE – 1660 metres
LAMNA NASUS – Post-race swab sample.
LITTLE ADELAIDE – Held up in the early part of the home straight.
STUDLEIGH SANDY – Broke gait after the start. The filly will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile start events. Broke gait again over the concluding stages and a warning was issued.
SHESFLYIN – Pre-race blood sample. Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 46.7 metres.
ARMA BITABLING – Reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
RACE 10 – HAPPY HALLOWEEN PACE – 1660 metres
ULTIMATE COOKIE – Driver Olivia Frisby was charged under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that approaching the 1500 metres she permitted ULTIMATE COOKIE to shift in when not clear of SERGEANT STRINGER, causing that runner to be checked and break gait. Ms Frisby’s licence to drive in races was suspended for seven days commencing on midnight the 30th of October.

SERGEANT STRINGER- Checked and broke gait approaching the 1500 metres when ULTIMATE COOKIE shifted in.
